There was like 10 people waiting in line , they got it down pat ! 5 people taking orders , 5 people making sandwiches and a guy cashing everyone out ! I got the pastrami on dark bread , with thousand island and Told them the works . Lettuce , tomato, onion. And a pound of pastrami an inch thick from end to end . Sure it's a little messy , but that's what you signed up for when you order it . Go big or go home ! It was amazing . I had 1/2 for lunch and 1/2 when I got home 3 hrs later . This place has quality ingredients and a nice atmosphere, but it is very meat heavy. It's usually easy to get something vegan at a sandwich shop, but they were a bit limited on toppings. The sandwich was still good - it just wasn't great. And it was VERY messy with oil. After making sandwiches for my friends, I did ask the staff member if she could change her gloves (because they were covered in liverwurst and Italian meats), and she did - but very begrudgingly. I would recommend friends to go, but I'm unlikely to eat here again. read more

I've been a ride or die Brooklyn Pickle fan for a very long time. In my opinion they make some of the best sandwiches around & are very consistent. I've tried maybe half of their menu & still have more things I'd love to try. I've had their Neptune soup before which I enjoyed. I also appreciate the variety of chips & salads they have available if you're in the mood for a side. I've had really good experiences with their staff. I appreciate that they always seem to be working as a team. (even during the lunch rush) I actually have never sat down to eat there but they have plenty of tables & even space outside weather permitting. One of my favorite things is that they have a little area where they have paper, crayons, markers, etc. so people can color or add their art to the wall. Haven't been in quite awhile but used to go regularly when I worked in Widewaters office park. This is a favorite of mine and never disappoints. Sandwiches are huge and reasonable priced. Before heading to the zoo, we needed to eat. We decided to order online since we had a 4 year old with us, and it would make it easier. My order was a "half" Reuben on gluten free bread toasted. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was blown away! The sandwich was crazy worthy! In fact, as im writing this almost a week later, I am wishing I lived closer! I'd eat the sandwiches again but I'll order online and just pickup. They're also doing renovations inside right near where the food is prepared. It doesn't feel very sanitary. read more

we went in to order today and the person who took our order seemed clueless on how to make a sandwich. all the toppings fell out of mine and I had to tell him they all fell out. he was planning on wrapping mine up.in addition he wiped the knife he was using with some wet rag and just started cutting my sub roll. I was in Syracuse for a week and I made it a point to grab two full sandwiches for lunch while I was there. I grew up on these sandwiches and I absolutely loved getting them. Service there is pretty pointed. The staff doesn't have the kindest inflection in their voice and they honestly look bothered to serve you - but WHO CARES when your food is that good. I honestly enjoy the crabby attitudes. For the first sandwich I ordered the Brooklyn Pickle Specialty. Its incredible. Second sandwich I got was a Cajun Turkey with bacon. Both sandwiches lasted me two lunches. Even only having half a sandwich per meal, I was completely full for four lunches! Only ding on them is the cajun turkey order was made completely wrong. I drove in to pick up my online order, drove home - and opened it up to have lack luster sandwiches with completely wrong ingredients. We drove back over and they were willing to remake the sandwiches and comp everything including the drinks, chips, and dessert. We didn't take them up on the offer but it was very nice to receive. Fantastic deli! I can see why Brooklyn Pickle locations are growing after a first trip there. I placed a pick up order online which couldn't have been easier. Everything was ready to go when I arrived. The fresh pickles wrapped on the top of the sandwiches were a nice touch. The bread was fantastic- next time I'll ask for a little lighter in the dressing so it doesn't get soggy. The quality/flavor of the meat was phenomenal on my Brooklyn Pickle special. First I got a half which is a lie it's what you'd think a full sandwich is it was really good. A good blend of everything and the bread was soft. Have you every order rye bread and think that the baker thought rye equals dry??? I usually go to the Brooklyn pickle west, but I was over in that direction so I stopped at the one on Burnet Avenue. Super disappointed at the quality of food I received after paying almost $30 for two sandwiches. The one worker making the sandwiches failed to put the correct type of tomato, wrong bread, and the wrong meat that I asked for. One of the sandwiches was wrapped OK, but the other as you can see in the picture, looks absolutely terrible. The bag was in a horizontal position with the sandwich exposed and now there are pieces of the sandwich on the floor of my car. The other workers were just standing around and watching, not helping. Roast Beef sandwich and Special sandwich were delicious and very large. The pickles were really good. The Neptune stew and the Chef Salad with Seafood were also large, but disappointing. The stew is like a Manhattan Clam Chowder with some added vegetables, but very little seafood. The Chef Salad was a large portion of iceberg lettuce but little else; and the seafood on it was ground up something that I couldn't discern.
