My first visit to Mario's and boy have I been missing out, this place has been dishing out delicious Italian dishes since before I was born and it's apparent the locals know this and flock here. The decor and ambiance is how I imagine a Italian Restaurant should be, from the lighting to the linen table cloths, great service and amazing food served hot from the kitchen. Our server was exceptional, not overly attentive but we never waited for anything. The courses were timed perfectly, there's no doubt this comes from years of experience, training and a well managed operation which is very rare these days. We chose a variety of things and none disappointed the portions were plentiful and filling and definitely makes you want to plan your next visit to explore the menu. This visit's feast included - a loaf of garlic bread hot from the oven, seafood stuffed mushrooms (a must try), a chilled house salad with Italian dressing, a Veal Rib Chop perfectly medium rare, roasted potatoes, spaghetti with sauce, lasagna, chicken parmigiana and then finally a box for the leftovers. The entire experience was wonderful and no misses, I'm definitely not going to be a stranger here, it's probably the best Italian dining experience I've had in the area hands down...

Tommy's birthday. Delicious food, great service.

We had a nice time with our friends. The place was very busy and was told the bar area has been renovated. The bar looked great. They had plenty of staffing. Our waiter Dan was 5 star. The food was good. The sauces had great flavor. I really loved the garlic bread. It wasn't the best Italian food I've e had in town. I liked it but didn't love it. The waiter made it a better experience. I would recommend this place and would be coming back. I thought the bill was very fair. The bonanza wine was very good. The salads were very good. Loved the egg and pepperoni in it.

While the patio is nicely designed and has comfy wicker chairs, the parking lot traffic does take a bit from the ambiance. But hey, how often can I dine outside in Florida without dying of heat or mosquitos or drowning in a downpour. They had a ton of delicious specials going but I like to try places for the first time based on my favorite dishes. However, I can't pass up octopus carpaccio and while it was delicious, the slices stuck to the plate which the waiter attributed to being outside where it warmed up. Next time, calamari for sure! I got the fettuccine bolognese as I'm still chasing a sauce that isn't just ground beef added to marinara. I'm happy to say it's the best bolognaise I've found in Central Florida! Their pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was rich and not overly tomatoey or sweet like most places. It also was fully tossed so it clung to the noodles. Dad was in a pizza mood but was definitely temped by the veal chop special. He ended up with the all in pie and I knew it was a winner when he ate the crust. He's very picky about crust and this hit the mark on texture and taste! So yes, the love this group has for Don Giovanni is real and if you haven't tried it I definitely recommend it!

It's easy to drive by this place, but it's really worth making the reservation or taking a chance to eat there. My Pappardelle was Wow , great! The carpaccio was nicely done and presented, a nice size for 2. The portions ere also generous. I mentioned the service earlier. At this place, they retrieve your used cutlery and plates and replace them after every course. I really like this because I don't like having to lick off my cutlery between courses. Between the white tablecloths, the excellent and attentive service and the freshness of the fare, you really feel welcomed into a bit of Italy. Nice ambiance. The wine list has nice choices at good prices. I had the Chianti at $12. Nice pours too.

The calamari were lightly breaded kind of chewy, cheese sticks and stick's had a nice cheese and bread combination, loved the stuffed fried ravioli. Are entrees were all different, some got stuffed shells, others got Pizza, mind you they have two brick ovens inside. We stopped in without reservations but they found space for us outside on the front porch. It was right after Christmas and I have rarely seen a restaurant do it better. Cotton in the trees and bushes to simulate snow, classic Holiday decor everywhere you looked. Every detail was amazing! Inside was like stepping into 19th century home that was elegant and regal. The only thing better than the atmosphere was the food. Our Pork Belly Bruschetta was elegantly presented and just melted in your mouth.
