I bought a chocolate/sugar Brazilian wax on Groupon. I was lured in by the price ($15), plus the reviews seemed ok on here. I'm seriously regretting doing this now, especially since it was for my honeymoon. Although the girl doing my wax was sweet and friendly, I came out with what I would probably describe as the worst wax I've ever had (and I'm not one to go to luxury salons). First, this was the most painful Brazilian wax I've ever had. The technician didn't pull any of my surrounding skin tightly, which in my experience is standard practice. She kept having to go over the same area multiple times. I ended up with a lot of short broken hairs which I then spent the next 2 hours tweezing out at home. Could've done with a massage after all that neck craning!! The recovery period has been even worse. I spent an entire 2 days afterwards red and raw and extremely sore. Then I broke out in little white pimples. As soon as they started to clear, my skin started peeling (maybe she burnt me a bit?) and the pimples have left red scars, even though I resisted the urge to squeeze them. And before any of this has even slightly cleared, all the hair is growing back already. All this less than 5 days after my wax. It's left me extremely disappointed on my honeymoon, getting changed in private so my husband can't see the disaster area. From now on I will spend that little bit extra and get a decent wax that doesn't leave me scarred, uncomfortable and hairy. The only saving grace for this place is the fact that they managed to fit me in even though I was late for my appointment. Maybe there's a good reason they weren't very busy. Feeling pretty generous, so I'm giving one star. read more

I went here for the first time today, and although the eyebrow tinting person seemed rushed working on me and others at the same time, she did a decent job. After seeing the eyelash tinting signs and thinking about it, I came back to try it while I was in the neighborhood. This was TRAUMATIC. I had the second person there this time, and she was rushing. Now it was after work hours and they each had multiple people. Someone who walked in after me said she didn't want to wait for her bikini wax. So my eyelash person said "just two minutes to do this, then I'll be right there." Then without telling me anything about the procedure of eyelash tinting, even though I said it was my first time, she proceeded to quickly glob stuff around my eyes, tell me to shut my eyes, and globbed more stuff on the lashes. Then she said "don't open your eyes at all!" And ran to do a bikini waxing in another room. Meanwhile my eyes started burning, and I couldn't see, and she was in the other room. It was pretty scary, as my left eye especially was burning. I'm generally pretty easygoing and tried to stay calm. When she finally came back to me, she roughly started pouring water down one side of my face, which burned my eye more, as she threw water into it. I started cringing and told her I had contacts in. Then she got mad at me! Stating I should have taken them out. How would I know, as I told her, this was my first time doing this. And when she was rushing to put the stuff on my eyelashes initially, I cringed some and she just said to stay still. So i tried to just be patient. But the water in eyes with the dye on my lashes was too painful. Finally she had to make me get up (still with my eyes closed), and lead me to a sink to wash my eyes myself. I still couldn't open them and they were burning. Eventually, I told her to give me a towel, and she repeated I shouldn't have contacts in. Finally I got enough off to open my eyes, only to see my eyelashes looked exactly the same, but I was getting scolded and humiliated, and still had some burning in my left eye. I asked if I could go to the restroom so the whole place wouldn't see the production, so I did and there was no mirror:/. She asked me to pay the moment my eyes opened, and then asked if I needed anything else. My impression of this place is they just want to keep people packed in to get their money but don't care to spend any time with them and have poor quality services. This was an awful first (and last) eyelash tinting experience and I'd really like my $20 back. I am usually loyal to a couple of threading salons but I was in a hurry today so I decided to give this one a try. I am very specific, I always say the same thing, don't mess wkrht with the shape, only clean the strays that aren't attached to the rest of the brow, keep the length on both ends and I end by saying "I don't have a lot of brow to begin with and I want to keep as much as possible." the young woman nodded and went at it. I was worried because she was pulling a lot of them, but I assumed I just had more strays than normal. Nope. She gave me 1990 Pamela Anderson brows. I just pray they grow back. I'm livid, I couldn't have been more clear. Avoid this salon. There is another Blossom on 9th Street and 5th Avenue and they actually listen to you. read more

I used to love this place, and had given them a 5 star review, but over time, they seemed to stop listening to my requests and I spent 5 weeks awkwardly growing out my brows like a bad haircut. It's important I keep my brows thick and angled, and I make sure to consult with the threader each time I went. Unfortunately, my brows kept getting thinner and thinner and more more rounded and uneven. I think their new hires could use a bit more training in technique and customer service. This is a horrible place. I just had a terrible experience. I went to get my eyebrows and lip waxed. Niasha was totally rude from the time I got in there to the time I left. She haphazardly put the wax on my lip and proceeded to burn my lip and cut it as well. She also did a terrible job on my eyebrows. They are lopsided and not clean at all. Don't waste your money and time for such discomfort. Find a new place. As for you Niasha take a class on people skills!!!!!!! read more

This use to be one of my favorite places for Brazilian. Now they DOUBLE DIP when they say they don't on their price lists and signs. That really sucks because I would come here twice a month for it. I have gone to many other place but once I found this place I stood here. I have gotten a bikini wax here for nearly 1 year now. I found this place through Groupon. All the ladies here are so sweet. I love that they DON'T double dip. A few of them done my wax but the main 2 I see are Jaya and Aasma. They both amazing people. A wax hurts no matter what but they make it more tolerable then anyone I have gotten done with. Plus they make conversation with you which is always nice. So I was in town visiting a friend and went to have my eyebrows threaded and eyelash extensions. First, the brow threading was utterly perfect.... highly recommend! But I should have known by how cheap they were that the eyelash extensions were sub-par. They started falling out the next day and all of them were gone five days later, hence the three star review. Jhaya is amazing but the younger girl working there has such a bad attitude and refuses to admit when she didn't follow directions. I asked her to just clean up the edges mostly the ends, same instructions I gave to Jhaya who left me with beautiful brows, but this younger girl didn't listen and now they're uneven the day before my birthday and a professional event. After searching through group on for a good waxing place, I decided to try Blossom Brows. I did my wax with Pinky and it was a great experience, she was very nice and caring. She made sure I was comfortable and ready for the process. I did the Brazilian chocolate wax and it went well. I've been here twice to get a Brazilian. The first was good. No issues. The second time however was a little tragic. She kept going over the same area multiple times, which was unnecessary because i didn't have that much hair. She went over one area so much that she ended up cutting/burning me and then said that I was getting my period. She was extremely rough. I don't think I'll be back here. read more

Went in on my birthday to get my eyebrows threaded and came out with completely uneven and far apart brows. The threading hurt much more then I have experienced and took way longer than usual. Lastly, there was only one woman running it so it took a while to have the threading done. Overall, I would not recommend for eyebrow threading. read more

I only came here because I got a Groupon for a chocolate wax and to get the job done before a vacation. Out of my experiences, this was the worst. First of all, typically you are alone when undressing before the wax. This wasn't the case for myself, the lady stayed in the room while I awkardly undressed (no big deal since she was about see my genitals anyway). Secondly, in my experience, the person doing the wax sits at the end of the bed to get a better result. The lady here, stood next to me. Thirdly, she just applied wax and ripped. Because my pain tolerance is high, I didn't freak out as much but knew I wouldn't be coming back to this location. Fourth, she used so much wax it was difficult to fully remove for 2 days. Lastly, after being scolded during the entire ordeal about waxing vs shaving, there were still patches of hair and my skin was red/bleeding in spots. And the absolute last thing is that there is no real privacy since the walls do not go all the way up to the ceiling so you can hear everything going on. read more
