He usually gets a plain pie (pizza with cheese), which he says is great, and I have had several different kinds of pizza during our visits to Sal's and each one has been amazing - plus, they have garlic powder at each of the tables. The calamari and tiramisu are also fantastic!! The service is always great - our servers are consistently friendly and helpful. The place is super cute and homey and can accommodate both big and small parties. It's a good thing that Sal's is 20 minutes from us, or else we would probably be here at least 3 times a week, something that would do considerable damage to both of our waistlines.

It's like they take an old slice, throw new toppings on it, and call it good. They didn't used to do this. They used to add cheese, heat it properly, and the slices were actually good. Unfortunately, the last four or five times I've ordered a slice, it's been disappointing every time. Literally the last two slices I've gotten I took one bite, and just threw it in the trash!

I had to ask three separate times for refills, and the third time I actually had to get up and find our server at the bar, where she was sitting, still discussing the schedule. When the pizza finally arrived, it was delicious. But basic things like Parmesan and pepper weren't offered. I had to flag someone down to ask. And even though we'd just received our food, the lights on the patio were turned off while we were eating, and we were brought a box very quickly, which felt like a not-so-subtle hint to leave. Let's start with the wife, which truly speaks to the five stars because she frankly doesn't love Italian food. She eats it when I beg. And she loved it. She actually proactively mentioned she wanted to go back. That's like 7 stars right there it's so abnormal. I agree with her. The chicken parm was fantastic. Amazing. To top it off, our server was great and when I mentioned we were new to the area and it was our first trip she was so nice telling us the history of the original and the other stores, and the manager later stopped by to continue that conversation as the server told her we were new. I mentioned that I live closer to the Scottsdale store, and she said it's the same food and I'll like it just as much. I circled around twice including the parking lot by the car wash and State Farm and called Vito's asking for advice where to park and was told Walgreens across the street due to a big party they were having in the basement. Lastly, Vito's has a happy hour menu, the discount used to be better in the past so lately I haven't ordered from it. However, the frustrating part is in the summer the only way to benefit from them is to sit outside on the patio. I wish they allowed for seating for happy hour specials during hot summer months to be inside as well.

They had a little nook of tables that was perfect and I kept in the back of my mind for any events that I may need a location for. Enter Keri's Baby Shower - Slice, Slice Baby! What a perfect low key baby shower idea, and an amazing location where we hosted on their patio for a relaxing event. The pizza always has an exceptional cheese pull, and delicious. Loved the set up on the table for a grab a plate and add some delicious items (pizza, wings, and salad) with drinks/cups on another table. I can see this set up working for graduations as that season is coming up, baby showers, birthday parties, or even just a date night sitting in one of their booths. (FYSA my review is for the one off Lindsay and Gilbert Road in Gilbert, Arizona, but I didn't see that on here so I'm just putting it on Brooklyn's page) I wasn't planning on doing a pizza taste test while I was in Arizona, but that's exactly what ended up happening, and Brooklyn V's came out on top. What's probably important to mention is that I'm not a first-time customer. I lived in Arizona for five years, and Friday nights were pretty much split between Brooklyn V's and another local pizza spot. Over that time, I've probably eaten at Brooklyn V's 20 to 25 times, so I have a pretty good baseline for what they're capable of. During this trip, I decided to do a side-by-side (100% blind-no bias here) comparison, slice for slice, judging everything from appearance and freshness to firmness, texture, consistency, and overall taste. To my surprise, Brooklyn V's took the win. The first thing I noticed was the freshness. The ingredients tasted fresh, the cheese had great flavor, and the overall quality was immediately noticeable. The crust had that perfect New York style balance where it was firm enough to hold its shape but still had just the right amount of flexibility when you folded the slice. If you're a pizza person, you know exactly what I'm talking about. What really stood out was the consistency. Nothing felt overcooked. Nothing felt rushed. Everything seemed intentional. The texture, flavor, and overall bite were exactly what I want from a good New York style pizza. One thing I've always appreciated about Brooklyn V's is that they don't seem focused on being flashy. They focus on making good pizza, and after all these years, that formula still works. Having eaten here regularly over a five-year period, I can honestly say this wasn't some lucky visit. The quality has been consistently good for as long as I've been coming here. This most recent visit simply reminded me why Brooklyn V's became one of my regular Friday night stops in the first place. If you're looking for quality New York style pizza in Gilbert, this place absolutely deserves a visit. After more than 20 visits over the years, I'm happy to say Brooklyn V's is still delivering the kind of pizza that keeps people coming back and excited (especially those of us who might have been drooling thinking about their Pizza for the last 800 miles of a road trip-). read more

Best pizza and garlic knots in the Phoenix region, hands down. I can't stand when everyone claims "New York Style Pizza" and ends up being nowhere even close. I'm a New Yorker and moved out here four years ago. I have traveled throughout all 48 of the continental United States multiple times and always find it humorous and disappointing when a place makes claims with their fake NY Style sign. A friend recommended Brooklyn V's because his Long Island wife says it's the only place she will eat pizza here in Phoenix. I took him up on the suggestion and am so glad I did. The second the garlic knots came out I knew. I then had my plain cheese slice come out and it has the perfect thin crust slight crisp yet still foldable feel to it. He uses much better mozzarella cheese than anyone else and knows how to manipulate the water to get it like The City water (come on, there is only one city you can call The City - NYC). Finally, my stuffed shells came out. They were fantastic. And, my waiter did what no other waiter has done outside of the northeast (and because of this I knew I was at a true NY owned Italian/pizza joint). He asked if I wanted a loaf to go with my stuffed shells. Yeah, most places throw some bread on the table (what Italian place wouldn't), but a true Italian place has a good crispy outside soft inside Italian slices loaf coming and coming until the check is paid. And, sometimes even more after that. The owner came out when he heard I was from NY to check on my wife and I and see what we thought. We ended up having a conversation for 15-20 minutes. Great guy who knows his pizza. It was nice talking about NY with him. Plain and simple, you want the best pizza and garlic knots in Phoenix metro and some damn good Italian food? Take the trip to Brooklyn V's. We go there from Ahwatukee, which is a haul, but totally worth it. Again and again, our pizza spot. It should be yours, too. read more

I didn't really know what I was missing until I ate here for dinner! I love pizza and this is now my go to restaurant for anything Italian! I am so happy to find a place that is 100 times better than chain pizza places but still affordable. The food was all good! (The only thing that I thought could be a little better was the garlic knots, mine was pretty oily...but everyone else enjoyed them). I'm pretty skeptical about ordering spaghetti out at restaurants but it was divine. The alfredo was gone in minutes..so creamy and delicious. I love that the food tasted homemade (except way way yummier!). The Margherita pizza was amazing. And I love that the pizza tastes just as good the next day reheated in my oven! The service was exceptional and the owners are so genuine and kind. They go above and beyond and are willing to do anything to make the customers happy. I'm here to review and made an account just because the last review I saw is completely wrong and immoral. It seems like the person who left the negative review might be a competitor. The food here is never bad, the place is very clean. This happens to be the best freakin' pizza place in and around Gilbert by a very long shot. I order food every day because I'm a single hard-working guy who hates to cook. I order from this place maybe 2 - 4 times a week; that's how good they are. Their employees are the best, their food is the best, their prices are better than other places, and it's a very clean place. For someone to say otherwise is to lie to you. Just buy one dish from Brooklyn V's and buy the same dish from another restaurant and you will notice that Brooklyn V's food looks better, tastes better, and seems much much fresher. I have used Yelp for years and this is my first review. I went to Brooklyn V's yesterday because a friend recommended it. I am from Brooklyn and the pizzeria that I was going to closed so I was a bit skeptical. I am so glad I tried it! The owner was there and he was such a nice guy. Sorry, I already forgot his name. While I waited for my order he came over and gave me a free slice of pizza and a drink just because I was a new customer (and maybe because I was from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn). Anyway, I will be going back and trying them for dinner. The place is really nice with big booths and I believe they have someone come in and play music during the dinner hour on occasion. The first time I went here it was delicious. I took my children in for the lunch special and received great service from the owner. The second time I ordered I decided to have it delivered. The pizza was disgustingly greasy the garlic knots were burnt I was just so disappointed that they would that this leave the restaurant like I was I was genuinely shocked the owner seemed to have taken such pride and joy in what he did and I just, I was blown away. We've been to this place twice and really liked it. Yes I said LIKED it. We just came in for dinner and sat for 10 minutes waiting to be served... nothing nada. Another customer ( a regular I'm assuming since they called him by name) walked in sat down and was served instantly. Well that's it, we walked out but not before telling them that we were disappointed. The two girls behind the counter looked as if they were lost. The girl in red was more interested her soda she was drinking and the girl in black was more concerned with dirty tables. Today I was invited to go have lunch here and let's just say it must have been destiny because I fell in love with this place with the first bite. The food here is absolutely amazing and genuinely authentic. I had never had stromboli before so I got the pepperoni, sausage and meatball stromboli. The thing was huge and tasted so good I ended up eating the whole thing. It's been a few hours and im still full. Our waitress Desiree was absolutely delightful. What a sense of humor! Amazing food and quality service. The atmosphere is great and the service is phenomenal. The restaurant is fairly new (opened about a year ago) and the staff really makes you feel at home. I'm originally from New York myself, and I absolutely love Brooklyn V's, it makes me homesick in the best kind of way! I've tried all of their pizzas, a few of their dinners and all of their strombolis. The food is incredible. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to ANYONE! Was at the goodwill and decided to drop in for a slice of pie, and sure glad I did. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Vito! He is such a cool guy he makes sure that he goes up to every table to introduce himself and then ensure everything was to satisfaction. It's great to see an owner that involved in his business! His manager Anna is awesome to so tentative to the guests they make you feel like your in Brooklyn! I will for sure be back and recommend you try! Wings are always good, but I like to request them crispy with extra sauce cause there never seems to be enough. Ranch is delicious and house made. I love that you can order a completely different pizza on each half for the same price! General cook on the pizza, needs to be a little longer, but maybe that's just my preference. Calzone was not my favorite, as it was soggy and undercooked.

Since it's a smaller business, they mainly do takeout and delivery, however they do have 2 small booths to eat at which we've done before. They also have amazing wings which are always big and meaty with a variety options for sauces and seasonings. Rino D's has always consistently been our go to for pizza and wings!

The small portion comes with 3 and large with 5. I also ordered a chicken, spinach and apple salad. This was ok, very oily. I don't think I'd order this again. I would come back and try one of their pizzas which I think is what they're more known for.

It's something different but I think I would have liked Margherita more. The pepperoni was also good but I didn't really taste any hot honey on it so Im not sure if there was any added or not. There was a good amount of meats and veggies on both pizzas. The bottom of the pizza and the crust had a nice crunch to them too. I wouldn't mind trying the Margherita pizza next time. Order total for 2 pizzas was $75.62, which seems like a lot.

It all came down to a server manipulating the orders that were placed to ensure her tables were served first. The kid that originally took my order had nothing to say when I finally got my food. There was no apology, and no management around to ensure this type of garbage service didn't happen. So, you've earend your one star review from me, enjoy it, your staff worked hard for it. My advice to management is to keep your eyes glued to how your employees are conducting themselves, because this should have never happened. There are plenty of other places people can get a pizza, and your service spoke loud and clear saying we don't care, go some place else. Will do next time. My kid said Italian beef sandwich was pretty good although I did not taste it. My wings on the other hand.... It was not bad, hot wings were not hot what so ever, no heat to it at all. I might be feeling cheap but I was having hard time with 7 wings for over $19. With side of ranch and few celery sticks. Over all I would have given 3.5 leaning more toward 3 then 4 but service was awesome and pizza over all was not bad. Just very pricey. I didn't take picture of the bill because I didn't pay.. One bite of their 8-corner and I was transported straight back to 18-year-old me in Indiana, except now I have a mortgage and bad knees. This is that pizza. The crust? Chef's kiss. Chewy in the middle, crunchy where it counts, with those gloriously caramelized, cheese-frico edges that make the corner slices actual religious experiences. Light sauce, well-done -- perfection. One 10" 8-corner feeds me for days (leftovers hit different at 2 a.m. when you're questioning your life choices). I live way out in deep Queen Creek. Do I care? Nope.
