Nothing like New York pizza!!!! Closer to a pizza chain pizza, mass produced. We ordered a large plain cheese pizza, crispy. When we opened the box we were so disappointed to see a dry looking pizza, 10cheese, 90% tomato sauce. Given I prefer good cheese and less sauce I took one bite and was done. Very very cheap version of NY pizza. (We are from Philly area And our pizza kills this!!!). Caesar salad was very good, very fresh romaine. Meatball sub, per my husband, was good. I had a favorite pizza place that I have been going to for years, but I had to defect once I tried this place. Bronx House is by far the best pizza in Ormond Beach. We have plenty of Italian restaurants but no one comes even close. The crust is thin and tasty and has just the right amount of sauce and cheese. Comfortable seating and friendly staff. I guess we should've checked the reviews before we went in. We were disappointed. Folks came, ate and left while we were waiting for a simple pasta and pizza order. The pizza crust was like thin cardboard and the pasta had little sauce, hard cheese and smashed noodles. We noticed more than one table had 3/4 pizza or large bowl of pasta left on their tables. Maybe they will get better with time. The staff was very nice though. read more

Just went there for dinner with some friends and I can honestly say that it was the best pizza I have had since moving here two years ago. The service was quick, the pizza was fantastic and the place was packed with people and more coming in to pick up take out orders. What ever issues they had when they opened up have been taken care of. If you have not tried the place yet or tried it before and had an issue, I highly recommend giving them another chance. read more

What a great find. Being a local here that moved from Chicago 4 years ago we have not been able to find a decent pizza. Went for lunch today and everyone in our party was amazed at how good the pizza was. The crust is actually crispy, not soggy like every other pizza joint in town. As a bonus we found this is not a chain, it's just a mom and pop local business. I always prefer to support local business since I live here. Now I just need to convince them to open one beach side in Ormond. By the way, the bruschetta was awesome also. Service also was fantastic. read more

Following a great day at the beach I took my three adult kids now residing in NYC and Brooklyn to BHP, we were all impressed. Even though we say down 15 minutes before closing we were met with great service and more importantly excellent food. Very nice atmosphere out in the front "porch" and very fair pricing. It was good slice, not the best I have had but certainly better than most I have found since leaving New York many years ago. I will definitely be back to try other selections. My 4 star rather than 5 was due to their over-estimating how long my order would be (they had given me a fairly lengthy timeline and it was done 10 minutes sooner - but I waited in my car for a while because of it - not a big deal - worth the wait). I agree it is not exactly the NY pizza I remember from my youth, with the crispy bottom crust and the occasional big bubble of bready-dough rising above the sauce/cheeze surface. I am originally from New York and have lived in South Florida and Ormond Beach for 15 years. I haven't been able to find a great pizza place till now. Bronx House is absolutely the best pizza I've had since I moved to Florida and we have tried many places. They are my new go to pizza place. We have tried the Beast of Burden pizza, Chicken Parm hero and The Feast hero and they were delicious. We are looking forward to trying more there. You should definitely give them a try. Fooled me once, shame on you, fooled me twice, I'm an idiot. We got carryout once here and once at another establishment. When I picked up the large sausage & mushroom pizza, brought it home (in winter we're in FL but we live in a Chicago suburb), and opened it, it looked as if it was a cheese pizza and someone had accidentally sprinkled a few pieces of sausage and mushrooms on it, mostly in the middle, toward the middle and near the crust the pizza was pretty much bare. My teen daughter looked down and said "Domino's", which of course is not a compliment. This is not a review of too little ingredients, this pizza and crust tasted like chewy cardboard. We ate 2 pieces each and threw almost half of it away because we knew no one would be reheating this garbage. May write another review of Lenny's, which was only marginally better. Bottom line is, we will no longer spend money on pizza here. In fact, right now we have a Home Run Inn frozen pizza we bought at Publix in the oven. If you get near Chicago or the burbs, you should go to Lou Malnati's or Pizano's. Pizano's is my fav, but the owner's are half brothers and their father is Rudy Malnati Sr. who started Uno's there. Pizano's thin crust can't be beaten, the buttercrust melts in your mouth and the ingredients are top notch and done well. My family prefers Malnati's, but again they both learned from Rudy so there's not a ton of difference for each. We're thin crust NY people, but their deep dish Chicago is delicious as well, we just prefer thin. BTW - Don't be fooled by the online pics. My daughter showed me the pictures of the pizza and I promise you they are nothing like the pizza we got. I would also hope they didn't shaft us just because we did carryout; because I tipped them and for what they gave us it was a crime. We happened to come on the soft opening, and boy did that work out! The entire experience was five stars from walking in the doors to walking out. We were promptly greeted and had lots of choices to choose from the menu. We got a large half cheese and pepperoni pie. After ordering, we were given absolutely delicious garlic knots on the house for the opening. These knots were hot, light, fluffy, and covered in garlic just the way real NY knots should be. And the fresh and hot marinara sauce they came with was just as delicious; with a great taste and nice amount that didn't run out before the knots did. The pizza itself was nice and light, with a nice balance of cheese, sauce, and crust. Best pizza in the area without a doubt. To top it all off, we were served two delicious tasting and presented cannolis. Overall, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone wanting a taste of NY. read more
