Let's start with the positive. Salads and dressings are good. The pasta has never disappointed. The service if you dine-in or are waiting on a carry out order has always been solid. But the pizza... I really wanted to enjoy the pizza. And I don't mind a little grease on my pizza, but every time I've gotten it here it's been absolutely drenched in grease. To the point where you can't taste anything but the grease, even after multiple attempts to soak it up. I always force myself to stomach a couple pieces, but I just regret it and feel sick afterward. It may not be a big deal for some, after all pizza is traditionally a 'greasy' meal, but in my opinion you should be able to taste ingredients that go into the pizza and enjoy it without being overwhelmed by the grease. On the topic of ingredients, maybe using higher quality meat and cheese, with a little less fat.. or sauce with a little less oil. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to give it another chance. read more

Ordered pizza for delivery. Pizza was ok but they missed toppings that I paid for and when I asked for a refund for the cost of the missing toppings, they refused to refund that amount. They would only give me a credit for the next time I order. Very frustrating and bad customer service. read more

For me to give a pizza place 5 stars it has to be good on all aspects. This place exceeded all my expectations and deserves 5 stars! I wanted to treat my husband to lunch for Father's day, and he had this place bookmarked and has been wanting to try it, so today was the day. This place is located in a strip mall, and has ample seating. They were moderately busy and only had two guys waiting tables, that did not stop the amazing service we received from our server Brian. After reviewing the menu, we decided on the 6 piece garlic knots as an appetizer, and I ordered the bowtie pasta with pesto sauce and my husband ordered a 14" bruschetta pizza. It wasn't long after ordering that our garlic knots came out. They were smothered with ooey gooey mozzarella cheese and were very good. Some of the best! I wasn't even done eating my last knots when my huge bowl of pasta came out, the pasta was cooked perfect al dente and you could clearly tell that the pesto sauce was homemade. My husband snuck a couple of bites and was impressed, as was I. I couldn't finish the whole bowl, so I brought it home and can't wait to have it again for supper. My husband's pizza came out just after my food, and I took a piece and it was so good, hot and flavorful. The crust was crispy and complemented the toppings perfectly. I found the prices to be reasonable, our bill before the tip was under $50! Not too shabby, as I would have paid more for the amazing food and service we received here. We were glad to finally try this place, and not only was our server Brian top notch with his witty comments and engaging personality, but the place was clean and it felt like a family owned place would be. Moving to Gilbert we struggled for a while to find an Italian restaurant that was actually truly authentic. My husband has allergies to soy and canola oil and we were looking for a place that used olive oil. Brooklyn V's is very authentic! Their pizzas, sauce, pasta dishes are so good! They have generous portions and use a nice amount of real cheese on their pizzas! They also have a gluten free pizza option, which is helpful for me. My only request would be that they add the option for a gluten free pasta for their homemade pasta dishes. read more

I went in today to check out a new pizza place...the restaurant was clean, gorgeous desserts, super friendly employee, the owner even served me a drink, feeling good already about the vibes and anticipating my first bite....before even I even finished enjoying my first bite the phrase "Love at First Bite" jumped into my mind. This place is relatively small, but they have powerfully delicious food and a friendly atmosphere. We don't go often, but we do go for fun family events and always enjoy when we do. Pizza, pastas, heros, and calzones are all fantastic. read more

Was looking for Italian and Brooklyn V's popped up. Located in a small strip mall it's not much to look at from the outside. Inside is super casual booth seating that was packed. Pizza being tossed back in the kitchen, take out orders being picked up--it was hopping and felt like New York. I liked it immediately. We were hungry and ordered garlic twists, chicken pesto pizza, a Stromboli, stuffed shells and the spaghetti with sausage and peppers. Everything was so good! Had way too much and could have skipped the twists. Also grabbed cannoli and a slice of cheese cake Pizza crust and sauce were really good. Would try a different combo next time. Shells were tender and flavorful. Spaghetti, sausage and peppers were so good. I barely put a dent in it but left with a bunch of leftovers. All agreed the Stromboli was the best pick of the night--packed with meats and cheese with a bright marinara for dipping. Yum. The desserts were good but probably could have skipped the chocolate sauce. Best of all what the great service from Kyle - took care of all of our requests for extra napkins and sauce and even threw in an extra cannoli so we could all have one (an order is three, he gave us a fourth). Brooklyn V's is the bomb! My husband and I went In dinner on Wednesday night and ordered it via Door Dash on Saturday because we just couldn't get enough! The Stromboli was absolutely amazing! Pizza was excellent! Wish I knew what they did differently about their crust, it's like so chewy soft and crunchy at the same time. The Caesar salad came on the most ice cold plate and the dressing was so good, I bet it's homemade and the lettuce was crisp and crunchy. We finished our dinner with some choc chip cannolis to go. This is THE restaurant to go for authentic Italian food and vibes! My husband took me on a lunch date and our waiter Vinnie was so kind making sure we had everything we needed, we didn't have to ask for anything because he already had thought of it! We got their Chicken Bruschetta Pizza and their Baked Ziti and shared it was perfect and we have a ton of left overs that we are so excited to eat later. We decided we couldn't leave without trying their cannolis and homemade cheesecake that was banana crème but they have a variety and we heard Vito makes different kinds all the time! The first two times I had Brooklyn V's I was blown away. I thought it was soo good but each time I've gone back it hasn't been the same since that very first time I tried it. Lately our pizza seems super greasy and the crust is so tough. I hate to say it but tastes like roller rink pizza. We absolutely loved the fried jalapeño ravioli the first time we had it but multiple times we've gotten it they are over cooked and inedible. They always forget the sauce sides like pizza sauce for the fried ravioli or ranch for our salad. I've given them a shot so many times but it's too inconsistent. The last 5 times we've gotten take out I've been really disappointed. read more

Prices on the menu here do NOT match the actual prices. A dozen wings is 17, not 12.50. Called in an the order was ready within 1/2 an hour. We got medium wings, golden bbq, mango habanero, fettuccini Alfredo, honey bbq wings, Parmesan garlic boneless and bone-in. The wings were all delicious and had plenty of sauce. Pretty expensive. Went here for the first time the other night after it was recommended by my coworker. All locations are a bit out of the way for me, but my husband and I decided to venture out just because my coworker made it sound so darn good! Well, we were not disappointed I'll tell you that much! When we first walked in I was a little surprised by how small the place was. But, staff was super friendly. We loved our waiter, Vinnie. He made sure we were happy and even stopped to genuinely chat with us in between checking in on our dining experience. We ordered the deep fried jalapeño ravioli to start, then ordered a 1/2 white pizza, 1/2 bbq bacon chicken pizza. The pizza was delicious. White pizza, although without sauce, was so light and tasty, and the bbq bacon chicken was loaded! Every bite had bacon, bbq, and the ranch that was drizzled on top was not skimped at all! Of course we couldn't stop at an appetizer and pizza. We just HAD to try dessert! We ordered the cannolis as well as an Oreo cheesecake, which we found out from our waiter is made from scratch and they have weekly rotating flavors for the cheesecakes. Both desserts were phenomenal. At the end of our dinner, my husband asked me which food item was my favorite, and I honestly couldn't pick! All of it was delicious!! We can't wait to come back and try more menu items, but I am especially excited to try more of their cheesecake flavors - absolutely delicious cheesecake!! Great pizza and other food items. A little pricey, but worth it if you want great NY Bronx style pizza. I got carry out but the inside looked nice with descent decor. The staff were really friendly and the service was speedy. We ordered the white pizza (pizza bianco) and a pepperoni, sausage and meatball (V's 3meat) pizza. The crust was spot on NY style. The sauce and toppings were all fresh and it tasted great. I ding them 1 star for being pretty expensive (over $50 for 2 pizzas). It's now my go to place, for NY style pie. read more

We were originally going to a different restaurant, but it was having plumbing issues....thank goodness!!!!! We would have never had the pleasure of dining at Brooklyn V's. Our waiter, Vinnie from Long Island was pure delight....not bad on the eyes either!! I had the Spaghetti with clam sauce and it was the best I ever had...perfectly seasoned with a kick. The side Ceaser salad was more than enough and the dressing was fabulous. We also split the fried Calamari, crunchy batter and cooked to perfection. I haven't been there in a few years and they were super busy last Friday when I picked up my online order. I did that on Yelp via Grubhub I think but it was me who ordered. I show him my order on my phone and he said he could not find it :/ A few minutes later he found it. I picked them up and left. The food was hot and delicious. But my Portobello ravioli was soupy.
