Consistently good food Great service Nice wine list and full bar A little loud especially during early bird read more

All of our dishes soup appetizer entrees dessert was wonderful. The service was spot on prices are on the high side compared to other restaurants. Considering the size and amount of patrons or volume I would expect the entrees to be less expensive. The decor or interior needs a complete make over carpet needs to go, wood paint lights it all needs a modern clean bright make over to justify the prices. The chicken Marsala was not traditional felt more like chicken tenders then thin sliced chicken read more

Our waiter Tim was excellent! The service and food here is always on point. This is by far one of the best Italian restaurants around. Started off with an artichoke, salad and garlic bread. We got the chicken franchise and the linguine and clams in white sauce. As usual everything was excellent. Everything we have tried here has been delicious. My family loves the pizza also. You really can't go wrong here. I highly recommend this restaurant. 5 stars for sure! read more

Mario's Restaurant - Mario's Combo...... Lasagna, Chicken Parmesan & Angel Hair Pasta! - Italian Near Me - Ormond Beach, Florida

The ambiance, atmosphere, waiter and food was exceptional. Definitely a word of mouth winner. The bread, salads and the meals are fresh and tasty. One of my tests is the crunchy, cooked texture of broccoli and they had done it perfectly. It was obvious they take the time to cut fresh vegetables as opposed to frozen or canned open. the lobster ravioli was devine and the chicken Marcel was cooked to perfection. The appetizer stuff mushrooms was the best I've ever had. Different styled tables to handle, family, friends and couples. 5 star establishment. The pictures do them no justice. read more

The food was so good!!! Service was great! Tim our server was on the ball never had to wait for anything. It looked very crowded from all the cars in parking lot, we almost turned away. But we decided to go in and see how long the wait was. Here it was only 5 minutes and we didn't wait that long. Back to food. I think this was the hottest food that I have ever been served. I had shrimp fettuccine Alfredo which think was best I have eaten. My husband had chicken parmigiana. He loved the sauce, only thing one of favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh does to chicken parmigiana is the pound the chicken thin and bake it. This restaurant leaves chicken in the breast size. He also has cup of pasta fagolia soup. Again really hot, filled with beans and pasta. So good!!! If I wasn't so full I would have loved to try dessert. Maybe next time. read more

Just what we were looking for!!! Old School 'red gravy' joint that won't disappoint. Went there on a Monday night and it was HOPPIN! Chicken parm was great and the antipasto salad is OUT OF BOUNDS. Not cheap, but the portions are giant. Service is that old school Sopranos 'Visuvios' style . I couldn't imagine getting trapped in this restaurant on a rainy night like Tony and Carmella. Perfect place to wait out the storm! Heaven! read more

Great food and perfect service just make sure you have a reservation. Ambiance was nice too.

everything from the start to the end excellent food specially the artichoke never tasted as good as Mario's even my family's recipe

Not bad, not great. My service was excellent , there's no question about that. Decor was outdated but not in a nostalgic way, more in an it needs some cleaning up and modernizing. The food was good, but definitely not worth the cost. We were willing to pay a little more (prices are out of control everywhere) but you should get some value in what you pay for. $17.00 for a salad and two manicotti is excessive in my opinion. The garlic bread though, there's a 5. read more

It was a party of nine Peter took care of us. Amazing food. Excellent service will definitely go back.

We went there on gift cards we had won. It's a good thing we did, because if we had actually had to spent money we would not have been pleased. As soon as you walk into the restaurant it smells old and dirty. The food is average and the service is average as well judging by the clientele when we were there they appear to cater to the much older crowd. We're in our very early 60's and we were the youngest people in the venue. They claim it was recently renovated, but quite honestly we did not see any signs indicating so. This is not a venue we would ever go back to. read more

The food is amazing and the service is great!!! The ambiance is like going to an old world Italian restaurant.

have eaten here many years. Always loved it.Been away for away awhile and couldnt wait to come back. Had the veal franchise Sauce looked wrong right away. Veal is supposed to be tender. Hence the $35 for 2 slices. Not a happy customer. It was tough and chewy. Husbands veal parm was too thick . it was more like chicken. Not our usual experience. there are too many other restaurants in this area to go to. and we will read more

I really wish I could be giving this restaurant a good review because everyone was very nice and tried to be helpful, but our dinner experience fell short in so many ways. There were 8 of us celebrating a family birthday and things started off great when we added an extra person, at the last minute, and they were very accommodating. Our waiter was friendly, but didn't seem to know the menu well, when we were ordering, and he had to keep looking at the menu to confirm what we were asking to have served. We ordered a few appetizers and while the stuffed mushrooms were excellent, the calamari was terribly rubbery and mussels portion was small. Our salads were enjoyable, but when a guest orders a specifically vegetarian meal, why are they served a salad with pepperoni on it? The waiter should have caught this. We have mixed reviews on our main entrees also. While some were described as "very good", two of us found our meals inedible. I will say that the manager did remove those meals from the check, but that left the two of us still hungry when we left the restaurant. (Ordering something different would have had us eating long after everyone else had finished.) This leads to the next faux pas. Two of our eight were still eating their meals, including the birthday girl, and the waiter brought over the birthday cake for us to sing Happy Birthday. My sister was blowing out candles with a mouth full of her veal. It was ridiculous. We then had to flag down the waiter to ask for coffee, which he clearly wasn't going to offer to us. Refills on beverages also were never offered. The final blow came when a beer bottle, not from our table, was dropped by a waitress right behind my chair. She and another waiter picked up a few pieces of it and just walked away. They never bothered to apologize or even inquire as to whether the beer splashed on me, which it did. Then as we got up to leave, we found several other large pieces of glass still lying on the floor under and around our chairs, which could have been very dangerous. Sadly, my sister's 80th birthday party wasn't what we had hoped it to be. read more

Mario's was delicious!! My family and I went to Mario's on a Monday evening and had a wonderful experience. We were seated right away and Tim, our sever was helpful with the menu and extremely friendly!! We ordered a bottle of white wine to share. We had Italian bread and garlic bread and both are warm and very yummy!! Salads were served with each meal and they were very fresh! I had a side of the homemade ranch and it was great!! I ordered the gnocchi and I was not disappointed!! It was so much food, it's definitely a place where meals can be shared. My family will absolutely be back for amazing Italian food! Good food but overpriced Garlic bread was real good. Lasagna was good but not hot. Antipasto salad was ok. Hardly any lettuce 2 olives not good for $14. Wait staff was very nice. Bottle of beer domestic $3 good price. Water was good. read more

First lets start with ambiance looks like a throwback to the 70's in fact I think its the same decor they had when they moved in, Moving on you got nickle and dimes in there if you asked for a little sauce on the side to dip your bread you got charged which I never experienced in NY a small saucer.. next the pasta. LAME and overcooked they didn't even drain the water so you got a sauce soup mix! They have no clue what aldente means as if it were made for toothless people to eat. The Veal was tuff and so was the mozzarella also their sauce was tart like they just poured it outa the can and did nothing else. I dont care what reviews they got from the locals they have not hint of what Italian food really is anyway. My bill came to 130$ for 2 people on my birthday ordering normal items. So i'll end this here go see for yourself read more

Took my lady here late on a Sunday night and it was perfect. We had the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. Ordered the eggplant and manicotti special and the calamari with linguine. We also had a nice bottle of wine , coffee, and dessert. It was not cheap, but well worth it. I live in new Smyrna and I feel it blew the garlic away I have lived in New York City, my whole life, and I've been to many very good Italian restaurants. I also grew up in an Italian family. Where food was everything. I have to tell you that Mario 's did not disappoint. From the minute we were welcomed until the minute we left it was a very pleasant experience. When it comes to stuff like that, I am a very picky person and I cannot find anything to complain about. PS this was my first time there and I highly recommend it. read more

Everything was great , service, attitude, Wait time ,food, Been back several times and it will continue as one of my favorite restaurants.

Our first and last visit. We joined friends for an early dinner on a Sunday. The early menu is a slightly lower priced version of some of the main menu choices. None the less the prices are much too high for the food served. The average entree served with a salad is $21-$22 dollars. A glass of wine or my Manhattan was $8. So with tax $70/ couple before tip. I ordered veal parmesan with included side of angel hair pasta with red sauce. The pasta sauce is good, a little sweet. The veal was mediocre. At first bite it was tasty, but then the salt taste kicked in and the dish became blah halfway through it. My wife ordered the shrimp scampi and was wondering how anyone could mess up such a standard dish. I guess the best part of the meal was the garlic bread; warm with lots of salted butter and garlic. Again too much salt for me, but I don't use salt do maybe I'm sensitive. Anyway, we are used to much better Italian at these prices, being from Providence RI. My advice is to go elsewhere. read more

Great staple in the neighborhood for good Italian. They have some great pasta and apps you would not find at every other joint. My family and I usually visit for early dinner, but this time we went for Easter. Definitely pricier on a holiday but the portions were also bigger. Generally I like their early dinner specials because even with the limited menu you would get a filling meal with amazing price. I would recommend going back for their garlic bread and pasta dishes the most. read more
