I'm going to be a little nicer about this review than I had originally intended.
I had given these guys a call about a problem I was having in my house with potentially some kind of extremely small or microscopic pest. I say microscopic because my girlfriend and I were both getting small bites all over our body and were extremely itchy the whole entire time we were home. When we would leave the house the itching soon went away, only to return when we got home. For me it was worse since I live here and I actually started having a hard time breathing and was running a fever. So, Brothers Pest Control scheduled an appointment with me to come check things out for, I believe, the day or two after I had spoken with them. Mike, the owner, showed up on time and he was very polite. He inspected the house thoroughly and answered all of my questions to the best of his knowledge. He couldn't say for sure what it was that was causing all of these problems because of the nature of the situation where the bugs were potentially microscopic.
As a safety measure/alternative solution he suggested I go to the doctor's to see if it's something health related and not bugs at all. I explained to him I intended on doing that, but also told him I had been doing A LOT of reading and researching on my situation and had explained to him exactly what I thought it was. I told him that if he would be willing to spray for what I thought it was, I would pay him and not demand a guarantee. The reason I said this was because the itching was so bad it was literally keeping me up at night. He said he couldn't do that, which I understood, but was very unhappy about. I told him I'd rather have him spray than not spray in hopes of maybe getting a good nights sleep. I was literally going crazy from all of this. So he laid some glue boards down to try and catch the microscopic being and said he would return about 4 days later because he was going away for the weekend.
So the days pass and the glue boards picked up some really interesting little tiny brown and white specs all around the edge of them. It didn't look like much, but I think it was our culprit! I never heard from Mike on Monday so I just assumed he was extremely busy upon his return to work. So Tuesday rolls around and I decide to give him a buzz. No answer. Whatever no big deal. I'll leave a message...Hours pass, no return call. I was afraid this was going to happen. I try calling again. Nothing.
What I'll say in summation is this: Although Mike was very polite and friendly, he lacked knowledge on this situation and said he was going to call his entomologist. Well I doubt he ever did because he never called me back and just left me with this open ended situation. For this I give Brothers Pest Control a ZERO out of five stars. How can you just completely abandon your responsibility as a business owner and not even call back the potential customer to let them know you can't help them with their situation? This was extremely unprofessional on their behalf and I was also very insulted by this.
As for me, the actual bug bites stopped appearing, but the itching continues just as bad as it has been. The fever has gotten worse. The shortness of breath has gotten worse. Now I am getting headaches from all of this.(Probably stress related!) I've been to the doctor's and although they're not sure what it is yet, they are 100% certain that what I am experiencing is an allergic reaction to something in my house. They said it is most likely a microscopic bug! read more
