We have two small Boston Terriers and a fenced in yard. Last spring every time they came in from…read morethe yard they had a tick or more on them. We didn't want to use harsh chemicals in the yard so we contacted Betsy from Mosquito Joe's. She was very informative and helpful to our needs. She had a technician come out a few days later and spray the yard. We noticed a considerable drop in the amount of ticks on our dogs. After the second treatment 3 weeks later the dogs never came back with a single tick. This year is the same thing. No ticks. They give us a few days notice as to when they are coming then a text when we're the next stop so we can get the dogs in and close the windows. When they're done the leave a little goody bag of bones one for each dog. I can't recommend them enough. They are a better option for us than giving our dogs tick pills or chemical collars or drops on their fur. If you have ticks you can't go wrong calling Betsy. As for mosquitoes we never had a problem with them. Also we have an acre of yard so that's no small feat to keep tick free. The price is less than half what I expected to pay.

My first call, sorry there are no appointments and I see you have an appointment in a week and a half you will have to wait. I asked for a Manager to call me. On the 4th business day I called again. I was told scheduler would call me. On the 6th business day, I was told scheduler would call me and Manager would come out. On the 7th business day, I was told I would have to wait until my appointment. My cabinet was infested with 100's of sugar ants and they just didn't care. I had 3 appointments in the prior 3 months with this same issue. Why didn't the technician look for the nest to try to resolve the problem. Why did I not get a call from the Manager. One representative told me the Manager was in the field and couldn't answer calls because he would never get any work done. I am leaving this review because this is not the first time I have called with sugar ant issues and have had to wait over a week for a technician to come out. They also have very high turnover. Most technicians don't even spray inside they just walk around the house. I also thought they were spraying for carpenter ants all these years. I was told I didn't have that service. No one ever told me, I never received anything to tell me my service changed. One more thing, if a technician doesn't show up, you will not receive a call to tell you they are not coming. It will be up to you, to call Orkin. Use a local pro, who owns the small business and needs to keep their customers happy because this is how they make their living.

They were supposed to come once a month to check for pests and deal with them. Unfortunately, they do not seem to have enough techs to service all their customers. They "cancelled" the second monthly service without informing us. When we asked when they would be out to spray for ants they said we were not covered for ants. This is not what we were told when we spoke to the salesman. For $175 a month you would expect the most destructive pest would be covered. I can't recommend this company.
