This place was really good. I love going to local pizza places and Brooklyn Pizza did not disappoint. I had the meat lover calzone and my wife had lasagna. My wife is picky and she loved the lasagna. It had tons of sauce, meat, cheese and looked great. She wouldn't give me a bite..... The Calzone was fantastic. Sooooooo much cheese and lots of meet. It's also really big. I also had some wings. This is the only reason I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5. Wings were big, sauce was good but it was mostly wings.... Only two drummys. Not a huge deal. I highly recommend. Enjoy. read more

Being from New Jersey I have looked long and unsuccessfully for NY style pizza. Brooklyn Pizza fits my requirements perfectly. The pizza crust is true New York. The toppings and sauce are fresh. My daughter and I had the meat lovers. It was fantastic! They also offer sandwiches, calzones, salads and pasta dishes. During lunch hours they sell the pizza by the slice, another sign it is a true New York pizza joint. The owner, who is from Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, has brought a true New York pizza to the Gulf Coast. I ordered a 16 inch deep dish called The Brooklyn House. This was probably the heaviest pizza I ever picked up. This thing is massive and is way too much for a family of two. Haha....OK so the pizza was really good. The cheese tasted 100% real just as the box describes. The peppers and mushrooms tasted fresh and overall the marinara and sausage was delicious. I would definitely recommend this to my neighbors. That being said I only have one small gripe about this pizza. If you separate the dough into 2 sections, a bottom and a top section. The bottom section was cooked perfect but the upper section was a little under cooked. This gave the pizza sort of a doughy texture and taste to it. That being said this did not take away from my overall enjoyment of the Brooklyn style pie. The next time we eat there and we will be back, we will order a regular crust pizza or a thin crust. My daughter and I can't wait to go back! Interesting side note the manager/cook there is the brother in law of the owner/cook of Roma Pizza. I discovered this place after being told about it by a friend who at one time lived in New York for awhile. He said it was the most authentic New York Pizza in the bay area! I finally stopped in for lunch one day when I was in the area. Holy Smokes!!! The Pizza was fabulous!!! I got the house specialty pizza with everything on it. It was SO good that I saved a couple of pieces and brought it going for the wife to try when she got off work. When she tried it her eyes lit up and I was making the 15" minute trip from our house back to Bacliff!!!! I called it in before I left thinking it would take about 20 to 25" minutes to get it ready. When I walked in the door after the 15" drive they had my pizza ready to go!!! Their other pizzas are really good as well. Now we usually get a Pepperoni and Cheese to go with the special since the kids favor it more. We have been coming back ever since!!! So if your in the mood for a real New York style pizza, give Brooklyn Pizza a try. You'll be glad you did! read more

I was born in Brooklyn lived there until I was 30. But this pizza is nothing like NYC pizza. I ordered the Brooklyn special. It was dried, tasteless..not enough sauce, cheese wasn't good (usually there a certain elasticity with good nyc pizza). The crust was also dried and hard. I'm surprised at all these 5 stars rating. The closest in league city/Bacliff to nyc pizza is King pizza. But still not the same. Going back to NYC next week for pizza! read more

Some of the best Pizza around here, there, or ANYWHERE. I have been ordering from BP for the last four years and I've never once had a bad experience or a bad pie. Crust has a great flavor with just enough chew/crisp, sauce is well balanced and not overly sweet. Personal favorite is probably the white pizza with big chunks of ricotta. The staff was very friendly, but my first tasting experience was not great. The pizza was burnt, the makings of the crust conquered most of my slices. I received a stomach ache soon after. Great pizza place! Took my party of 9 there, and with little seating inside, we ventured outside. It was a nice evening so we didn't mind. Great loaded down buttery garlic bread, and decent salads. Pizza was very good too!! Not the best I've had, but good for anyone wanting something a tiny different. I opted for the thin pizza versus the Sicilian. Very average pizza - I have had better and I have had worse. One of my main issues was the lack of sauce. The sauce had decent flavor but just not enough to taste in every bite of pizza. The thin crust was a good thickness but was a little tough. This is the best homemade hand tossed pizza in the area and worth the drive . I recommend the pepperoni pizza also I recommend that you don't get more that two toppings as is New York tradition. The place is cite with booths only and tables outside picnic story it's not formal . The booths are surprisingly fairly comfortable but only seat four persons so if you have a larger group you must split tables the decor is New York photos . However the pizza is authentic New York style and the over is wood burning which I believe is the secret to the pizza. I've had this pizza as delivery or picked up to take home and I must say that it just tasted better right from the oven in the pizza place.
