First time there. Fabulous service and seating. Chose breakfast as my choice via noon. Ordered western omelette with hash browns. Plus coffee. My cup never went empty. Omelette was huge and loaded. Not dried out like at Jimmy's Eggs. Plus omelette was cooked in butter. Not oil. Same for huge serving of hash browns. Fried in butter and huge as well. Their grits were also excellent. I substituted my toast for grits. Coffee was delicious. Loved how my cup never went dry. Had enough left over to take home. Wonderful place. Excellent prices for the quality of food. I will look forward to my next visit to try something else on their huge menus. 10 stars if I could give it. read more

This is your typical old school diner. Chatter across the atmosphere, consistently good, hot food. I always get good service here. Never disappointed with their breakfast. Great staple to Brookside. Great food! Home fries were awesome! We had breakfast at about 3 pm and it was freshly cooked and super tasty! They were short handed and Amy Jo was the only waitress. They weren't packed but several tables were occupied and she did a great job taking care of us! We really enjoyed the food and it was a lot!! It was well worth the price - which was very reasonable!! It's definitely on our list of new breakfast spots, and we can't wait to try the lunch and dinner choices too!! read more

Great place. Food was delicious, I got the Country Fried Steak (I think they call it Chicken Fried Steak around here). It was a big portion and excellently seasoned and fried. I would recommend it highly. Would have given it 5* but the waitress was terrible. No refills on water or coffee during my meal. Coffee only when I got my check but I was leaving then. This place is amazing. AMAZING. I had a waffle with fruit and a side of hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were made exactly as I like them, shredded with a mix of crispy and non-crispy pieces. I also ordered two cinnamon rolls to go, not knowing that just one cinnamon roll takes up an entire styrofoam box! For a cinnamon roll connoisseur as myself, I was over the moon. Service was also great, my waitress was Tammi and she kept me highly caffeinated with plenty of coffee refills. The breakfast here is very good, however, avoid the biscuits and gravy they are sub par. The biscuits were rubbery and looked to have been microwaved with some congealed looking margarine brushed on top - not appealing , the taste was also off putting as was the gravy. Sorry owners but your biscuits and gravy are a fail! I make biscuits ( and gravy) from scratch all the time and the should be flakey and light not the texture of a bad science experiment . Tsk tsk Now, the omelette I ordered was perfection! I ordered the bacon and avocado and it lived up to the hype as did the home fries , remember skip the biscuits and just order the toast !!! I live Brookside adjacent and often pass this establishment on my way to and from home. I have to say first of all that the waitress was very nice and attentive. This is the best thing that I can say about the place. I ordered coffee and a fajita omelette because it said that it was served with Swiss cheese, WRONG!..They don't even use real cheese. This was white processed American cheese food and the omelette was very salty and very greasy. The coffee was also stale and bitter. Plus it was very expensive. I paid `$13.50 for an omelette and coffee, which I wouldn't have minded had any of it been edible, also my toast wasn't even toasted. I will not be eating there again and will discourage any friends I have from going there read more

Brookside Diner is super clean, has delicious breakfast food, and employs a friendly staff. We arrived here over the weekend for the first time and will certainly be back. One of the servers seats you at a table. You give them your order and food comes out. The check is left on your table and you get up to pay the cashier. The food came out fast and there were no complaints from me or my breakfast party. They even have the 2x2x2 item for $7.99. Not a bad deal at all for breakfast! The next time I'm back, I'll need to try their gigantic cinnamon roll. read more

Im giving this a five star, not because of the food. The food i give a 3.5. Same dinner kinda food. I went on a saturday and it was busy but they sat us quickly. Not to fancy on the inside but its open. All that aside im giving it a five because our server STACY was absolutely fabulous. I Showed up and forgot my debit card and she let me eat anyway(of course i ran and got my card and came back to pay). I spilled a huge glass of ice and water (im a klutz). I hate writing reviews like this, but if it helps others have a better experience I'll do it. First off, the food was great. My burger was one of the best I've ever had. My daughter's chicken had a delicious coating on it. My parents loved their food too. Now the bad part. The server was just not up to par. She seated us, basically threw the menus in my lap and left. She returned to take our order and returned with our drinks. After this my dad noticed she sat down with a couple and visited with them for at least ten minutes. No biggie - maybe she was on a break. She came back with our appetizer and went back to the kitchen. Everything went well as she brought our meal and dropped off the check. We were in the middle of our meal (the server never came and checked on us) when my daughter knocked over her drink. We tried to get someone to bring a towel, but there was no one around. Everyone had disappeared to the back. My daughter had to walk to the kitchen to ask for help. Someone handed her a stack of napkins. No one offered a towel or anything else. We cleaned up the best we could with the napkins and waited for someone to come out. After several minutes the server returned with a broom and tub. She swept up some of the ice, asked my daughter what she had been drinking and left. Next thing we know, she's sitting down again at a different table visiting with a different family. There's still soda and ice on our table and floor. The server finally came back with my daughter's drink and asked if we needed boxes for our food. We decided that had our daughter not spilled her drink we never would have seen our server after she dropped off the check. We were never asked if we needed a refill on drinks or if the food tasted okay. Had the restaurant been extremely busy I would have been sympathetic, cause I know what it's like to be short-handed. However, the place wasn't very busy. It's such a shame that the experience with the server offset how great the food tasted. I'd love to go back for another burger. read more

Not recommended went on a saturday morning there are is so many things wrong with this place. Walked in the waitress were arguing whos turn it was. The waitress we had she was older boy cut hair and chunky loud and acted like she was on something moving her lip all.crazy to the side and forgetful and RUDE!! Like really as old as you are and can't get it together. Finally got order food was good. Went to pay and you have this cashier barking at people grabbed ticket out of my hand banging the keys on cash register and demanding money. Like serioulsy??? I had to choose a star to rate this place and didn't even want to but just to let people know go with caution. It's a cute place, just the staff, Well all I would say for a owner on Brookside I wouldn't think he would have better taste in staff and clean it up a little. If you go to any other resturant on brookside the girls just seem to be more lets say sutable for the these types of poaitions. But each to their own. I just won't recommend that place untill they get their act together. Sorry and it's sad because they really do have good food. And with people like my career, we have tons of lunch meeting and always looking for a great spot to always go to. But the appearance dose count as well. read more
