Never have we had a bad experience. The food is always amazing. My husband always orders the Pakistani Platter. It's amazing! I always order the Gyro or Chicken Souvlaki. Absolutely amazing. Stopped in on 5/31/19 at about 7pm. The house manager at the time greeted us and we explained that we were running late to an event. He gladly sat us down quickly and gave us the lunch menu instead of dinner. He explained that if we order from that menu it would be served to us much faster. So we did just that and sure enough the food was served very quickly and the lunch and dinner menu are very similar. Food was outstanding and the service throughout our meal was phenomenal. I was looking for someplace that served gyros (not easy in southern NY State!) and my sister found this place. It was a drive for us, but I'm so glad we took the time. I had a gyro, which tasted wonderfully authentic, and she raved over her veggie pita. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, not soggy. I wish I lived closer - this place was fantastic. My fiance and I love coming here. The food is just on a different level than anything else offered in the area. The ambiance is very trendy. The restaurant is small though. They usually have an acoustic musician during dinner on the weekends. Very romantic. I've never heard of anyone having a bad meal here. I live the chicken Tikka and get it every time. I was excited to try this restaurant as my husband and I have our usual favorite places. I went for a lunch meeting. The interior is beautiful and the smells were amazing. We were seated in a nice little alcove and the four of us started talking. The waitress came over and took the drink order. It took nearly 15 minutes to get our water. It was another 15 minutes after that before she came back and took our orders. Another 15 minutes before the soup came and only a couple minutes later that the main course came. Not sure why it took nearly 45 minutes before we got any food since it was an early meeting and the restaurant was mostly empty. The food was fantastic. I ordered the French Onion Au Gratin soup which was delicious and the Chicken Tikka. Very spicy and great flavor. Prices are very good. Service needs to be improved. read more

The food here is amazing. I've never had anything I didn't like. I even ordered one of the salads once (which I absolutely never do) and enjoyed every bite. They are a bit pricey compared to other restaurants in the area, but they are one of the few that really seem to care about presentation. Not impressed with the food over all. Prices were high--3 small shrimp $11.00, really... and they were very greasy and fishy tasting as well, ugh! I have had excellent cocoanut shrimp elsewhere and these did not match up. We ordered several of their appetizers and found only two that were good. The atmosphere lacked a great deal. Found it very stark and uninviting. I would give them 1 star, but the staff was excellent. Too bad the rest doesn't follow. I was looking forward to something special here and was sorely disappointed. I would not return nor would I recommend this to anyone. read more

Brothers Bistro was very nicely decorated and had a welcoming feel for sure. We were seated right away, but no waitress came to acknowledge us for 10 minutes at least. We had 2 people in our party that can't eat dairy and gluten so we asked her for suggestions or if they could replace something with food that we could eat. She simply said that the most of the chicken products were gluten free & dairy free, we could've done that ourselves. We ordered and the food came out in a timely fashion, all delicious food. The chicken kabob was very good. The waitress never came back to see how we were doing the whole time and then what seemed to be a manager came over and cleared our plates. This woman never addressed herself and looked like she was a customer, dressed in jeans and a fleece. We asked her for the check and she never brought it so then our waitress finally came back and we asked her for the check too and finally got it. We spent most of the time here waiting for service, but the time we had that we enjoyed was eating the food. Overall, food was delicious! Service was terrible. Would recommend for the food, but wouldn't rave about this place. read more

Make this a must-stop! Four of us were recently in the area from New York, Chicago, Boston, and Washington, DC. We followed a recommendation to eat here, and everything we had was exceptional. French onion soup was perfect, not too salty. Chicken parmesan panini was one of the best sandwiches we ever had. Specials of the night could compete with nearly any restaurant in any of our cities. Seeing 5 star Brothers Bistro on Yelp seemed to be a sure thing and we weren't disappointed. Loved the beers, I had Mango Wheat, not sure what my husband had but we liked them both. The chicken flat bread was delicious and Sarah, our server, was friendly and efficient, but the best find was the Garlic Mango Wheat Hot sauce, yummy! Had to buy a bottle to take with us. Been here a couple of times, never been overly impressed. Prices are rather high at dinner (16-25) and portions are not very large. Appetizers are good, although again rather small - bread with dip and very good Greek salad. I've tried 2 of the 3 Indian chicken dishes - very heavy on sautéed onions and peppers, not a large amount of chicken. It's not bad, but I've had much better from Indian buffets for 8 bucks. Chicken curry and chicken tikka were very, very similar - would like to have a place to get a proper chicken tikka masala around here, but alas, their Indian fare is not very diverse. I also tried the Kobe burger which was very mediocre - bun was burnt, beef was overcooked, and it was under-seasoned. They do have acoustic music every Friday, which can be nice for a casual night out, but I could hardly hear my girlfriend when we went out to eat together. For what it's worth, my mother swears by their beef kebabs. read more

I liked this place! Since moving north a few years ago, I have been scouring New England, ny, & pa for some decent greek food. I found it at brothers bistro! Who would've thought little old olean ny would have awesome greek dishes with great flavor! Loved it. Cute and nicely decorated too. Loved the personal touches of toiletries in bathroom. Drinking glasses could stand to be cleaner & our waitress could have been a smudge friendlier & enthusiastic. But bravo to this place! A great place! read more

So Brothers Bistro came highly recommended by a friend, as well as having good reviews on yelp, so I had to try it. I stopped twice today both for lunch and dinner. From the outside it look like just another local cafe. Inside however is very nice, it's a small space that they have used to it fullest. It was fairly busy @ both lunch & dinner. The waitress at lunch was very friendly and cute. She suggested the gyro pita, which is a fav anyways so I tried it. If was great! Although they forgot to put feta on it! At dinner I ordered a steak, it's was good (not great), they had a rice side dish I loved. In Olean there's only one place in my opinion for "beef". One of the owners was tending bar (she was just visiting, but ended up serving me and her friends). We had a great conversation on the business as well as her families past business ventures in olean. Over all it was really enjoyable, I'll be back! read more
