What stood out to me was the level of professionalism, character, and leadership Gary demonstrated throughout the entire interaction. There was a very slight misunderstanding regarding the services believed to have been paid for. Now, let's be honest--situations like that can go sideways very quickly. Most places get defensive, frustrated, or even confrontational when a customer believes they're right (even if they might not be entirely correct). I've seen it happen many times. Gary was the complete opposite. Instead of reacting emotionally or becoming demanding, Gary handled the situation with an incredible level of humility and grace. He calmly asked thoughtful questions, took the time to truly understand where I was coming from, and created an environment where the conversation felt respectful and productive--not tense or uncomfortable. That alone is rare. What impressed me even more was his patience and kindness throughout the entire process. There was zero ego involved--just a genuine desire to get clarity and make things right. You can't train that. That's character. Because of the way Gary handled this situation, it completely changed my perspective--not just about the business, but about how powerful it is when someone leads with professionalism, respect, and emotional intelligence. I actually walked away learning something from him. That says a lot. It's very clear why Wheel Specialists, Inc. has Gary in a leadership role. People like him are incredibly valuable to any organization. He represents the company at a very high level, and his approach to customer service is something more businesses should strive for. I had such a great experience at Discount Tire today! My low tire pressure light came on after the…read morerecent storm and sudden temperature drop, so I stopped in for their free tire pressure check. Apparently I wasn't the only one with that idea because the line was wrapped around the parking lot with at least 15 cars! Even with how busy they were, I was really impressed with the service. Derrick and another young man were outside working the tire fill station in the heat, trying to get everyone taken care of before closing. Derrick explained that since all four of my tires were low, it was most likely due to the storm and temperature change rather than an issue with one particular tire, which definitely gave me some peace of mind. What really stood out, though, was how incredibly kind, polite, and personable they both were. Derrick had apparently been out there doing this all day, and you honestly never would have known it from his attitude. They were hustling to keep that long line moving, but I never felt rushed or like I was just another car they needed to get through. Huge shoutout to Derrick and his coworker! Working outside in the Phoenix heat, filling tire after tire with a line that never seemed to end, and still treating customers with that much patience and kindness deserves some recognition. This is exactly the kind of customer service that makes you glad you chose a company. Five stars!
