I love this place so much, for what many will probably think is a little weird, they have mini bagels (regular size ones as well)! A regular size bagel is just too much for me bit the small ones are perfect. They also have multiple delicious schmears, really lovely gravlax, a few assorted Salads: tuna, egg, chicken. . . to name a few. They carry specialty breads as well, some of which need to be ordered in advance. You can basically stop by on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, the only days of the week that they are open, pick up your feast, and go have a picnic or celebrate something special or sacred. The bacon egg and cheese sandwich was good on an egg. Everything the sausage egg and cheese was also good on a pumpernickel everything we love the matzo ball soup. The strawberry lemonade was a favorite it took a little bit of time for the food. The waiters are nice and it was worth the weight. It was also beautiful inside they had menus everywhere. This is where you want to go for real bagels if you're in Denver. No reason to go anywhere else. The bagels here are the real deal: large, soft, chewy, and pleasantly salty around the edges. Just like a traditional NY bagel. To be completely honest I have a hard time finding bagels like this in NYC nowadays. The homemade cream cheeses are also fantastic, the scallion and lox cream cheeses being my favorite. This place is only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 7am - 3pm, but the wait is worth it. Snatch a bunch up on the weekend and freeze them for the week. I've been to the Rosenberg's location in Stanley marketplace and this location is actually a lot better. The ones up in Stanley were really generic and bland when I tried it. This place is tucked in a corner. There is no seating, just walk in and take out kinda place. It was clean and spacious for a quick pick up. The service was great - Robert was open, honest and we shared a few laughs! The bagels are delicious! I got the sesame, pumpernickel, everything, and garlic bagel. The bagels are outstanding, probably the best I have found in Denver. It might have helped that a fresh batch of sesame bagels came out just when I arrived at about 11 AM on a Friday. I also thought the hatch chili cream cheese was really good. I didn't realize that they are closed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday until I looked on Yelp. This is kind of a downer. But if you can show up on a Friday Saturday or Sunday, I think you will find these bagels are some of the best you have had in Denver. read more

It took over the local bagel shop. As some might not of been happy, but I must say these bagels are truly impressive but a little pricey. This shop is different from the other Rosenbergs as they do not make sandwiches in their shop as this is a strictly kosher shop. They do have all the items to make lox and bagels with their housemade lox and cream cheeses. We ordered almost 2 dozen hamantashen and they were tiny! We always used to get them from Rosenberg's but we haven't been in for a couple of years. They used to have huge thick hamantaschen, about one inch thick with a nice filled center, and 4" across. The ones we picked up today were 1/2 inch and barely 3" across-- and individually wrapped in cellophane pockets. It was a huge disappointment and after telling friends how wonderful these were (not knowing they had been downsized to a small cookie from a large pastry), it's embarrassing. We ordered them on-line so we had no idea of the change. I would prefer to have gotten the original big thick Hamantashen and they skipped putting them in those individual wrappers! The wrappers made them look cheaper too- like they weren't fresh baked in the store. The location we chose was the bakery site, too. Please go back to the quality you used to have, spend the money on that instead of cheap wrappers and the labor and time to stuff them in!! I just want them in a box! read more

Challah... NOT up to standards for the holidays! They say they use...high gluten flour? Really? The challah we received was dry and lacked any taste, the composition was that of gluten free as the challah simply broke apart, rather than have that essential challah pull to it. Has quality really dropped the past couple of years? Totally disappointed. read more

Recovering New Yorker here to say that this place is as legit as it gets in Colorado. Their challah is the stuff of dreams and the babka is a delight, but I'll always think of their bagels first and foremost. Nice texture on the outside, great chew inside, never overcooked or doughy. As an everything bagel guy, I also appreciate the double coating on the exterior (instead of just on the top like you get pretty much everywhere else in Denver). My wife is eastern European and goes gaga for the dark breads, but do yourself a favor and don't leave without a container of their cream cheese. It will spoil you forever. I'm partial to the hatch green chili (with nice big pieces) but you can't go wrong with the veggie and regular fluffy stuff. read more

Great bagels that are a traditional texture and have that great chew that a bagel is supposed to have. We also enjoy their Challah. They have non dairy cream cheese available in addition to the dairy varieties. No sweet cream cheese flavors, but the selections they have compliment the bagel flavors well. read more

Once upon a time, there was a Bagel Store owner who was ready to retire, but she was conflicted. If she closed her store, it would create a big void in the kosher community she had served for the past 40+ years. She decided to join forces with Josh Pollack, the Bagel King of Denver, and, after the rabbis blessed the whole megillah, Rosenberg's Kosher was born. The concept is pretty much the same as before. The store offers several varieties of freshly made kosher bagels, challahs and rolls, cookies and other sweet treats. Rosenberg's has added in-house smoked salmon and white fish, fresh schmears, and deli salads. They don't sell sandwiches but you can buy all the fixin's for a lox and bagel and assemble it yourself. The fresh fish just melts in your mouth and the house-made whipped cream cheese is oh-so-light and smooth. I'm in love with these crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside bagels! I'm usually able to get them warm, the downside of which is that they can't be run through the slicer without getting destroyed but that's a small price to pay. Mr. P says we can't make them a habit because that's too much bread but I say that these glutenous calories are well worth it. Well, since I began this review draft, a major change has happened at Rosenberg's Kosher. From the beginning, it was always a bakery and wholesale shop with a retail storefront open daily from early morning to mid-afternoon. As of April 2018, retail service is offered on Fridays and Jewish holidays only. So there goes my neighborhood weekend bagel runs! read more

I was looking for the old Bagel Store and found it to be closed, then saw that Rosenberg's was going to re-open it as a fully kosher outpost of their 3 location (so far) business. I went in this morning around 9:30am, still recovering from a bug, so quickly got in and out (to avoid coughing while there) without much eye contact on my part. The people working were friendly and polite, offered to cut my bagels, rung me up, and got me on my way. So- I came home with an everything rye, an everything, and a garlic. I started with half the rye, cut through the middle of the hole so as to have the front and back of the bagel. After cutting, I was disappointed to see the crumb was pretty soft, like a supermarket rye. (I was hoping that being kosher might mean the bagels here would be a bit more on the chewier side than the one I had at the Stanley a few months ago. ) I grabbed the toaster and put it on bagel mode. Spread it with lox cream cheese from the store (nicely studded with bits of salmon, capers, and green onion, $7 for 1/2lb). All together - tasty. In succession, I then did the same thing with the white flour everything and the garlic. Crumb was a bit better in these but I still wish for something more substantial and chewy. I'll be back every so often to grab a few and some cream cheese. I did notice potential difference in cooking between the three bagels, especially the everything (which had some golden spots but some pale) versus the garlic (nicely golden). See pics. Ruined the Bagel Store. Two stars since the bagels are damn awesome. However, much higher prices and also cut the hours like crazy. Now they no longer will supply the local Temples with weekly Challahs like had been done for years. Disservice to the community. Update: appreciate the business' efforts to address the communities concerns, as they listened to the needs and worked with the synagogues. The bagels are sooooooo good! An egg everything is as good as anywhere in NY and so are the others. I love that there's a pumpernickel everything bagel option. They're kosher yet I wish they can cheat somehow and put the cream cheese on the bagel for me but I'll still do it in the car with their tin of whipped cc and their plastic knife. I can't wait to get home to eat it! Must eat excellent bagel and cream cheese now! -except for the 2nd bagel still in the bag. Rosenbergs took a staple in the Bagel which had baked Kosher bagels, breads and sweets for many years and made it their own. The space is fully updated with nice signage, good options and most importantly the smell of freshly baked bagels, Challahs and more. No you won't get any meat here but with two other locations it's great to see Rosenbergs fill a vital need for Denver residents (and visitors alike) who deserve the chewy and can't eat just one bagel or other Kosher item(s). I first came here in the summer when it was still the Bagel Store and found it closed for renovation in preparation for the merger of the Bagel Store with Rosenberg's. I walked away sadly bagel-less, but vowed to come back when it reopened. I finally made it back several months later. There was a line but it moved relatively quickly. The employees were very friendly. They have many different flavors of bagels as well as some other Jewish baked goods and containers of cream cheese to go (I think I even saw green chile cream cheese!). I settled on a garlic and a whole wheat. The bagels are huge - bigger than others in Denver for sure. They're chewy on the outside and soft on the inside, and overall very tasty. I did notice that the bagels and cream cheese seemed a little pricey overall. Maybe it's because of the New York water? read more

I had hoped for a bigger place and REALLY wanted to get some Smoked White Fish. Going there I was told that they did not have the white fish at this location nor did they have some of the other tasty items that I had hoped to find. This particular location was just very small and offered a limited variety of items that the other locations offered. I have been craving a great jewish deli and absolutely fell in love. I wanted a rare order and they messed it up but quickly fixed it and offered to comp the mean. I declined and they had already been so nice. I am disabled, have a service dog but am still not stable on my feet as well deal with chronic pain and exhaustion. They brought everything to me with out me even asking for help! The service is top notch but the food is even better. The bagels are cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and oh so fluffy on the inside. They are the best bagels I have tasted since Wolfies closed down in Miami, FL. And let's just talk about the classic black & white cookies OMG Devine!! I have already been twice in the past week and I see a lot more visits in the future. read more

I may be missing the old guard Bagel Store, but the reboot of this venerable Kosher bakery at Rosenberg's Kosher is a major win for me! Just wish I lived closer. We've stopped in when in the area, but recently discovered they actually slice their lox old-school, right off the filet! The slices were paper-thin, translucent, lovingly placed on purpose-built cellophane. And the taste is just like my days living in Kew Gardens, NY, when I'd get up early on Sunday & head to my go-to Rego Park bagel shop. Horrible hours and even worse communication and customer service. I ordered several dozen bagels for my son's first birthday party back in June from the Monaco location. I get a call and message saying they were transferring my order to different store for that Sunday pick up, since last minute they decided to close one of the two days they are actually opened. I go to pick up, and they have no knowledge of the transferred order. The morning of my son's birthday we have nothing. I was furious and they had charged us when we placed the order weeks prior over the phone. They never returned our money ,so yes, they stole our money. I called to speak with a manager and never had a return call back. Not in June and still to this day, haven't had one. No one acknowledged what they did to us for our son's birthday and it is now, February and still no acknowledgement. This should show you how they are run. read more

Prices have gone up and quality has gone down. Me and my wife used to shop here once week before employees have changed. We used to buy around $100 worth of bagels and Nova Lox. Now they bumped up prices on the fish and are serving them in large thick pieces that are pre-sliced and have the nasty black meat in the middle yuck! I am sorry guys but at $60/lb, you ought go back to meticulously slicing the fillets thinly as you go and please remove that nasty black section in the middle. No one wants to eat that!! Especially at that price! Tuna salad now has these strange seasoning in it that makes it taste nasty. I wouldn't buy anything but bagels here from now on. Maybe the Stanley Marketplace location is worth going to. But certainly not this location. read more

I love Rosenberg's. Coming from the NY/NJ area, the first few weeks out here were rough for all of my bagel cravings. A friend suggested Rosenberg's and I finally feel back at home. These are REAL bagels (not just round bread like many other places in the area). The staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful. Their everything bagels and their veggie cream cheese are some of the best I have had. Recently, I placed a bulk order for an event and everybody was asking where the bagels came from and exclaiming that they were the best they have had. Please note they don't do any sandwiches here. They can't mix dairy with bagels so like they can't toast your bagel and put cream cheese on it and you won't find breakfast sandwiches etc. just FYI Bagels are pretty decent - as close to Ny bagels that I've found so far. Place has opened for some time now and it lists different hours on both the door and Yelp: this place struggles to open on time. The time I am able to make it there and they are open on time, they mess up my order and give me the wrong bagels. This was on top of the 20 minutes it took them to prepare my lox Good bagels and the NY style is welcome in the area, but they're going through the fresh opening struggles. As a transplant from New Jersey, I was in a bagel desert until I found Rosenberg's. Their bagels are simply divine: the crust has a delicate crispness, the inside is wonderfully chewy and the taste sublime. While at first I struggled with the price of these bagels, in the end I had to confess that hands down they are soooooo good and so satisfying that they truly are worth every penny. Some of the most true and delicious bagels I've ever had. Legitimate bakers here, who take pride in quality!

While we love going down to the Five Points location (as close to an Ess A Bagel bagel as you might find in Denver), this one is meh. We were really excited to see that this location opened up. Before I went , I envisioned the same great Rosenberg's breakfasts without the hassle of the drive to, parking at, and long lines of the FP location. Bagels at this location are still good, but that is all you can order here. Maybe with a side of smoked fish and a tub of spread. And you have to get it to go (versus the Five Points that has seating and standing bars) as there is no where to eat. Unless you want to sit outside on a wall and stare at what looks to be a shuttered K-mart? Kind of confused as you'd expect the suburban outposts of Rosenberg's would be more inviting. Especially in what is obviously a lower rent location and in a strip mall with plenty of leasable space. Generally, wouldn't make a special trip to this location like I would to the FP location. read more

They used to have the best bagels in the whole wide world, but lately they are put together sloppy and I usually get the Leo but the salmon has been a little ducky lately and they have been skimping on the actual portion size it seems.
