While the patio is nicely designed and has comfy wicker chairs, the parking lot traffic does take a bit from the ambiance. But hey, how often can I dine outside in Florida without dying of heat or mosquitos or drowning in a downpour. They had a ton of delicious specials going but I like to try places for the first time based on my favorite dishes. However, I can't pass up octopus carpaccio and while it was delicious, the slices stuck to the plate which the waiter attributed to being outside where it warmed up. Next time, calamari for sure! I got the fettuccine bolognese as I'm still chasing a sauce that isn't just ground beef added to marinara. I'm happy to say it's the best bolognaise I've found in Central Florida! Their pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was rich and not overly tomatoey or sweet like most places. It also was fully tossed so it clung to the noodles. Dad was in a pizza mood but was definitely temped by the veal chop special. He ended up with the all in pie and I knew it was a winner when he ate the crust. He's very picky about crust and this hit the mark on texture and taste! So yes, the love this group has for Don Giovanni is real and if you haven't tried it I definitely recommend it!

My daughter and I came in for a early dinner. Although we were excited to try this restaurant out, after hearing a lot of good things. We experienced a little rudeness when we were there. From the beginning, our waitress seemed to 'act' like she knew the menu inside and out but when asked about the gluten free options that they offered, she was unaware. We asked for the prices of the items upfront because some of the pricing for things were not on the menu. She told us that the Gluten Free, 10" pizza was $11.99. So my daughter ordered one, I ordered a regular pizza, and a large salad. By the time we finished eating and received the check I noticed our bill was almost $50.00. Seeing as we only ordered 2, 10" pizza's (1 being gluten free) and a large salad. It shouldn't have been that high. Skimming through the bill, I noticed I was charged $15.99 for the GF pizza and extra for the salad. After confronting the waitress about it, she said, "Well, that's the price of the GF pizza when I go to ring it in the system". Clearly, that is not what was told to us at the table. Then, when asked about the up-charge on the salad she told us that, "We only give out 1 dressing per table, if you want more there's a charge". I asked her why she didn't notify us of that before she put in our order and she just looked at me like I was in the wrong. The waitress left the table to speak with the manager about our bill, she came back and said there's was nothing she could do about the pricing. I was waiting for her to apologize and it seemed to take her forever to do so. Unfortunately, I will not becoming back into this restaurant. The pricing is a little ridiculous, especially for a small town such as Daytona/Ormond. Paying $15.99 for a Gluten Free pizza is something you would see in Orlando or L.A. NOT in Volusia County. As for the waitstaff, very disappointing on how the situation was handled, hence the two stars. read more

We always look forward to dining at The Bronx House (Ormond Beach) because of Kim. She is truly exceptional at what she does. From the moment we walk in, she greets everyone with a warm smile and such a positive attitude that immediately makes you feel welcome. Kim always takes care of us personally every time we visit. She remembers us by name and even knows our favorite meals, making sure everything comes out perfectly each and every time. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine kindness make every dining experience special. It is rare to find someone who consistently provides this level of outstanding customer service. Kim is a tremendous asset to the Bronx House, and her dedication does not go unnoticed. We greatly appreciate her and highly recommend dining here because of the wonderful experience she provides. I've been back several times since my original visit, and have actually become something of a regular. I'm a freelance journalist and I like to work from different venues to keep things interesting, and I've found myself coming back to Bronx House to work and they're always extremely welcoming and happy to let me camp out. Just on the third visit the staff began to learn my preferred drink and food orders and recommend them when I walk in. I can't understate how welcoming the atmosphere is and how friendly the staff are, and of course the food is nothing to scoff at either. If you're in the area I can't recommend stopping in enough, Bronx House Pizza has become a staple of my "office of the day" rotation because I thoroughly enjoy it so much. read more

I was really craving New York style pizza. I wanted a flavorful sauce with a crisp crust and no soggy bottom. The slice of sicilian I ordered did not dissapoint! It was crispy, with a good sauce to cheese ratio. I am always looking for good vegan options as well. They only offered one option, the vegan ravioli, but it was a great choice! The filling was made with finely minced veggies and served with garlic, tomatoes and spinach over it. Very satisfying mouthfeel for vegans missing ravioli. I suggest a side of marinara to really add to the flavor. We had fast, friendly service from kim and paula! Never waited for drinks to get low, boxed our leftovers for us, kept an eye on us. First time here and ordered a department of sanitation pizza and pepperoni pizzas. Also had the garlic knots. Wow ! Absolutely amazing flavor from all the food ! I have seriously never had something you would thinK so basic like garlic bread taste so AMAZING! The bread is fluffy inside but crusty outside and FULL of garlic. The pizzas did not look like anything different from any other pizza but the flavor is delicious... the toppings all are deliciously different from the pizza we usually have around here. As someone from New York, I am often skeptical to places labeling themselves as "New York Style" pizza. When I go into a pizza place l, I'm looking for two main things(Good hot sauce, and Good blue cheese). After entering, I was quickly seated by a very nice waitress who was very attentive. I ordered two slices and of course, with a side of blue cheese and hot sauce. The pizza tasted excellent! Very large slices, and the blue cheese was chunky and had chunks left in the bottom! Good blue cheese down south is EXTREMELY hard to come by, and the hot sauce was unique and flavorful! Price was also cheap! I've eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed! Their meatballs are one of their highlights, whether in a sub, on a pizza or all by themselves. Speaking of pizza, great choice if you like New York style, but wait there's more!! They have Sicilian style as well for those with a hearty appetite. Service is always great if you're sitting down. Paula makes you feel like family and is happy to help you pick if you can't decide from the menu. My only criticism might be the prices for the large pizzas but it is very hard to put a price tag on good pizza. Check them out, you'll be glad you did. read more

There are simple things that companies can do to completely ruin my view of their restaurant before I even try their food. One of which being the delivery drivers. I was being a delivery driver today of a middle aged woman who was smoking in the car which is gross to think about my food being in the car with her, next she was driving like an idiot. Clearly on her phone and cutting off cars with no blinker and sitting at a green light because she was on her phone. If a restaurant can't even have a professional delivery driver I don't even want to see what it's like inside their restaurant. read more

Tried Bronx House for the first time on the recommendation of a friend. Good location with indoor and outdoor seating available. Our server Kimmy was great. Addressed things that weren't clear on the menu (drinks) and that slices were available. Even mentioned that the tea they offer is from the fountain machine. We ordered a couple of slices and the garlic knots and bruschetta. Both delicious! The slices were good size and just the right temperature. They do have a variety of pasta dishes as well. Bronx House Pizza advertises as Florida number 1 rated restaurant. The other night I ordered 3 items: 16" Vegetarian Pizza, a Chicken calzone with ricotta and mozarella with a dish of dipping sauce, and an eggplant parm with spaghetti. The eggplant parm with spaghetti was delicious! tThe calzone stated a "golden brown" crust. Please note the color of the calzone my sister received. I call that burned black. You wouldn't know they are here, but you need to come in and get some pizza or enjoy an Italian meal! They are working on their liquor license, so they couldn't serve alcohol yet, but they could give us a free glass of wine or beer. We also got free bread with our meal which was very fresh and crispy. The salads were fresh and of generous portions and the pizza was excellent! Reminds us of Italian pizza up north! Knowing the quality of the food from the sister restaurant in Palm Coast,Fl, (Joe's NY Pizza) my wife and I drove down from St Augustine, Fl to sample the food. at Bronx House Pizza. This is our new favorite pizza place. We've been coming here for about 4 months, and the food never disappoints. We are classic cheese pizza eaters, but have also had the lasagna balls appetizer which was delicious. We usually eat at the restaurant, but have also done take out. The owners are very nice people and the place is extremely clean and in a good location next to the Doghouse Bar.
