I was excited to try after watching a documentary on the Somm channel about that specific winemaker. The wine was delicious. Additionally, I was so happy to see small boutique wine from the Santa Barbara area like Amevive and A Tribute to Grace. Our server Yvonne guided our menu choices thoughtfully and enhanced our experience with excellent service. We started with watermelon feta salad with baby cilantro, walnuts, and harissa oil. The watermelon was cool, sweet, and crisp and the flavors balanced perfectly. If you are a pickle lover you must get the pickles. I think I will be dreaming of them. The pickled cabbage, okra, califlower and snap peas were just the best! The pitas were puffy, but not hollow, and warm. There was also an olive oil dipping sauce that complemented everything. Star of the show for me was the forgaged mushrooms and hummus. These were the most delicious mushrooms and snoothest hummus I have ever experienced, and I think there might be magicians in the kitchen. Our other dishes were cabbage and eggplant. Both taste explosions, done masterfully with a sauce, color and texture. This food is truly incredible, highly recommend. The Park Slope pizza is my newest addiction. Maybe someday I will try a slice of a difference pizza or a calzone but for now I can't seem to stray from the Park Slope. I did try the zeppoles once and they seemed undercooked. That is the only time I have ever had them anywhere so perhaps that is how they are supposed to be, or it was just an off day. But the pizza I am always happy with every time I visit. It would get 5 stars from me for the food alone. The food could be average though and I would still return because the service has always been so great. I'm so used to places trying to push customers out half an hour before close. Having worked in the restaurant industry I do understand how much there is to be done to close so I always try not to be "that customer". But the times that we have been running late and stayed beyond closing, we were still treated with respect and great service. Thank you so much! read more

Amazing food with a very creative menu. The owner is truly exceptional and will stop at nothing to make your Brooklyn Pizza experience world class. As far as the food goes I must say that the portions are plentiful and and the prices are definitely low for Denver Vad standards. I can't believe the Vad requires a mashgiach temidi for a dairy restaurant, it behooves me. When all is said and done you will be hard pressed to find a better kosher restaurant in Denver. That probe says more about the inner hypocrisy of the Denver vad, but that is neither here nor there. read more

I have to say, the pizza was good. Not being able to just call and place the order was a little frustrating, as I was in the car and needed to place the order on the fly. Paying $22 (tip not included) for a SMALL cheese pizza is a little steep. It was good, and I could tell the quality of ingredients was there. But for a small cheese pizza at that price point, I'd much rather go elsewhere for questionably far superior pizza at a far better price. So for that reason, we won't return. read more

Mia's Pizza & Pasta

3.5

(33 reviews)

Mia's Pizza and Pasta is actually one of the most goated restaurants of all time. The second you…read morewalk in, you already know the food is about to be bussin. If someone says Mia's is mid, they are actually tweaking and probably have negative aura. Mia's has pizza AND pasta, so they basically have an infinite food glitch. First of all, the pizza is absolutely goated. When they bring that pizza out and the cheese is still hot, you immediately gain +5000 aura. Then you grab a slice and the cheese starts stretching across the table like it has somewhere to be. If the cheese pull is long enough, everyone at the table has to lock in and watch. That is just the law. The pasta is also lowkey cracked. You can spin the noodles around your fork approximately 47 times until you have created the final boss of spaghetti. Then you try to eat the whole thing and realize you have made a horrible decision. Now you have sauce on your face and negative aura, but at least the pasta was bussin. Another reason Mia's is amazing is because pizza is basically impossible to be sad around. Imagine someone puts a giant pizza in front of you and you just stare at it angrily. Bro, what are you doing? Lock in. There is literally cheese and pepperoni sitting directly in front of you. Your problems can wait approximately 15 minutes. The crust is also underrated. Some people leave their crust on the plate, which is an absolutely diabolical decision. The crust is basically the pizza's handle. Without it, you would have to grab the cheese like some kind of creature. Eating the crust gives you at least +100 aura, especially if you dip it in sauce. Mia's also passes the vibe check because you can order pizza and pasta at the SAME restaurant. Usually you have to choose one, but Mia's basically said, "Nah, we got you." That is an insane power move. You can eat a slice of pizza, take a bite of pasta, and suddenly you are operating on maximum carbs and pure determination. Going to Mia's with your friends would also be peak because somebody is guaranteed to do something stupid. Someone will drop a noodle, somebody will steal a slice, and somebody will say they are full before eating three more pieces. Then the one person who ate way too much starts sitting there completely silent like their brain is updating. In conclusion, Mia's Pizza and Pasta is certified goated. The pizza is bussin, the pasta is cracked, the cheese gives unlimited aura, and the whole restaurant passes the vibe check. If Mia's has one million fans, I am one of them. If Mia's has one fan, that is me. And if Mia's has zero fans, I probably ate so much pizza that I am taking a nap.

I had high hopes because I'd been to the Pie Hole in Missoula, Montana, and had a great experience with both the pizza and the customer service. Unfortunately, this location was the complete opposite. The establishment looked dirty, homeless people inside and outside heckling me and the pizza sitting behind the counter looked stale and unappetizing, as if it had been sitting out for hours. I decided to give it a chance anyway, and regretted it. The staff also came across as unprofessional, and my pizza was awkwardly sandwiched between plates and wrapped in foil rather than placed in a proper box. Despite the disappointing experience, I still paid and left an approximately 33% tip (which could have paid for 5 ranches) because I believe in supporting service workers. Then I asked for a side of ranch after i paid, and the employee with the stache and long hair and dirty crop top wanted to charge me 65 cents despite the advertised price being 60 cents. After leaving such a generous tip, you'd think they could have shown a little goodwill and thrown in the ranch for free especially since they're close to closing. Instead, they chose to nickel and dime a customer who had already tipped them generously. It's not about five cents. It's about the attitude and the complete lack of hospitality. The Missoula location gave me a great impression of this business, but the Denver location has seriously changed my opinion.
