I visited Ishtia recently with my sisters. With just 18 seats, the atmosphere was cozy, personal, and filled with stories. Over the course of 3 hours we embarked on a 20 course journey crafted and served by the chef himself a true artist and storyteller! Every dish was more than just food, it was a connection to culture, history and tradition. From the earthy flavors of ancient grains, to the vibrant burst of fresh forged herbs, each bite felt like stepping into a different chapter of an incredible narrative. The chef shared origins and meaning behind every dish, weaving together a meal that was as soulful as it was delicious.

    A beautiful three sisters surprise

The food was exquisite and the storytelling was a joy. You step into a timeless culinary experience where your senses are taken on a wonderful journey

Maybe the best food experience I've had in Houston, which is insane because we are a food city. But I told the chef that I'd only been to 2 Native restaurants prior - one in Seattle and one in DC. To find this in Houston and to have had the tasting experience we did will be a memory for a lifetime. The dishes were so unusual and homey yet experimental, and I had the best cornbread of my life served with homemade sunflower butter (I actually have to stop the review here I'm getting hungry). Coming back ASAP.

Amazing phenomenal. The staff was great, the chef was great, the vibe was excellent, and the food was truly an experience. I could not have imagined of a better experience.

Very good haute cuisine, but very expensive. A multi course meal that's takes at least 3+ hours, with the chef introducing each course

I'm extremely happy with Seabrook Classic Cafe and highly recommend supporting this restaurant!…read more My first experience here was actually during a pretty stressful situation. My vehicle broke down at the dock at Lakeside Yachting Center during a storm, and I couldn't find a tow company willing to come get me. I ended up being stuck at the dock overnight. The staff at Seabrook Classic Cafe were incredibly kind and let me come in to charge my phone while I figured things out. I was very hungry, so I ordered their egg sandwich, and it was fresh and delicious. Even though I live about an hour away, that experience made such a good impression that I came back later to try more of their menu. I'm happy to say everything else I tried was just as good. The stuffed jalapenos were excellent, very flavorful and stuffed with crab and cheese. I also ordered the chicken fried chicken, which was great, especially with their toast. The fruit bowl was fresh, and of course I had to get another egg sandwich, which was just as good as I remembered. They even brought us a complimentary slice of carrot cake, and it was fantastic. I'll definitely be coming back again to get more of that carrot cake, and next time I'd also love to try their prime rib. Our server was very friendly, and I really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. It has a cozy, retro diner feel that makes it a great place to sit down and relax. This restaurant has absolutely earned my business. Even though I live an hour away, I make multiple trips to the South, and I'll definitely be stopping here often!

The server was great and helped me get a "breakfast like" meal. I actually got a few things to go for others to try, because they had not arrive in town yet.
