Chicken teriyaki bento box
Adela S.

I stopped in for lunch yesterday and ordered a chicken teriyaki bento box. It started with miso soup that was a little lacking in salt but it was light and refreshing. The chicken in the bento box was plentiful and juicy while still being well cooked. The sauce was tasty and sweet that was served with the chicken and vegetables. The California roll pieces were delicious and fresh. The dumplings were a little oily, almost like the fryer temperature was too low when they were dropped in. Service was quick and the price was reasonable. I would order this meal again and try other offerings from their menu.

Excellent food. Ordered ahead both times. Ready when I got there. Nice service at the window. Our place to go when we are at our cabin.

I took my parents to Oishi and we sat at the hibachi for the first time. Service was, once again, fast and friendly. Our food was delicious!

Order lunch often, their sushi is good and their hibachi is even better.

Wasn't expecting the best quality fish from this place, so not bad on that end. Portions could've been bigger. Service was quick, staff were nice. Seems like a nice family run business. Cheap prices, nice student discount. Probably wouldn't come back, but seemed to be pretty busy with takeout. I'd recommend trying the other dishes.

The food is brought by the cashier. The miso soup ($1) was plentiful, and full of seaweed and soft tofu cubes. It was delicious. The sushi lunch special? While the fish was absolutely fresh and the proportions of stuffing to rice was proper, the rice was unflavored. This is like building a fruit pie with instant crust: These things show. There was no vinegar, salt, sugar, or toasted sesame seeds to flavor the rice, leaving the sushi unadorned. Oh, and everything is served on melamine. Hibachi is on the menu, but there are no performance tables. I guess, "stir fry" is a better description. Half the menu is beverage: Milkshakes, milk tea boba, fruit juice boba. These were very popular with the teenagers who visited on a hot day. I'll come again to try their Hawaiian poke bowl. Even though I have to bus my own table, like a fast food place.

Tiny portions. The place looks like a storage facility now. Less fish in the expensive sushi. I'd recommend Wegmans or arctic bites sushi over this. Arctic bites fried rice over this. Just avoid.

The lack of care and cleanliness makes me question the kitchen's current state. A deep cleaning would do a lot of good here. I know this restaurant, like a lot of others, has taken a huge hit since covid but that's no excuse for a lack of pride in your business. All of the staff I encountered were very friendly but I interrupted them while they were eating in the dining room As far as the food, the current cooks seem to specialize more with the Chinese dishes. I ordered Thai red curry and I could barely eat it. The chicken was too soft which was unappetizing. I don't know why there was pineapple in it either. My sister and I both found a hair in our food. The salad was just iceberg lettuce and nothing else. If I were to order here again, I would only get something like beef with broccoli to be safe.

But, even though there were a good amount of people there, our wait was short. We had one of the Hibachi tables. Our waitress was a very pleasant and efficient young asian woman. She was quick and professional the whole time. The food runner we had could have been better. She nearly spilled the Miso soup on my friend and didn't bother to clean it up. When our waitress came back, she was the one to wipe it up. The Miso soup and the salad was so good. I did get a big chunk of lettuce spine in my salad but it was still good. The Hibachi chef was very energetic and entertaining. He interacted with my friend's baby, which was cute. This was the baby's first time and his eyes got huge when the oil fire was set off! The Hibachi food was delicious. A little on the salty side but very good. Huge portions too. One meal is enough for two whole meals. So good! Can't wait to go back again.

We were given a warm greeting at the door, escorted to a pleasant table, and given menus. As with most Asian restaurants, there were a lot of different offerings. I chose to have their Hibachi Filet Mignon while my Beloved simply went for a Philadelphia roll of smoked salmon, avocado, and cream cheese. Beloved found his roll to be good tasting but nothing particularly special and I pretty much thought the same of my dish. As the place was spotlessly clean, the service good, and the food decent, I certainly wouldn't hesitate to come back. And I should admit, that being from Fort Lauderdale where there are excellent sushi restaurants on near every block, I think I'm rather spoiled,
