Today I went to Jassie's after reading favorable reviews and I was not disappointed. I had my eyebrows threaded and tinted and a full Brazilian and all of the services were top notch. I am always nervous with eyebrow tint because I prefer a natural look over the dark dark look that happens when you keep the tint on too long. Many times before I have asked other eyebrow salons to not leave the tint on too long and they never really listen thinking I will not be happy with a lighter shade. Jassie trusted that I know my Body and she took it off at exactly the right time... they look beautiful. Good for eyebrows and upper lip wax only. Brazilian felt rushed and you need to clarify which one you're getting in advance. Before making the decision to get back one, I asked her what the Brazilian for $30 was - she said chocolate and I said ok. She told me the organic one was $50. I reiterated I wanted the regular one since my normal place is $30 in the city. She left mid-services after my Brazilian to work on 2 customers eyebrows who had walked in while I was getting my Brazilian and she told them it would be a 5 minute wait. I waited for her to finish with her customers outside and then she rushed through my full arms wax service, I had to point out spots that were missed for both Brazilian and arms. When I went to pay, she charged me for a "special" Brazilian and then proceeded to call someone. I specifically requested the basic one - she knocked the price from $50 to 40... you can get this no frills service somewhere else for cheaper. Did not leave a good impression. Would not return. My normal spot always does fingers when you even get a half arm wax, and I had to inquire about it and she rushed and missed two fingers. I pointed out the fingers and she rushed to get them. Recommend for eyebrow threading. However beware of their waxing service as this eyebrow salon is not hygienic. They do not include a pre-wipe. There is baby powder all over the floor in the waxing room. Jassie's eyebrow salon also does not provide a modesty cover or go over aftercare. I recently visited for a full Brazilian and the tech with glasses (unsure of her name) did not wear gloves, or a mask and even DOUBLE DIPPED! Spoke with the salon the day before about what I wanted done. The eyelash tech was not even there. She did a bad job on my eyebrows . I even showed her the inspo photo from her own Yelp reviews!! If I could give this place negative 20 stars , I would!! This was the WORST EXPERIENCE!! The owner was away and had this woman doing fake lashes. The owner said she was " great". OMG THIS WOMAN SENT ME TO THE DOCTOR !! Burned my eyes with glue. I was crying and screaming and she just said ... no no it's ok it's ok. OK??? I ended up with burned eyes and horrendous clumps of lashes and glue!!! I ran out of there straight to doctor!! He put solution in my eyes to stop the pain. THEN I had to go to a reputable eye lash salon to remove the disaster!! I had almost no lashes of my own left!!! I had to pay $200 to fix the disaster that woman did to me !!! I texted the owner who was on vacation and she said the lady was awful and was robbing from her. And that she would take care of me when she returned. I HAVE WRITTEN PROOF OF HER SAYING THIS !! I saw a Groupon and scheduled my appointment easily. It was my first time getting a Brazilian as I do laser everywhere but it never really worked with the under glutes. It was not very painful but it only lasted about 5 min. I didn't get the front waxed and instead asked to get the butt cheeks waxed along with inner cheeks and was asked to pay another $10 which I wouldn't have minded if done correctly. She reminded me multiple times to leave her a good review however after I went home and showered and took pictures I realized I was was left with a lot of hair both on the cheekd and inside and will have to go elsewhere to get a true clean and full wax done. read more

I recently started going to this salon and jassie does a great job, however when i just went the other lady was doing mine and it hurt more than usual. I've been going to jaessi for over 10 years now. I started going to her for eyebrow threading on 82nd street and 5th avenue, my best friend told me her mom had once gone there and I continued to go to her because it was the one place eyebrow threading didn't leave me in pain. Jaessi is both friendly and great with what she does. She really added definition to my eyebrows every single visit. She was able to fix them, shape them, and give me exactly what I wanted every time I wanted a little change (if I wanted them thick, skinny, long, square, etc.) I at one point lost contact from my pregnancy, and came back about a year later to come see jaessi in the salon. I went to wait for her in the salon one day and realized over an hour where had jaessi gone lol. I came outside and saw jaessi walking past where she told me she was no longer in that location, and I found it so ironic that we met while I was waiting for her to do my eyebrows. I've been going to jaessi ever since, call it crazy but I'm pretty loyal to someone that does a good job and treats me well, jaessi is the only person that touches my eyebrows and It's over 10 years now. Jaessi also does more than eyebrows and works in a great salon that does hair really good too. I am excited to set up my facial appointment and Brazilian also with jaessi and have referred her to friends and co workers and have to hear anything less than great comments.
