Did you know that 80% of the people who wear bras wear the wrong size? The woman who helped me and sized me and found me the perfect size and style, Diana, is AMAZING! I had no idea how off my size was and she fitted me with the proper size. When I tell you I felt like a new woman, I am not exaggerating. My tops looked instantly better, I got almost an inch of lift, and my posture was much better. It was a total game changer, and now I will be going every year to get sized and to purchase bras there. The prices for the bras are a bit $, but they are worth it. I will no longer buy cheap, ill-fitting bras after this experience. Diana was saying it is a good idea to get fit each year because your size can change over the years. She mentioned a year is a good rule of thumb because bras will start to wear as you wear them and wash them. She gave me proper instructions for washing and care. I fully believe this is an investment you should budget if you are able. I never knew that having a properly-sized bra could make a world of difference. Worst experience ever with the cashier this afternoon. We've been customers of this store for years…read moreand have never been treated as carelessly as we were today. Don't get me wrong, the salesman was very helpful pulling sizes and giving great advice. The tailor was also knowledgeable and did a good and was friendly. Things however went quickly south when we got to the cashier to pay. To say that the young woman at the register was rude as an understatement. There was not only a lack of basic retail service skills, but the young woman's attitude was borderline hostile. Basic questions about the breakdown of the charges and any discounts we might be able to take advantage of were met with rolled eyes, huffing, and puffing...at one point she literally walked away and starting ringing up another customer! I've worked retail and know it's a tough job, but this is NOT who you behave with customers, especially when we were nothing but courteous. K&G, do better with vetting, hiring, and training your staff! This was absolutely ridiculous. I'm angry that I had to interact with this person and your company should be ashamed to employ someone like that.

I think the floors need a good cleaning from the remodel because all the shoes had sandy grit on the bottom from previous try ons. This must be the most basic heel (except for a nude color?), but the selection was minimal because a HUGE part of the womens section was boots. Boots are great and it is December in New England, but they don't work with a suit at work, a wedding, etc. Sure you can order from the website, but you may need to order 5-10 pairs to find just the right one (and then schlep them all back to the store for a return). Lots of parking right out front, but so-so inside.

We were greeted shortly after entering the shop, asked if we were looking for anything in particular and immediately they set to work with ideas. In the end I returned for the sweater and bought another layering article that was too cute to leave. Nice clothes. Lovely staff. Definitely worth a look.

Until my last shopping experience. I had gotten a coupon in the mail for what seemed like a very generous offer. I don't remember what it is, but it was very good. Enough to get me into the store, which was their goal. The discount was for something like a flat amount off the total purchase, or maybe a percentage discount. Don't really remember but you get my drift I hope. After trying on a handful of shoes, I found three or four pairs that I was happy with and wanted to buy. I brought them to the front of the store, which was being staffed by a guy i had been chatting with my whole time there. He was very personable and friendly. Good guy. He rang up my order and went to use my coupon. Ladies and gentlemen, this is when the malarkey started to happen. I had naïvely assumed I would just be able to use the coupon on any shoes in the store. How stupid of me! DXL is a corporation, of course they'll be operating with predatory practices. After reading it, I realized that I had got sent a coupon for a discount for shoes in which probably half the stores inventory did not qualify for.
