I never do this, but I have to give 1 star. I came here once before and it was fine- not great, but fine in a pinch. I have really full eyebrows, I said I wanted them just cleaned up. Once is much thinner than the other she took way too much off one side and they are uneven, it took 5 mins and truly I don't think she even looked at them. Seemed like it was just a hack job to get me in and out, but truly so horrific. I wish I wouldn't have gotten them "cleaned up". Unfortunately, this location is about 3,000 miles too far but from home but I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town! This is my third time going to this place. I went for eyebrow tinting and 2 times for a Brazilian wax. The first time I went for a Brazilian wax I had a terrible experience, I only went back because I had paid ahead and I didn't want it to go to waste. The lady I saw last time was very aggressive and was just yanking the wax strips without even holding the skin so that it wouldn't hurt so much. After I got home I noticed my skin was very irritated, it was like that for 2 days and it hurt a lot. I went again today because like I mentioned it was already paid for and I didn't want it to go to waste. I saw a different lady this time.. her name was "Pinky" she was excellent!!! She was very gentle and did a great job!! My advice would be that if you do go for a Brazilian wax make sure you see Pinky. She is awesome! So yea.. Solid place. I called in advance to make an appointment for a Brazilian wax. The lady on the phone told me not to buy the Groupon and she would charge me the Groupon rate. I got my Brazilian wax for $15. Which is outstanding. It is a bit of a commute for me. But I highly doubt you're going to find a Brazilian wax cheaper in NYC. She gave me a rewards card. Sabi is FANTASTIC. I found this place through Groupon, and I'm so glad I did! She gave me exactly what I wanted, and it was honestly the fastest wax I've ever had in my life. They are awful, painful, unnatural looking and are terrible at it. The moment they were putting them on I could tell something was wrong. When they were done I noticed they glued them to my skin! Blossom brows is a great go-to brows and waxing place. Not too much glam but they're quick, efficient, polite and decently priced! Right in the middle of park slope it's a perfect place to stop by when you need a quick fix! I originally started going when I purchased a Groupon and have been hooked ever since! Let's face it getting a Brazilian or bikini wax is not anyone's favorite thing to do but girls gotta do what a girls gotta do! And I like coming here as they really do a great job. I recommend Karuna-she's really nice and takes her time to make sure you're comfortable and everything goes smoothly. Pun intended...but really everyone there does a great job. They use a a couple different waxes-chocolate or sugar. I'm currently into the chocolate waxes...they seem to last longer and have the best results. Each esthetician takes care to use clean strips and the wax is never too hot either. Every so often I'll get my eyebrows threaded as well. Not going to lie between waxing and threading... Came here w a groupon voucher for brazilian wax and it was a pleasant visit! The place was clean and staff were friendly from the moment I stepped in to the time i walked out the door. They use a chocolate scented wax and i saw that they did not double dip. With every dip they used a new stick. My lady was super nice. Have given this place several tries. Every time I leave covered in wax even when specifically asking them to make sure there's no wax left on me. I've been getting waxes for 7 years now at different locations and not once did I have this issue. I need to go shower immediately after and it takes tons and tons of scrubbing to get their wax off. On a Sunday evening, I called ahead to see if I could squeeze in a brow threading before closing, and was told I could. I rushed over in just enough time to complete the service (which normally takes no longer than 10 minutes). When I showed up, the door was open and the lights were on, but the two estheticians at the front desk told me they were closed. I begged them to squeeze me in, mentioning that I was the person who had called earlier. They said the register was closed. I offered to pay cash and tip generously. They refused. So, I stated back to them what I understood to be happening: "I called ahead of time, I'm here before closing, I'm willing to pay cash and tip generously, for a service that has never taken more than 10 minutes in the past... and you're not willing to serve me?" Aasma is a real professional - kind, efficient, and knowledgeable. I went in with a Groupon for a chocolate or sugaring Brazilian wax, and the treatment exceeded all of my expectations. The chocolate wax was gentle and much less painful than any wax I've ever had. This is a small boutique shop but the girl who did my Brazilian wax and threading was Jaya. She was very sweet and explained everything throughout the entire process . The process was almost painless. On a scale of one to ten I would give it about a 1.5. It's the anticipated pain that gets me. The threading did not hurt at all. I would definitely return. I went here for the first time I decided to get a facial and eye brow tint. The young lady advises the Seaweed Organic Facil I said ok the price on the flyer and in the board in the location say it's $60.00. When it was over she said it was $70.00 for the facil. I ask why when it clearly states on the board and the flyer $60.00 and if that was the case why did she not let me know before hand that there was a $10.00 dollar deference. I left I did not want to make a seen, she had one customer I decided to called when I was a block away I did I told her that was horrible business being dishonest to customers she said the price is on line, WHAT I was at the shop not on line my advise is change your prices and stop stealing from hard working people.
