White Pizza Heaven - 5 Stars! Tucked away in the middle of a shopping center, this quaint little spot serves up hands-down one of the best white pizzas I've ever had. The flavor is so incredible that I've gone back more than once in a single week just to get another. Tonight we met some friends at Genovese's and the staff was great, accommodated our group of 9 in the back room. Our pizza, 1/2 pepperoni and1/2 tomato was great. Unfortunately, I don't really care for their food, the house salad is very small and even though was told that all the salad dressings were homemade, they are not. To me the food does not have a good taste & lacks flavor. Their sausage on their pizzas, is tube sausage thinly sliced. We are originally from Wisconsin, and like a true fresh sausage taste. The place was very clean, and very busy tonight. The three stars, is because at the end of the night, our waitress who had been excellent all night, asked if we needed anything else and it was taken that it was time to move on, so we left. I know she didn't mean it, but it came across that way. Get some new cooks that look and appear clean. read more

A cozy casual family restaurant with delicious Italian food! The portions are large and very affordable. I was with a party of 5 and everyone enjoyed their dish from pasta, to eggplant Parmesan, to the meatballs. Wow! Don't miss this favorite spot of locals/regulars! We entered this cozy, family-style restaurant with its attractive Mediterranean-style mural on the back wall. We seated ourselves and a friendly hostess, with a great smile, made us feel welcome and quickly brought menus and took our beverage order. We ordered a delicious "spinach Alfredo pizza" with spinach, obviously, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, and pecorino Romano. What was amazing was the crust! Literally, the pizza crust was one of the best that I've ever had. I almost never eat pizza crusts, but I gobbled this one right up! It was light, crispy, and yummy! We also ordered some cheesy garlic bread for carb excess and it was good too! Not thick, gummy, dense, too doughy, etc. I'd love to return to try other items like their salads. Salads were seen making their way to other tables and they looked very fresh! This is a place often frequented by regulars. I was there Wednesday night fordinner with my friend The service was great but the food was terrible! The lettuce in the salad was the end of the head and in big chunks. I ordered lasagna & it was burnt. I could only eat a portion of the middle. My friend ordered the eggplant parm. It was just mush and inedible. The best part of the meal was the bread and the drinks. Ordered pizza delivery. Pizza and salad were excellent. Love the crust and the pie. Went with this place based on another review who said they were from the Bronx and recommended it. Loved it. Excellent. We had a snafu with our order (didn't realize we wanted 2 pizzas) but a quick call and not too long later our second pie was at the door. Will definitely eat here again when back to this area. Leftovers were yummy too! Kids loved the pizza too. One of our pies was pepperoni, bacon, and pineapple. *chefs kiss* even our picky kid preferred this over just cheese which is amazing. read more

The food is made from scratch by the owner so I've never had a bad meal. In fact they were able to open a second location with the first in Port Orange run by his wife and the Ormond location run by him. Service has always been very attentive with them always checking to make sure you're happy with the order. Both places are small so come early or you will be waiting to get seated. Both offer a different ambiance so I guess the patron can choose which they prefer All excellent Italian dishes We have eaten at both and watched them grow from opening day to now. read more

Genovese's is our go-to Italian restaurant for Pizza and Italian food. Our favorites are the Lasagna and Chicken Parm and both are excellent in quality and quantity. It's a small unassuming restaurant in a strip mall and that may fool some to not try it but that's their decision but the food and service are always excellent. Genovese's also has a brisk takeout business as well and when we want Pizza, this is one of our favorite places to get pizza. read more

Be careful to not fill up on it bc the portions are generous!! Garlic broccoli app - do not miss!!! Amazing! We used the garlic oil from the dish on the bread after devouring the broccoli! Pizza - delish! Great flavor and texture to the crust. The dinner salads are huge and they do not skimp on the meat and cheese! The meatballs are not to be missed! And they're giant!! Unfortunately, we felt it was just a very 'meh' meal. Came here Saturday night after a long day of Jeep Beach week event. It was crowded but we did get a table pretty much right away. We left it mostly uneaten. We ordered an antipasti salad. The pink vinaigrette dressing had no taste . The meat and cheese on the salad was sparse. We ordered a medium pizza, half cheese half the works. My wife who had the works slice said it was way too salty. Cheese side was good enough. We also ordered 'pasta w meat sauce'. I asked if Angel hair, nope they didn't have. The sauce was just meh, and very little meat. I kept picking at it I just wanted to get some protein in. My boyfriends family and I went here for his birthday dinner and we were super happy as always when we come here! I decided to try the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and it was SO good. There was so much food on my plate. I didn't get pictures of everybody else's food but we also ordered the meatballs and they are HUGE! The waitress was super nice and quick with everything. I will say in the evenings this place does get busy! We are lucky our family got there before us to get us a table so we didn't have to wait in line. I think I'm missing something... the restaurant is full... lots of people eating a variety of different things... and we thought our meal was just meh... Hubby had seen this place while frequenting the strip mall it's in. He commented that it always seems busy so it must be good. We hadn't eaten since earlier that day, so we decided to carb load and do Italian. First off, it's seat yourself, and we lucked out and found a small booth near the entrance to the kitchen. Service was prompt, and even though we had gone there thinking pizza, hubby was soon interested in the shrimp scampi special of the day, and I thought some eggplant parmesan would be filling... To start, my cold draft beer was served in a warm glass so it was soon warm. Hubby's cold bottled beer was served in an iced glass so his at least stayed colder longer. Next, you have a choice of soup or salad, and I opted to try their wedding soup... it was ok... similar to Progresso's wedding soup in flavor and consistency... Hubby opted for the salad which was your basic mixed salad. The Italian bread was nice and hot - crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. Then came the entrees: I did not really enjoy my meal. The eggplant was sliced very thinly, and I felt as though I was eating more Panko breading than actual eggplant. The pasta choices were spaghetti, fettuccine or penne. My spaghetti was al dente but more on the needs a couple more minutes in the water than the will stick to the wall side. The sauce was ok. I always judge Italian restaurants by their sauce, and theirs was watery with a few pieces of tomato that only slightly made it seem thicker than it was. Seasoning was lackluster. Hubby did not like his meal at all. While the shrimp were good sized, they were placed on top of the spaghetti instead of in their own separate bowl which thinned out the butter garlic wine sauce, and there was no extra sauce on the pasta which made it very dry. When he asked about getting some more sauce or maybe another sauce he was told it would be a $2 additional charge. We ended up packing up the meals and bringing them home, where microwaved the sauce got thicker and wasn't as bad. Still. Oh, and as I mentioned, we were sitting by the kitchen so I had a full view of the waitress who stopped to take a vape break in the MIDDLE OF THE KITCHEN... as she blew out and up, I just imagined millions of microbes rising up and landing on all the dishes being prepared... glad we had been served at that point. Don't think we'll be back anytime soon, but with all the people in the restaurant I still wonder what am I missing here... read more

Went to this restaurant during Jeep Week based on mostly 4-star reviews. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The minestrone looked and tasted like it came from a can, the antipasto was small and weak with very little meats and cheeses and the dressing was cotton candy pink (it tasted better than it looked). We also ordered pizza which was fine, nothing to write home about, and also a spaghetti with meat sauce. Huge portion, but again was just ok.
