Omg this place is fire lol! I was waiting for my laser appointment at Peach Fuzz Laser right down the street. I got the jerk chicken bowl and it was so juicy and flavorful. I also got a light pastry which was delicious. They've got juices which I purchased for later. The staff was so kind and even helped me with recommendations. I saw a few folks working at some tables. I learned of this spot from Instagram and when I was in the neighborhood (Bed Stuy) earlier today, I decided to stop by. Ambiance: The ambiance is clean, warm and open but felt cozy too. I like the wall designs. It felt like modern contemporary West African inspired print. I could have easily stayed there and read my book for a little while but I had to keep moving. Food: I ordered a chai latte with oat milk and the afro burrito (with avocado) to go. I love that the latte was served in biodegradable packaging. Both were tasty and fresh. The jollof rice in the burrito was so flavorful and savory! I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. I did have to wait for the burrito for about 15 mins so take note that the hot food items, you may not be able to grab n go quickly. Service: The service was decent and the staff were polite. I'd return to try some other items on the menu like the cassava fries which they sadly were out of. I'd recommend this cafe for tea or coffee and some delicious snacks or eats. Seems like a nice neighborhood spot to catch up with a friend or grab coffee/tea and a treat to go. read more

I'm so happy to see that Ginjan Cafe has finally opened! I popped by on a Saturday afternoon and it turns out they had closed already - but that didn't stop them from welcoming me inside from the cold and making me a warm beverage at no charge. So delighted to have them on the block and I look forward to returning. read more

Stopped in this morning for a quick cup of coffee. The decor was amazingly relaxed and yet aesthetically pleasing. There were a couple people there working from their computers. The staff barista/host was wonderfully sweet and accommodating. My mocha was great! read more

I just stopped in because i was meeting a friend in the area. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. I spoke with one of the owners - he and his brother moved here from Africa and started the business together 8 years ago. The food is excellent. I had a monkey bread muffin and the egg wrap.
