This established has the best views over the water. So stunning! We went on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy and the service reflected that. We ordered the calamari for the app and it was honestly the best dish of the night. It was seasoned well and fried with precious. Flavor in every bite. Definitely a fave on the menu. I ordered the crab cakes for my entree and they were alright. I wasn't pleased with the size or taste. I think they came close the a great flavor, but didn't quite hit the mark. The salad was just eh. The guava spritz was a tasty drink. I thought it would be a little sweeter because of the guava, but it wasn't.

Great spot for a summer hang with a group of friends! We came here for a friend's birthday, and he ordered a couple different platters for us. We got to try the crab roll, lobster roll, lobster grilled cheese, and popcorn shrimp. My favorite was surprisingly the shrimp! I love that they seasoned the batter - they were so easy to eat. We also tried the smashburger and the ahi tuna nachos. It says that the nachos are a starter, but the portion was so big! The wonton chips were a nice touch. They have cornhole in the front and some arcade games inside. This is definitely a family-friendly place. Only con is that it's so hard to get to, so I don't think I would come here that often. But the food was actually really good!

Perfect lunch for a sunny summer day! We opted to share some bites and ended up with deviled eggs, popcorn shrimp, and of course a snow crab roll! We liked the seasoning in the batter for the shrimp and the snow crab roll had a good amount of meat on it for the price. Food came out quickly which we also appreciated. It wasn't super busy when we came, but I can imagine it gets packed. Pro tip: sprinkle some old bay seasoning on the chips.

Updated review. Bartenders were extremely rude. Took over 20 minutes to get a drink cause they were flirting with girls. Garlic shrimp was a hit and so we're the deviled eggs. Tried the roll again and it was still a bit dry on the bottom and the mayo on the top really needs to be spread out on the bread. Once we were in the restaurant, service was nice! Seating was cool with the open air!

Visited afterwork and enjoyed the food and the service. The waitress was friendly and welcoming, and suggested the US Open drink. I can't remember the name now. The food was prepared good, but a little skimpy on the seasoning. Ambiance was like you are eating on the docks, which was a nice touch.

We rode our bikes to Red Hook and stopped in at Noon on a Saturday in late September. Typically, in the summer, the place is packed but now that the season is over, it was quiet. Service was great! Lots of staff. We ordered a lobster and fish and chips. Messy! But good lobster. Fish order was small and the French fries they came with were average. There are three floors of seating and back area. We sat at the second floor patio. Next time, we would sit on the top floor or the 2nd floor bar. Amazing view of the water!

We love coming to this spot! Generous crab roll for the price, the chowder is delish too. Service is friendly and quick as always. We like grabbing dinner here after work because the food is great and sitting right near the water is so relaxing.

Located near the water, Brooklyn Crab feels like the very definition of nautical summer vibes. It's a beach-themed, multi-story indoor and outdoor restaurant that makes you feel like you are no longer in NYC! I think it's a great space to relax outside on a warm summer day. You can play games like corn hole/mini-golf as well--truly boardwalk vibes! Snow Crab Roll (7.9/10): Definitely recommend their Crab Rolls! I loved the old bay mayo. There was a good amount of snow crab as well. Great butter-y and toasted potato bun. All the rolls are chilled and are served with chips (to which my friend and I doused in vinegar and Old Bay seasoning mix!) Classic Lobster Roll (7.3/10): Not bad but not as good as the Crab Rolls. Firstly, there wasn't all too much lobster meat (compared to the amount of bun). I also felt like the roll lacked flavor since the lobster meat was just served with a side of warm butter. I ended up dumping a bunch of Old Bay on mine for more seasoning. This is a great spot to escape the concrete jungle that is NYC. The food was nothing to write home about but I would definitely come back for the lively atmosphere!

Lobster roll was very good. Fresh, meaty. Popcorn shrimp was nicely fried as well. Good service, lots of water refills. Food came out quick and hot. Upstairs indoor was closed. But cool outdoor bar vibes with outdoor seating. Nice views + nice and breezy.

I kept seeing the front of Brooklyn Crab whenever I shopped at Food Bazaar and thought "that place looks fun" and finally decided to go on a Sunday afternoon. Sunday Happy hour (and any time they have Happy Hour) is so worth it. Don't let the ahi tuna nachos deceive you - that's a whole frickin meal. I also got fish and chips (no photo because I attacked it before remembering to take one) and that was so much food. We sat at the bar and our bartender was the sweetest human. I got an old fashioned which was so perfect. And the space is huge! There's mini golf! There's foosball! There's multiple floors and the decor is so fun. I can't wait to come back!

Come here for the atmosphere above all else - the location deep in Red Hook makes you feel like you're not even in NYC, and the ocean views are amazing, especially at sunset. Just don't expect to have your mind blown by the food itself. Very mediocre, it was like eating at an Applebee's for seafood restaurants. And they definitely charge NYC prices, even all the way out in Red Hook. All in all a nice way to spend a pleasant summer evening, but this is not a seafood restaurant I'd seek out for the seafood itself.

Though not huge, their menu is plant based with an assortment of brunch/lunch items like bowls, salads and interesting sushi, as well as smoothies and other drinks. If you're open to vegan food and uncommon items in a western diet, you'll enjoy it. The pad thai slaw and sushirito were delicious and well made and everything on the menu was inviting. The teas were lovely and I really enjoyed being able to select a blend of herbs for my tea mug. There was some herbal water available, and a selection of desserts on the counter and in the fridge - chocolatey delights like "snickers" bars. We found a corner next to the stage with two armchairs and a coffee table which was the coziest corner to sit and chat. Though it was Friday afternoon at lunch time and there were several other small groups, it never felt crowded and we were able to stay for a few hours enjoying our tea and meal. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, and non-intrusive. You order at the counter and then sit down, and we were not disturbed at all besides our meal being brought to us when it was ready. I'm happy to say that Selune did not disappoint! Even though it was their first day of service to the public, things seemed to flow pretty smoothly. The space is cozy but without feeling cramped. We switched from sitting at a table to bar seats in order to take advantage of the $1 happy hour oyster and drink specials. The HH oyster was the Big Rock, which was briny, medium sized, and delicious. Naturally I started with a dozen (there's a half dozen minimum) and later ordered a half dozen more. I wanted to try other varieties, but we focused on charcuterie instead. I can't continue without praising the lemongrass sauce served with the oysters. It was very unique and combined with a dash of ponzu made for a nice topping. From their charcuterie selection we shared the bresaola, the smoked duck breast, the gruyere, and the Camembert. Love love love! Accompanied by sliced baguette, these were perfect to split between two people. I really enjoyed the smoked duck breast and it paired well with both cheeses. My friend is a big fan of bresaola and was very pleased with what she ordered. On another trip, which is certain to happen very soon, I'd prioritize ordering the scallop carpaccio and the truffle croque monsieur. The chef put a lot of care into the preparation of the scallop dish and I'm very curious to sample the end product myself. For drinks, I started with the Black Spectrum, their espresso martini. It was light and refreshing, served very cold. I also ordered the BedStuy Spritz and the Ruby Red mocktail...but with gin. I know that defeats the purpose of a mocktail, but it was a top tier decision and I highly recommend doing the same. Our server, Erica, was so very friendly and helpful as we asked questions about the menu. She was very knowledgeable considering how new the restaurant is, and very attentive. I'm looking forward to bringing friends and family to BedStuy's latest and hopefully becoming a regular face at Selune.

The oyster sauces are what I believe to be a typical red wine vinegar based, oyster sauce (?) it had more of an umami flavor and was my fav and then lemon juice which I didn't like so much. The carpaccio was a bit of a let down. The scallops were cut a bit thick, it was oily and the orange peel on top was very strong and left a sour after taste. I felt it could've used a bit of sea salt to counter balance the oil and acidity. Overall I would def return though for happy hour! It's tough to find $1 oysters.

And that's really one of the best things about this location of Le Botaniste (there around 7 locations in the city) - being right across from Bryant Park, you can enjoy a healthy lunch while enjoying the park! So what is Le Botaniste? It's an organic, plant-based, and carbon-neutral cafe with locations in NYC and a couple in Europe. So everything is vegan. Everything is organic. The calories and other dietary information are listed on the menu. I had their Chef Priyanka Samosa Bowl (a seasonal offering), which includes brown rice, saag, samosa balls, crispy chickpeas, turmeric onions, tamarind and green chutneys, and yogurt raita. It is 433 calories and 12 grams of protein. I thought it was good - although I thought the samosa balls were quite dry (the chutneys, saag, and raita helped), and I liked that it was light and healthy and wouldn't slow me down for the rest of my busy day. I also grabbed a water and a quinoa peanut butter cookie that I saved in my bag for later. (I noticed that they had some wines that I would have been happy to try - if you eat in, you can have a full experience with a drink.) I showed up right at 11 when they opened, and there was only one other customer. My bowl was ready in seconds and I was out the door and across the street seated in Bryant Park within a minute or two. If you're looking for a healthy vegan lunch in the neighborhood, Le Botaniste is a good option!

I came on a Wednesday for the $17.99 lobster roll special and it was easily one of the best I've ever had. It is a quarter pound of lobster and you get actual lumps of claw and meat rather than the shredded stuff some other places serve. The butter it's sautéed in is seasoned delicately to accentuate the fresh lobster instead of covering up the taste. The portion was surprisingly large and it comes on a fresh bun that is lightly buttered and toasted. It even comes with a little cup of extra butter which I totally slathered on because I love butter! Every bite was so fresh and soft. These oysters were fresh but a bit on the smaller side. I do wish more thought and finesse went in to the oysters like a nicer sauce selection. They should definitely take notes from the oysters happy hour at Siren. Perhaps it was my enthusiasm slurping them away that made the kind lady shucking them ask me if I would like a dozen more? Hell yeah is the only appropriate response to such thoughtful questions. I washed down the oysters with a crisp glass of Allagash and in that moment decided why not order an entree too?
