We decided to have tea while we wait for our lunch reservation. The experience exceeded our expectations, as we were fully immersed in the community and received excellent suggestions about local historical sites. We had a few tea blends, the suggestions were on point, as well as the customer service

This past Sunday I checked out Brooklyn Tea on my way home from church with my sister. Their tea options are extensive! It took me awhile to decide on the tea I wanted. The two young ladies that worked there were extremely patient and informative. Customer service was top tier. I ordered the Vanilla Rooibose which was delicious and my sister got the Cream Earl gray latte and she loved it. We ordered blueberry waffles and chocolate chip waffles. Both vegan and both delicious. We also bought some loose tea to go. They sell the tea by the ounce here. The place is small but they have both indoor and outdoor seating. They also sell shop swag and a lot of their dishes are named after Brooklyn hip hop songs. This place is definitely worth a trip to Brooklyn. Can't wait to go back on my next visit to Brooklyn.

I had Brooklyn Tea on my to-do list ever since I came across them on Instagram, and I'm so glad I finally made the trip. What I expected to be a quick visit turned into a much longer stay -- that's how warm, welcoming, and special this place is. The space itself is cozy, but it feels so much bigger than just a tea shop. It's a place full of community, education, inspiration, and history. Everyone who walked in felt like they belonged, no matter where they came from -- the vibe is truly that inviting. The service stood out right away. Authentic, kind, and genuinely helpful. I had the chance to do some tea tastings, and the staff took their time sharing knowledge and making thoughtful recommendations. I left not only with a few teas and a bowl, but also with a deeper appreciation for the world of tea. My standards are officially raised! Also, learning that this is a first-gen, Black-owned business -- and that they're now opening in the airport in NYC -- just made me even more excited to support them. It's the kind of place that deserves all the love and attention it gets. I ordered matcha with agave and then later ordered a floral tea that I cannot recall. Brooklyn Tea, I'll absolutely be back soon -- and if you're even thinking about going, let this be your sign. Go.

Amazing Service! Amazing Vibes! Amazing Tea! I spent 2hrs here and it truly was worth every minute. The owners were friendly and very knowledgeable about tea and were willing to answer any and all questions. I meet some really cool people and it felt so nostalgic being in a tea shop again. The tea was so delicious, I had 2 cups while there- Apple Cider and Cucumber Melon- both 10/10. I also got to taste Chocolate Mint latte, which tasted like a cookie. Traveling from Manhattan to Brooklyn Tea was definitely worth the two train transfers and 10 min walk while the temp was dropping. The tea's were hugs in a cup and greatly appreciated. I brought plenty to hold me until I travel back to visit.

Such a cute little tea shop in the neighborhood. The staff are immediately very welcoming. Be prepared to be overwhelmed by all of the great tea options. The employees are pretty knowledgeable about what's what and offer great suggestions. They sell packaged loose leaf tea, branded swag, and gear. They also have baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, and vegan options. Unfortunately, gluten free was not an option. I love the vibe here. They have a few seating areas inside and outside. Great customer service. Don't sleep on this awesome little tea spot!

A smooth warm latte that was recommended. Coconut oolong latte. So warm and sweet. I'm definitely going to go back for this again.

Great place to have tea and to zen out. I usually get my tea to go but I had time. I got a nice latte. I like that was greeted warmly when I came in. I told the tea gentleman what I was looking for and he didn't disappoint. The space is quaint and cozy. Almost like being in one's living room. I also loved the fact that the music was audible but not overwhelming and very soothing. I will definitely be back when I am in BK to get my tea fix and BIGGIE cookies.

The staff is very friendly and Knowledgeable. They have an amazing selection of teas.

There is some counter space, but mainly for standing purposes. I ordered a standard Iced Matcha Latte with Oat Milk ($7.35) and my friend got her usual Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte ($8). Docking 1/2 point bc the matcha is pre-made. I'm a fan of the whisking process bc I do believe there's a craft to matcha overall. Surprisingly, my drink tasted fine and my bev was a good color, so I was pleasantly happy. We waited less than 10 min for a table to open up, but you have to be there at the right time, otherwise you prob just grab your drink + go. Overall, glad I tried Kijitora. It's not my first matcha choice, but it was decent for a standard matcha latte. Their specialty matcha drinks look to have mixed reviews, but I'm personally not a fan of sweet drinks.

The tote bags were so cute but they were kind of pricey in my opinion. A standard beige Kijitora bag was priced for $30 each! They had several designs for sale. I was just busy checking out the cool cat merchandise while I was waiting in the long line to purchase the matcha drinks. The line was exceptionally long! It was worth the hype though! When I was my turn, I got an iced strawberry matcha latte and an iced mango matcha latte. It was so pretty when I got them. The mango and strawberry paste were sitting at the bottom of the matcha latte. I had to stir and mix the fruits with the whole drink. Surprisingly it was not sweet at all and was just right! They made it in a way that wanted you to crave more of it. It was very addicting. I did not get onigiris this time but will be sure to get some next time I'm here. They were just $4 each for miso salmon, tuna mayo, mentaiko cod roe, sukiyaki beef, and chashu pork. What a decent price for one onigiri! I would definitely be sure to get the miso salmon next time I'm here. The place was very cute with nice little tables for individuals. The place was very cozy with lots of sunlight coming in. Very modern with plants all around. It was so loud with people talking over each other. There were too many people on a Sunday afternoon so I had to walk around or cut through people to get my way. It was that crowded. I also didn't expect this place to be on the second floor and the stairs to be that steep. It was hectic carrying my stroller upstairs. Luckily someone helped me get down! The stairs are very narrow so I had to hold onto the rail. It was not ergonomically friendly at all.

This is a really cute café that has gorgeous leather furniture, lighting fixtures, and cool plants everywhere, very modern looking. The music they play here is great too. I was a little disappointed to see that their food menu was quite limited, and by that time of day, there was really only one savory option that stood out to me, the Parmesan and leek pastry. I ordered this and had the barista heated up for me, as well as print out a receipt because this is how you access the Wi-Fi. I sat in the corner along the wall on a wooden bench and attempted to do work on one of the small metal tables. The tables are quite low, so this really isn't a great place to get a ton of work done in my opinion, as well as the fact that the Wi-Fi only works for 30 minutes and after that, you need to go back up and get another receipt for a code. I was also a little disappointed in the pastry itself, as it wasn't fully heated and was a little too greasy for me. I can't speak on the coffee here, but it did look like they provide high-quality options. Vibes and aesthetic are high but I can't say I'd come here again.

They carry beans from DAK Coffee Roasters, which is one of my favorite roasters from Amsterdam, along with Sey Coffee and other roasters known for their high-quality beans. I grabbed a bag of DAK beans, which came with a free single-origin drip. It was honestly great for drip -- clean, not watery, and nicely fruity and juicy. It was pretty busy, so I skipped the pour-over this time, but I'd definitely come back to try it on a calmer time of the week. " There's a reason there are consistent lines out the door for The Villager, the coffee is insanely spectacular. First, why name it The Villager? Well, most coffee places in Brooklyn, cater to the community where one welcomes loyal friends. We all know about loyalty, a favorite gem we patronize over and over again. As a lover of Eastern Parkway, I am always looking for new spots thus as I was near Brooklyn Botanic Garden, I decided to scope out a new vibe. The Villager instantly popped up on Classon Avenue. I spotted it quickly because there was already a small line out the door. The line moved quickly. I ordered the flat white and found a comfy leather seat at the counter.(something about counters folks!). I looked around and the place was buzzing: patrons talking, sipping and it looked like a community gathering which I LOVVVE especially on a lazy Sunday afternoon. The barista, David, found me and I looked at the little work of art that is a Flat White. I needed a FW, that double shot espresso to wake ME UP! One sip and I felt so much better than when I walked in. It was deliciously crafted and served in a pretty ceramic cup. I sipped and savored! As for the vibe, you can shut the buzz down a bit and listen to the cool music and scan the pretty room with beautiful plants. I was in my own oasis. There are sweets on the counter to accompany your beverage of choice. The seating offered is counter, small tables in and outside. The Villager sells international coffee from Rwanda, El Salvador, Honduras to name a few. Congrats to owners, Ben and Courtney for creating a wonderful community space in Brooklyn. Additionally, your staff are professional, courteous and exhibit great client service! The Villager can count me as one of their locals! You could add meat or avocado for an additional cost. There's a few seats inside, and plenty more outside. The back patio has plenty of tables for 2 people, and a few out front. The group tables are inside. I sat in the back, but noticed a bunch of mosquitos coming out from a crack in the wall, so I moved to the front. I'm one of those who attract mosquitos, so if you're like me, then sit inside or out front. The ambiance on a workday is pretty quiet. Many of the patrons have laptops and were taking work calls. There's a sign stating no laptops on weekends, which is nice. And the people who work there are friendly and efficient. My order came out quickly. I recommend this place if you're nearby and want a really good cup of coffee.
