A frequent stop; DeWitt Bagel Co.! Even on a busy Sunday, the service is friendly and fast. They make a delicious variety of breakfast sandwiches. It's a perfectly cooked sandwich that isn't sloppy - look at that cheese pull! There's enough seating for a quick stop, but not a crowd. Can't wait to go back.

Besides the outstanding and unique bagel and food creations, you immediately feel like you're walking into your own family room where you feel so appreciated and cared for. You have to try the energy multigrain bagels. I literally drove miles to savor. And I'm going again tomorrow!

Walked in at 11:30 on a Thursday, you could already see loads of to go orders ready to go, only a couple people in the shop. The staff was a bit overwhelmed you could tell, but they were still extremely friendly. The inside was nice a quiet with a few tables to sit at. Parking was right outside the doors in a parking lot, so it was easy to get in and out of. I ordered a bagel breakfast sandwich called Al' Wich, it was delicious. I was worried coming at 11:30, the bagels might already be getting hard, it was the total opposite! The bagel was toasted on the outside but still so soft in the inside. Do not be afraid of coming here later in the day and getting hard bagels! I ordered cold brew coffee and was given the choice of a sip top lid or straw lid, loved that I could choose. Coffee was great and the sandwich delicious. I even grabbed a couple bagels to go.

I went this morning for the first time with some friends and it is safe to say i will 100% be going back!! It is super cute inside with a large selection of bagels, toppings and spreads, but i ordered a bacon, egg & cheese on an everything bagel! I also got a coffee and tub of honey walnut cream cheese on the side and it was delicious! Very friendly staff and I loved how much selection they had. Their bagels were delicious and I will definitely be coming back!

Was running errands in east Syracuse when I decided to get breakfast. Found this place and figured I would give it a shot. Place is small but there are some tables and chairs. The people working were very nice and efficient. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on an onion bagel and then I got 2 onion, 2 garlic, and 2 plain bagels to go with veggie cream cheese. I really appreciated that the girl taking my order asked if it was okay for all the bagels to go in the same bag as some bagels can simple not go in the same bag. Starting with the sandwich. It was good but the bacon was pretty fatty and not crispy which I know is a preference thing but I had to take it off. As far as the bagels they have been good so far but the veggie cream cheese takes like mayo. I love veggie cream cheese and have had it a lot of places but this one was just not good. Will def go back and give some other cream cheeses a try.

This is one of my favorite bagel places in cuse. The staff is so friendly- I even witnessed them learning sign language from a deaf customer today. They have a huge variety of yummy bagels you can try (I attached a picture for your future planning:)). My go-to is a sausage egg and cheese on a garlic bagel and it has never disappointed! They offer local sausage for $1 extra along with a variety of beverages to satisfy whatever breakfast cravings you have. This place is truly a local gem. I will always support them and so should you!!

LOVE DeWitt Bagel Co! I am not a huge fan of bagel sandwiches, so was very excited to find a bagel spot with lots of sweeter options. Definitely recommend ordering ahead to pick up to avoid big lines, but eating right away while fresh! My favorite is a cinnamon raisin bagel toasted with honey walnut cream cheese (massive walnut chunks in it!) Amazing bagel spot worth stopping at when in Syracuse!

The Critz (sausage, egg, cheddar, and maple syrup) on an everything bagel.

My husband and I are big bagel lovers! They get their bagels imported from NYC and this bagel was AMAZING! I got The Critz on an everything bagel. Had eggs, sausage, cheddar cheese, and maple syrup. The service was great and they were very quick and decently priced. They also serve Recess coffee. The only reason I gave this a 4 star is the seating. It's very small inside and doesn't have that much seating. I'm also not a fan of the location, very limited parking. But the food and service are amazing!

Cream cheese was very good. Bagels were small. Iced tea was good but I did not realize it was not sweetened.

Al' wich 10/10 - the perfect amount of savory without being too overpowering, and the bagel is so good!

The place was bustling, all seats taken, people standing waiting on their order, and others dashing in for their carry out orders. There's good reason for that, the food, the coffee, the service, the vibe was all excellent. Inside is clean, simply decorated, and everything from the food to the kitchen is visible. It's simply part of the decor. We purchased some bagels from the previous day, some breakfast sandwiches and coffee. The coffee was bold, rich and fresh. The bagels delicious, all of the sandwich parts cooked to perfection. There's a friendly, warm vibe inside that extends from the staff and is entrenched in the food and coffee. Just a fantastic place for bagels and, I have to admit, NY bagels are next level. If you're in Syracuse, I highly recommend you make sure you make Water Street Bagel one of your stops.

The staff always seem to be hard at work as they are clearly in high demand. We were lucky this visit because all of the bagels were super fresh as it was peak busy hours. We also were lucky because we actually found parking quite quickly & didn't have to circle the block. I appreciate they offer sandwich options but I usually stick with a bagel & some form of cream cheese for myself because that's just usually my preference. This visit I got a rosemary salt bagel with salmon cream cheese. It was simple & perfectly what I was looking for that day. It's a beautiful space that is well lit & well decorated. It's easy to find them with their sign out front. It can get a bit crowded inside if they're busy but that's nothing to complain about it's just the reality of the space they are working with. Last note- it does always smell really amazing when you walk in there.

Overall, I enjoyed my visit. The vibe was relaxed and low-key, making it a good place to sit down and get some work done. I spent some time working while I was there and appreciated having a space where I could focus without feeling rushed. The staff was pleasant, and one of the employees was kind enough to take a picture for me when I asked, which I appreciated. The only thing that stood out to me was that there wasn't much of a greeting or acknowledgment when I walked in, but it wasn't a huge issue. The seating was okay. The chair I chose wasn't the most comfortable for an extended stay, but it got the job done. There was also some rock music playing during my visit, which helped create a casual atmosphere. I didn't order any coffee or food this time around, so I can't speak to the menu yet. This visit was more about finding a place to work and unwind for a bit. Would I come back? Yes. While I'm still searching for my go-to coffee lounge in Syracuse, Recess is definitely a spot I'd visit again. It has a chill, unpretentious vibe that makes it easy to settle in and spend some time there. I forgot to take more pictures will do when I go back.

This little bakery is very cute and offers a selection of different breads as well as sweets. The service is excellent and welcoming. These people know how to do bread WELL. I have tried their italian bread, focaccia, and their braided sesame bread-- which are all phenomenal! They have some sandwiches on their menu as well as some coffee available. On this occasion we ordered: - Braided sesame bread: this is my absolute favorite bread here. The presentation is beautiful, and the bread reminds me of a more savory challah with some salted olive oil hints that remind me of focaccia. The softness of the bread and the density make it so satisfying. It is perfect with both sweet and savory pairings. Super addictive--a loaf usually does not last longer than a day in our household. - Turkey sandwiches: we got a whole sandwich split into two halves. Size is pretty generous and one half is definitely enough for one person. This sandwich, although simple, stands out for its high quality ingredients. It came with generous sliced turkey that was not too salty, delicious gouda cheese, high quality mayo, fresh tomatoes and lettuce. The white bread is made in-house and feels super fresh and fluffy. They were super nice and gave us two bags of chips to compliment our dinner even though we technically ordered only one sandwich. We got it split into two separate containers and my fiancé and I each got our own pickle! Perfect option to get to-go. - Peanut butter cookie: I initially wanted to try the chocolate chip but they sadly ran out. However this was actually an amazing cookie. The thickness was perfect, not too thick and not too thin. It had nice bits of peanut butter and the cookie itself was super buttery, soft but with a nice caramelized crust, and not too sweet. There was a surprise Reeses PB cup in there which was very pleasant. Very good cookie! Cannot wait to come back and try their chocolate chip one. Overall, this bakery is a 10/10 and a very great asset to the area. Even though their selection is limited, I think they really focus on doing the few things they do VERY well. I love how local and homey this business feels. Their baked goods are all amazing and I will continue supporting them whenever I am in Manlius. Highly recommend Salt City Bread! You will not regret it.
