And this is where the story takes a positive turn. Signed up online and received a text with a link of who was coming and what day. Included information of what was going to be performed and how much. On the day of the appointment, my daughter let the technician in and I immediately found him to be polite, professional, and naturally friendly to my dog. I was instantly put at ease. Having never had to use a pest service, I was concerned about who would be going through my house and this poor soul had to crawl and climb all over a completely turned upside-down house, on a hot July day. Every step of the way he was a bevy of information and empathy. I was quite comfortable having him move about my house without me, he earned my complete trust. He set some bait and traps and had immediate results the evening after the first visit. He returned 2 weeks later to clear the traps (3 kills!) and seal up the outside. And since Mass Bay completed their work, no mice! In terms of value, the price was in the 3 figures. What would you pay for peace of mind? Mass Bay's options and pricing seemed fair and I will consider setting up a yearly contract with them, again for that peace of mind. I also learned quite a bit about mice in general, which was a nice add. I like when people geek out about their work, it's a good sign of happy employees. Happy employees do excellent work. MassBay was truly excellent.

    I would not recommend Pat and his company loyal pest to anyone. Our landlord has called loyal pest…read moreto our apartment 4 times now and we have had an ongoing mice infestation issue. Pats team and efforts to remedy the issue at hand was managed poorly and ineffectively. As tenants we were blamed for causing conditions conducive to mice when that was not the case. In the four visits they have made, they have not effectively sealed off the access points behind the stove and walls with the expanding foam. Our first visit with loyal pest was back in November when there was only one known mice, which was never caught, and 5 months later we have upwards of 4-5 mice. They only put down 2-3 traps behind the stove which are not nearly enough to catch all the mice we currently have. Also, they did not effectively place traps throughout the living room and rest of the house hold. Our management informed us they were coming today but did not tell us what time, and they showed up with out any warning at 855am while we we're getting ready for the work day and to work from home. When asked to come back to check the rooms after a few minutes because one of my roommates was changing, the owner scoffed and said they will not be returning. And lied and said that we refused access to the rooms. Pat, the owner, is very rude, and accusatory as to why the problem is occurring, blaming "the city" and us as tenants. When they have put little to no effort in solving the issue at hand.
