Another fantastic Yelp recommendation!! I LOVE this app and I LOVE when I experience fantastic service and great food when I'm out of town and unfamiliar with the best a city has to offer. We strolled in at 9am on a Sunday and there was a booth in the corner that was available for our group of 7. Service was so fast and friendly. The restaurant was sparkling clean and smelled so fresh! No sticky tables or menus (pet peeve of mine). Close attention to detail was given in every area of the diner. I appreciated that my special requests to tweak the Brookside skillet was no problem. The biscuits were fresh, fluffy and so delicious! Pancakes were perfection! The omelettes are out of this would!! There's not one thing on the menu that didn't sound good. I have no shame in eyeing other people's orders and there wasnt plate served that didn't look mouthwatering delicious. I was offered multiple coffee refills during the meal and THEY HAVE HAZELNUT CREAMER ON THE TABLE (little details)!! This was by far the best breakfast we've had in a long time! We stopped in here one Tuesday evening because we were craving breakfast for dinner! I love that they have an all day breakfast menu! People who recognize that breakfast is the best meal and should be served all day are my kinda people! I ordered a pancake and biscuits and gravy. My husband ordered something with avocado but I cannot remember the same! We ordered eggs for my 11mo! The food was pretty average and what you'd expect from a traditional diner! The eggs, pancakes, and gravy were the instant kind, which gravy can be difficult to make so I can understand why places go the instant route. The biscuits were delicious! We didn't order anything off the lunch/dinner menu so I can't speak for that. The restaurant looks like it could use a good clean, especially the bathrooms. Our table was dirty when we sat down which can definitely make you go hmm when you're about to eat somewhere! I gave this place 4 stars instead of 3 because of the staff! The staff was absolutely wonderful and everyone was so kind! We really enjoyed our waitress and everyone in the business. We would come back here but it wouldn't be my first choice. read more

This is my favorite diner in Tulsa. They have typical diner food. The lunch/dinner menu is meh, but their breakfast menu is where it's at. The omelets and skillets are my favorite. The portions are huge, and the food is delicious. I have not been disappointed with breakfast. Just make sure you ask for the breakfast menu, since sometimes they don't offer both. It is served all day. The best part is the service. The servers are super friendly and attentive. That puts them head and shoulders above the local chains (Denny's I'm looking at you). This was our first time to Brookside. The food was delicious. The chicken on the waffles and chicken order was some of the best I've had. The hash browns also garner a special mention; crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Good food at very reasonable prices is what you get here. Located in Brookside -- one of my favorite areas in town. Afterwards you can stroll the sidewalks and check out the local merchants and Oklahoma gift shops. We ordered a basic breakfast with scrambled eggs, country fried, bacon, and biscuits and gravy. No complaints with the food -- the potatoes were not greasy and the eggs light and fluffy. Bacon was thick. If you like biscuits and gravy you'll love these. Service was very friendly but a bit slow at times but that is everywhere these days. There is a large outdoor patio too which is a plus in times of COVID. read more

That cinnamon roll... was HUGE! And delicious. Found this gem while staying in downtown Tulsa and needing a good old fashioned breakfast. I ordered the breakfast sandwich that had real thick cut bacon, cheese, and scrambled eggs on Texas toast. You can choose your meat and egg style. It was delicious. Definitely worth a stop if an upscale brunch isn't your style, but you prefer good home cooking. Prices were very affordable and you get a lot of food! read more

We were in Tulsa for the weekend and decided to go to Mass on our way out of town and found this little gem just down the street from the church. The food is good, one reviewer said they thought the gravy might be from a packet and they may be right but I'm giving this place 4 stars bc the service was so friendly and attentive and they offer breakfast options that allow you to get both sweet and savory in one meal which is my biggest dilemma every time I go out for breakfast. read more

I tried this place as I have friends that go regularly. Both the detergent smell is overwhelming. The servers are great. Have had the Rueben, taco salad, and corned beef hash. Pass on the taco salad it was over cooked tasteful ground beef and the salad was mainly the thick end pieces. The Rueben and fries were nice. Don't judge me but I love canned corned beef and they do a nice job with crispy side. I will probably only be back if my friend insist on this place. read more

I love this small dinner! Their breakfast menu is great. The people that work there are so kind & friendly. The food is great, reminds me of my grandma cooking. Like all of the other reviews, the service here is great. Some might say a bit much but better over checking then not checking at all. And we are a needy group. We went with 6 and beat the rush but the 2 that got sausage said the sausage was cold :/. 2 ordered the cowboy skillet and both enjoyed. I got the chicken fried steak breakfast & it was enjoyable. My husband got a skinny spinach omelet, and well, what can you say about that. My son got a waffle. The portions are huge and I like that the waffle isn't just a la cart. This place is everything that I look for in a good diner. They have great lunch specials and excellent pie. I had the hamburger steak, my wife the Philly steak sandwich, and my daughter had the grilled cheese. There was another family there with us so we had a total of 9 in our party. The drinks never went below half and the waitress was on her game. Management checked on us several times to make sure we were taken care of. The bread at this place was awesome. Where's the brook ? I had pictures in my head of a quiet Brook side restaurant gazing over a rippling brook. I got a gray industrial restaurant that serves industrial sized meals. The food was good hot and freshly made I think. Lots of locals eat here. When I was there for breakfast and lunch on two separate days there was a short wait. After several visits, I am as happy with Brookside Diner as the first visit. My omelettes are not greasy - just full of the meat, vegetables and cheese I ordered. Same with the hash browns. The biscuits taste home made, are lite but not 'bready,' and the gravy, though not the sausage gravy I prefer, is substantial and unlike the the milky stuff served by others and I suspect is mostly a mix with too much water. The service is cheery, the dining room is clean, parking is more than adequate (especially before 9 am). Brookside Diner is a great addition to your options for Tulsa breakfast! read more

We are glad this place is here! It's a great little diner with good food and ample portion sizes. The food was standard diner breakfast fair, tasty, and decently priced. I had the Cowboy (crispy chicken fried steak covered in biscuits, gravy, and potatoes) and it was enough for 2 people easy. They just opened up so the inside of the restaurant still could use some more decorations but I think if they keep pushing the 60s diner feel, it will compliment the diner vibe nicely. Service was good but a little slow due to the busy Saturday morning breakfast rush. We highly recommend this place if you're just looking for something good and affordable. read more
