Great price and lovely women working there. I've come three or four times since I've moved to the area. The last time I went, it was a minute after their closing time and I didn't realize it. I saw the sign and the clock and when I asked the woman if it was OK if she did my eyebrows, she was more than welcoming. She already had on her coat! She was precise, but swift. I will always thread even if it hurts a bit. Waxing is so terrible for your skin. I don't like the feel of the wax and pulling at your skin like that is terrible for my aging beauty :) Great spot. A tiny bit more expensive than my old spot in Jackson Heights, but that being a very South Asian area, there was much more competition. read more

I am so glad that I found this place! I have being going to a treading salon back home but since I moved here, I really needed to find a new salon. I did my research based on the reviews on Yelp. I decided to try it out. Not to mention, the prices here are amazing...7 dollars. YES! There was no line, and I did not have to wait. This place is a bit small and there is usually one or two people working so if you come at a bad time and have to wait,I'm sorry. Thankfully I showed up before all the people that go to get their brows done during the busy hours. They are very clean,gentle on the eyebrows,and listen to what you want done. I really wanted to like this place; it's across from Trader Joe's, near laundromats (so you can get your brows cleaned up while your clothes are cleaning), quick, clean, pain-free, and just $6. Alas, I didn't notice until I got home that one brow was slightly thicker and a different shape than the other (isn't that what threading is supposed to fix?). Apparently some of the hairs weren't pulled out but just broken b/c a LOT of them are growing back just a few days after I went. meh read more

Got my wash and blow dry by Candy today for a great price! I first noticed the salon after a trip to Trader Joe's and stopped in to ask about the sign in the window advertising the very affordable price. The price was confirmed and Candy handed me her card. Cut to today, I was in the area and really needed to wash my hair, so I walked in and the store was completely empty. I told the owner that I wanted the wash/dry and she said she would need to call Candy but that she lived nearby and would be there shortly. (It's standard to call her and schedule an appointment beforehand to avoid waiting). Sure enough, Candy waked through the door about 10 - 15 minutes later. She accommodated my request for a shampoo that was good for hair that has keratin (without charging me extra), detangled my hair with lots of conditioner so that a lot of hair didn't come out, and then diligently went to town on straightening every inch of my mane. While waiting I had a chance to look over the price list and the threading/waxing seemed very affordable. Over the course of my stay lots of people (men and women) were in and out to get their brows/face threaded so this seems to be their most popular service. The only bad thing about the shop: There is no free wifi. That being said, I was out of the salon in about 1.5 hours, and in the future I'll call in advance to schedule an appointment so I won't have to bide the time on the internet. If the owners are reading this I would also suggest playing some soft/spa type music to break up the silence in the store. read more

Best eyebrow threading in the NY/NJ area. No one does my eyebrows like Sara! I will drive from NJ to get my brows cleaned up. I hate taking a chance on bad brows, so I will go to them as long as they are open. They "make" my face light up! I ALWAYS get compliments. I've been going here for a short tome and the taller lady is decent. Today I had another lady and she messed up my eyebrows. I specifically said just clean them and please don't thin them out. She did one eyebrow and of course thinned it out. The other lady helped and it was better but now my eyebrows are uneven and look absolutely awful. My sister desperately needed to get her eyebrows threaded and we stopped by this place right after dinner. We walked in about ten minutes before their closing time, and politely asked if they were able to do one last threading (there was still one other customer there). I understand it can be really annoying to have customers come in right before closing, but the two women working agreed and my sister sat down in one of the chairs. It was obvious that she was in a hurry to leave and it definitely showed. All she did was partly clean up the bottom area, but didn't take the time to get everything or shape the eyebrows at all. Came here twice so far and I have to say I LOVE their price. You can't beat a $7 eye brown threading. Unfortunately, the second time I was there, they didn't do such a great job but for $7 I would probably still come back just check carefully in the mirror to make sure they got all the hair. They also gave me some awesome false lashes (only $30) which looked really great and pretty natural. I've come here a few times just because it is close to where I live. Usually when I get my eyebrows threaded my face feels clean and fresh. However, the handful of times I've gotten my brows done here, I have never felt like that. And on my walk home, I am usually thinking - my face does not feel great. Today was no exception to that feeling. In fact, today I walked home thinking - my eyebrows feel really crooked. I just wanted my eyebrows cleaned up, not reshaped. I looked in the mirror, and they looked crooked. I wanted the girl to clean up the top, and she cleaned up the bottom. I looked at my face again, the arches were uneven. I had her "fix" it. Looked in the mirror, and I just kind of gave up, because my eyebrows were getting thinner each time I had her fix something. My eyebrows are a completely different shape and a whole lot thinner then how I came in. I thought I would give this place the benefit of the doubt, even though I never came out feeling great. This little threading salon is exactly what I was looking for! I had always gotten my brows done in my old neighborhood in Manhattan, and was looking for a place closer to home. This appears to be the only dedicated threading salon in the area and it just opened three days ago. For $6, I got great service from the owner. She was open to listening to just how I wanted my brows and she did a great job making them look perfect. They also offer a wide variety of other threading, waxing, facial services for both men and women (though I didn't try anything else)---and they have fantastic location right across from the Trader Joe's. The woman I usually get was busy so I went with the second lady, I've only ever gotten my brows here and it's been great. Sadly can't say the same about waxing, needed a wax pre vacation and figured she's been solid with brows, waxing should be chill. NO. She burned my area sooo much it stared to bleed, I wish I could post photos without being vulgar. She kept going over the same area 5+ times to the point where I had to ask her to stop and look. I was bleeding a lot and she wasn't even done. When she moved on the repeated the same thing to the other side This time I stopped her and asked her to powder her gloves as they where causing more irritation! The worst part was when she was prepping to thread my lips! So crazy after being burned and bleeding she thought it would be ok to Thread my area! Wtf Never again. I used to get my eyebrows done here when I worked in the area. They're pretty good and their prices are reasonable. I always told the beautician how I wanted my eyebrows done and for the most part they followed through but there were a few times when they didn't. However, I still went to them until I left the area because their prices are good and their service is quick. Overall, no complaints. read more

I've been coming here for a couple years now for eyebrow threading. I have a particular person I prefer (yes Saira) but all the women are good. In my experience, they've worked with my natural brow shape and listened to what I wanted. I don't think threading hurts (for my eyebrows, never had it elsewhere) and at Brooklyn Brows, I don't get any ingrown hairs or bumps as I sometimes do at other salons. Pricing is very reasonable considering its location ($7 for eyebrow threading). I find that their isint a ton of consistency with how the women do your eyebrows so unless you go to the same women each time you need to specify exactly what you want not just " clean them up" but " I don't want them to thin". However, if you seem to have fairly shaped eyebrows to begin with, their isint much confusion. The women are very kind and meticulous, all around professional. As for a few of the comments that have mentioned burns, please know your skin before getting waxed or threaded, some skin types are just very easily irritated , it's not necessary that they did something wrong. read more

I usually go to eyebrow threading zone and they do a great job, but I was shopping at trader joes and decided to come in. It seems like I'm constantly searching for a "go-to" threading salon near the Fort Greene area...thought I'd give Brooklyn Brows a try. It's a tiny, somewhat clean salon that offers competitive (read: cheap) prices. However, the experience was horrible. I asked for brows, sides of face and chin to be done...the woman ended up threading my entire face (which I did not feel was necessary, otherwise I would have asked for it). Not only did she (painfully) thread areas I hadn't requested, she went over my face multiple times, which usually causes breakouts and increased redness/irritation. Professional threaders who know what they're doing are able to remove hair efficiently, not requiring 10 minutes (!) to do brows, sides and chin. (On a side note, I do not have excessive hair on my face.) There must be better places in Brooklyn than Brooklyn Brows...I'm still looking... read more

I'm so happy Brooklyn Brows is in my area. I get my brows threaded here once a month and they are always perfect if I tell them "not too thin." I didn't in the beginning and my brows were super skinny, very pretty, but too thin. I also get my underarms waxed here if I'm in a rush, it's pretty cheap but I'm not a fan of their cream wax. They do get pretty crowded but they work fast and have great hours so it's very convenient, especially if you live or work in the neighborhood. read more

This is by far the worst place I have been in my life. I come in and I ask for my eyebrows to be done. First I use the bathroom, it took me a little longer than expected. Maybe max 5 minutes, instead of usual 2 minutes. I come out the girls are right in front of the door asking me what I was doing there! Odd question! I was just using the bathroom. Well then I sat for my eyebrows, and she starts threading. After few seconds I ask her to make sure not to make my eyebrows too thin and I show her with my hand. She pushed my hand and screams at me and tell me not to move. And tells me not to talk. I stop her right away and say look these are my eyebrows, I'm the customer, I would like to tell you how I like it. In a very calm voice. Then she tells me to go and leave the store!!! Had an excellent first experience today after not letting anyone touch my brows in TWO YEARS. I specified I only wanted a clean up and I was nervous because the last time I got them threaded (somewhere else two years ago) they stole my eyebrows. I have naturally thick brows and prefer them to stay that way. She did an excellent job shaping them and it was really quite painless. Highly recommend and will be returning!! read more

My go-to place in my work neighborhood for eyebrow threading. Prices are good and most of the time they do a nice job (just make sure to let them know if you don't want it to be too thin!) On Thursday and Friday lunchtimes, the place can get crowded and there could be a wait, but just try to avoid those times and you will be fine! read more

However last night after not getting my brows done for 2 months growing them out more than they already were thick.. my eyebrows shape and fullness is now ruined and I couldn't be more upset. AVOID!!!! I asked for a clean up but what I got were two shapeless lines that I'll have to fill in with a pencil until the brow grows back. I recently went to Brooklyn Brows to get a brazillian wax and my legs waxed. while she moved quickly on my legs, the brazillian wax let me down. 1. No gloves. I shouldve ran out of there like hell but my vacation was in 2 days and I was short on time. 2. She missed MANY hairs and didnt attempt to grab any of them with tweezers. Some good points: 1.
