The food was delicious. Perfect flavor without meat! I usually reach for meat but this wrap had plantain, squash, mushroom, kale, and so much flavor. It came with the sauce on the side so you were able to dress it to your liking. The sauce was a chipotle mayo with a little bit of spice which was total perfection. When you can have something healthier while still enjoying it. Starting my day right!!!! The service was welcoming and inviting. I could stay for 5 minutes or a few hours like the woman behind me with her laptop. The space was inviting and cozy at the same time. I'm glad that I was able to sip, shop and experience Brooklyn Tea. Brooklyn tea is always holding events and tea tastings at their main location. Since I mostly drink loose leaf varieties, I was ecstatic when I came across their brand. Visitors to the shop can enjoy their premium assortment of herbal, green, rooibos, black and white teas. Coffee lovers, they've got something for you too. Brooklyn Tea also provides vegan brunch options. My favorites among those that I've tried are the hibiscus and well kanda teas. This past Sunday I checked out Brooklyn Tea on my way home from church with my sister. Their tea options are extensive! It took me awhile to decide on the tea I wanted. The two young ladies that worked there were extremely patient and informative. Customer service was top tier. I ordered the Vanilla Rooibose which was delicious and my sister got the Cream Earl gray latte and she loved it. We ordered blueberry waffles and chocolate chip waffles. Both vegan and both delicious. We also bought some loose tea to go. They sell the tea by the ounce here. The place is small but they have both indoor and outdoor seating. They also sell shop swag and a lot of their dishes are named after Brooklyn hip hop songs. This place is definitely worth a trip to Brooklyn. The owners were friendly and very knowledgeable about tea and were willing to answer any and all questions. I meet some really cool people and it felt so nostalgic being in a tea shop again. I was looking for tea house in Brooklyn and this come up on my list. Tea: 3.5/5 I got an oolong tea which I was hoping to get in a pot, but my partner told me that they no longer have that as an option. In its old location, they gave pots of tea, which I loved. Instead, I got a paper cup with a plastic lid to hold my oolong tea. Sadly, these cups tend to influence the taste of the tea. So, the oolong tea was diminished. It was okay. All in all, I really enjoyed its old location better and felt the tea was better then. However, it is nice to get tea that isn't a tea bag of tea dust. read more

On a cold day a few years ago, I walked into Brooklyn Tea and have been coming ever since. It was a nice cozy spot with a big green couch that begged you to sit on it. The vibe was so cool, like you are at home in your own living room. The owners Jamilah and Ali and the staff was so inviting and helpful. Wow--absolutely amazing tea! I first discovered their tea at the Akwaba Tea House in Philadelphia, and when I found out they source it from Brooklyn Tea, I had to check it out in person. This place has such a beautiful variety of tea blends, and they were even offering samples that morning. I tried the watermelon matcha--perfect for summer! It was light, not too sweet, and you could really taste the quality. The matcha is clearly ceremonial grade and so smooth. Khy was awesome and answered all my questions. I opted for the Black Rose small hot pot for $6 and the Biggie cookie for $2 . What an experience. Felt so regal. The hot pot comes with a timer for steeping and when you can discard the loose leaf. The menu offers a ton of hot and cold teas and coffee; vegan treats and wraps available. I've been going to Brooklyn Tea often to get their special blend of "She's Gotta Have It" and "Elderberry Berry". The service is an amazing. Any questions I have about any of the teas were answered in detail. I love how they tell you the benefits of each tea. This last time I went was the first time I had their vegan breakfast sandwich. My colleagues warned me to stay away from there because of bad service and poor quality of products. I went against it and gave it a try. Initially I thought this would be a neighborhood gem. Not so much. I gave this place several chances. (6 visits) Only one person made my latte exactly how I wanted it. Great taste and all. The other days it was almost as if my money wasn't green enough to spend there. Simple questions about products will cause them the snare at you. I asked when were the brownies made and It was as if I cursed at her. She shrugged her shoulder signaling she doesn't know. Why are you selling "fresh" products and don't know when it's made. That's how patrons get sick and stomach bugs. No thank you. Tried the biggie cookies, those were very dry and probably stale. My last visit seemed to annoy the server.
