Ladybug applied 4 black boxes in my yard for a couple of months in the summertime to poison the rats around my yard from the street. After the black boxes were taken away 1 month ago, there were 5 dead rats and 1 dead squirrel in my yard within 3 weeks. I called the Animal Control of Quincy for the safe disposal method because there were health hazard concerns. Animal control picked up 3 of them and refused to pick them up anymore. We got very quick service from Ladybug, the next day actually. John was our technician and he was very knowledgeable and professional. We were noticing mouse droppings here and there. He put down the mouse stations and checked outside our house to see where they were coming in. The following day and in the two weeks since, we have not had any mouse droppings! I have a phobia of mice, so really emphasize prevention. I hired Ladybug after seeing their good reviews on Google, and they were extremely responsive (they came the next day). The technician set down traps in the living room and kitchen and plugged up holes he found. He was very reassuring, and took an extra look at my bedroom and bathroom when I asked him to. This is the second time we're using Ladybug for pests in a house we bought just a few months ago. In the spring they came out quickly to help us deal with yellow jackets in the eaves of our home. Very professional and thorough in their examination of the property and got the job done well. We have them out now to deal with rats entering the house through our stone foundation. I'm late in writing their review. I called them about a month ago for a very unfortunate problem, rats in the yard, and they made an unpleasant situation totally bearable! First, I was impressed to find out the business is owned by women, and I believe they are single moms, too. I love that!! When I called I told them I'm a crazy animal person and even though rats freak me out I didn't want them to suffer. They assured me that they die rather humanely, so hooray! We have always had a good experience with this company, but today was exceptional! Called at 9am spoke with friendly girl regarding a giant bald faced wasp nest in my tree. She said "let me see if we can squeeze you in today." She called me back in 5 min saying they would be there in 10 min. Michael arrived and was so polite and friendly. He was so very knowledgeable about our situation and took time to educate my kids and I about our type of wasp including showing us sample hives etc. He swiftly and expertly took down nest and held it up to window for the viewing by my kids. It was fascinating science brought to you by Michael the exterminator. I called Lady Bug in a panic when my dog found a rat in my house. Not sure what to do, or wanting my dog to catch the rat first, Lady Bug said they would have someone out to my house in 30 minutes. My wait was at most 15 minutes and Rob showed up to take care of the situation. Rob was GREAT! He caught and disposed of the rat, as well as did a full evaluation of my house and the surrounding area outside and set additional traps just in case. We used Ladybug a few weeks ago to service an apartment and its basement. We ended up finding a mouse in the apartment no more than a week later. Ladybug offers a 30 day warranty but only if the entire building is serviced, so they declined any request to service again or give a refund. The reason being they said is because if the entire building isn't treated the mice will force their way back into your apartment and can quickly get through any holes that are filled. It seemed a bit odd to me that the material they are filling holes in with can be easily penetrated by mice in just a week, but I digress. When I further inspected the apartment myself I ended up finding another hole about the size of a golf ball that the exterminator completely missed, and was the reason the mice were still able to get inside. I sent a message to the owner, but no type of refund or reimbursement was made for their mistake. So just be aware that they may not be completely thorough when they inspect for entryways. You might be better off just buying your own sticky traps, laying them around, and then buying some material from home depot to fill in any holes. You'll save money and be able to do a more thorough inspection yourself. read more
