It was rainy day, but I still wanted to come to this store. My friend who lives oversea is a fan of Brompton bikes and he told me this official store is only one store in US. He asked me to check if they have some parts that he wants. He could order online but parts of new T line aren't on website yet. Service was friendly and helpful even I didn't buy anything yet because the parts was out of stock. The thing I like about their bike are the bike can fold and new model is light weight. Even the price of the bikes is expensive but from what my friend told me, if you collect the right model, the bike can be an investment piece and value won't go down and maybe go up. Another thing of buying bike from this store is they have the mechainic team who knows very well about Brompton bikes. If you buy online you can't check the function of the bikes but in the store, they will check for you to make sure everything is perfect plus sometimes they won't charge you for after sales service. read more

Came in to learn more about Bromptons, coming from another branded folding bike owner for years, the bike functions the same, but different folding mechanisms. The associate was super helpful and let me try a tester bike. The ride was smooth and agile for city riding. The price is high for the bike, starting at around 1500$+. You are paying for a huge premium, but the bike and functionalities are great, and the fold very compact. I did not leave with a purchase however if you are in the market for a folding bike for riding in the city and being able to fold it neat and compactly stored in small NYC apartments, then go for it; make sure your budget is within range however. read more

We purchased my wife's Brompton's this month. Andrew who assisted us was not only very professional but also very intentional and personal as well in helping my wife not only in choosing the colors of the brompton but also the bag that could fit her laptop for work. My wife last cycled about 10 years ago on our trip to Malacca to a Rambutan village tour and she had a minor accident. She had been scared to cycle ever since then. Andrew was very patient and demonstrated how to open and close the brompton and allowed this to be recorded on video so my wife could use this as a reference point. Later he also recommended a bag that could fit the color of her brompton which caused her to like the brompton even more. She started off with the mindset that likely even if I purchase this for her, she did not know how often we are going to use this. As we felt it was hard for her n even myself in coordinating a 6 speed as we would have to use 2 hands, we got the 3 speed even though there are not many Andrew managed to provide us with 2 options for 3 speeds. Recently after our first cycle, she felt more confident and by the next cycle she was able to close and open the bike by herself. After we added a bobike mini seat (again recommended by Andrew) which allowed us to bring our son with us, she now recommends cycling for our outings. What amazed me is the transformation from not wanting to cycle to a cycling lover again. Even she was surprised with the shift of her mental model. Thus it is only right that this commendation be given to Andrew and his team in the areas of service given in the areas he and his team can control. I see sometimes they are bashed on Facebook for not having enough Brompton's and long wait times however this is a worldwide problem and we have to accept that they can only do best in the areas they can control. Well, since this store front replaced an old school staple Italian restaurant that I used to love, I had to stop in. Plus, these bikes are really cool. I own an electric bike already and have for 5 yrs, but it doesn't fold down like this. Basically, you're going to pay about $3,200 for the 2 speed and $3,800 for the six speed. The young man that helped me gave me a full demo of how it works and folds down. The battery pack is unbelievably small, compared to my own bike! I think they might do rental also, but definitely do repairs which is really convenient. I just really like the technology. Maybe if the govt sends out some more free money I'll consider this as a treat. Otherwise, I'll keep watching. A fun shopping experience! read more

After a very bad experience at my local bike shop getting a saddle swapped out on my Brompton, I don't think I would ever go anywhere else (willingly!) to service my beloved Brompton. Both my husband and I bought our Brommies here (does anyone else call them that? or is it just us? LOL) and have received really great service overall. Parker, the manager, is a great resource. And thanks to Mark (apologies if I'm getting your name wrong!) for fixing my saddle and getting me back on the road - it turned out to be missing a part (grrrrr) that the repair person at my LBS had just...forgotten to put back in! Bought $6000 Brompton T line bike and have delivered wrong bike to me. Went to exchanged and been declined as the store policy can't returned or exchanged once bike outside of the door and touch ground. Even thought I was using my SUV to move the bike to store! Store would like change $500 restocking fee if I want to return. At the end they altered the bike without an apology. Think twice before you stepped into this shop. I took my two bikes that went through a fire incident. The bikes only suffered water sopray on them and soot on the bike body, no burn on any part of bikes. I took them to have the shop to clean and ask for estimate quote. They told there's a cost to give estimate for $45, but after I left the bike there, I found out after checking the status o estimate f quote, they told me it is $45 per bike. I wasn't sure my insurance will cover the damage, and don't want to risk to foot the additional bill of quote and cleaning fee, so I told them to just go ahead and clean. A month passed by no status, so I call and found out they won't clean because the tol mechanic will not clean if it had involved in a fire without notify me. The custom service sure is not very well together and very disappointed after the long wait without even bother Finca courtesy call. read more

I took my 13-year-old Brompton to Brompton Junction for an overhaul recently. I had taken it to other bike shops over the years to ask for work but no one wanted to touch a Brompton, so the only TLC it had gotten was me cleaning the moving parts with WD-40 every spring to get the worst of the salt and crud off.
