Thankfully there were a number of pest control companies in the area, and when we reached out to several, Green Planet Pest Control responded promptly, answered all our questions, and were able to schedule something within a day or two. The guy who came out to our house wore appropriate protection gear, and got the job done without any toxic chemicals that would've been bad for our dog or kids nearby. He also advised me on what product to get (a fairly pleasant-smelling natural spray with peppermint oil) to keep spraying in the area if I saw any return buildup, that would dissuade the wasps from sticking around. We hired Modern Pest Services for a bird nesting issue in our home and had so many issues. First, we had to pay $99 for a quote and it took weeks to get a technician out to our home. Second, once someone did arrive - he was unprofessional (disorganized, not versed in our issue) and unresponsive after the visit. We followed up a dozen times over an 8-week period, and were told Modern Pest Services actually do not handle these types of pest issues and were working with a third party. We are now over 2 months into the issue, and have yet to receive a quote. We have asked for our money back (because we never got a quote) and have gotten nowhere. So in summary, we paid this company $99 to have them not provide us a quote and completely wasted our time (+12 hours/day off of work to meet the technician). Could not be a worse experience - avoid at all costs.

My regular technician, Lee, was consistently professional and thorough. * On December 31, 2025, a different technician arrived and stated he planned to complete only an exterior inspection. I requested an interior inspection, which had routinely been included in past services. While checking the basement bait stations, the technician slipped on the stairs without wearing boot covers and spilled a his entire bag of rat bait across the basement floor. * The technician asked to use my vacuum and suggested using bleach on wood floors, neither of which was appropriate. Rat bait was tracked throughout the basement and into the main level of my home. I assisted with cleanup using paper towels and a garbage bag, as we do not own a broom. The technician indicated it was likely unsafe for my dog to access the basement. * He contacted his supervisor and inaccurately stated that I refused to provide cleaning tools. His behavior during the visit was unprofessional and verbally inappropriate. I asked that the visit be ended and rescheduled, and a supervisor assured me the technician would not return. * Despite this, I was billed for the service, and a service report was submitted stating an inspection had been completed when it had not. Due to poor customer service, inaccurate reporting, and questionable billing practices, I am canceling my service with Modern Pest effective immediately.

Our landlord's go-to exterminator is Paul, the owner of Alamo. Paul showed up and explained the entire process to us. He was extensively knowledgable about the habits and breeding cycle of bedbugs. He took the time to explain the nature of the poisons he used and was clearly knowledgable about them. He explained how to prep our house for the fumigation. Afterwards, he helped return out house to normal and told us what to expect. Throughout the experience he was very curteous and friendly and in conversation, we found out we both enjoy cooking italian. He invited me to his family's meatball cookoff and brought over some imported canned tomatoes in a follow-up visit. And were just the tenants- we aren't even the one's writing his check. I find it hard to believe Paul could be rude. Check google's aggregate rating of them- their reputation seems to be iron-clad.

We have put everything food away into bins and we are very careful about what we're leaving out. Even down to the food for the dog has to be put away. You definitely do not get what you are wanting with this company. If you want dollar traps from the dollar store then you have come to the right place. Every single one of our traps has broken and the mouse is able to get out. They say they will be back. They don't come back for weeks and they don't even bring the stuff. We have never had a problem with an exterminator before but this one is something else. If you have dogs they don't really care because they'll leave those traps everywhere
