It's a decent place for breakfast, with a couple of caveats. I've only eaten here once, so your experience may vary. I ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich, with fresh fruit, and coffee. The coffee was a little on the sour side for me, probably a light or medium roast. I know some like that, but if I have to put creamer in it, it's not for me. The croissant sandwich was big, and very tasty. It didn't hold together all that well, so ended up eating it with a knife and fork, but still good. The fresh fruit was a little disappointing. If fresh means underripe, then it was spot on. The melons were as hard as a rock. The service was good, the pricing a little high ($17 for a sandwich and a small bowl of fruit). But then again it is Temecula.

We've dined at various Broken Yolk locations over the years. Each has the same diverse menu and same great menu options. Visited this location many times and have had Vanessa and recently Angie as servers. Both were exceptional. Always kept coffee piping hot. If it wasn't, they fixed it no questions asked. It can get crazy busy any day of the week. Be prepared for a wait especially on weekends. The team keeps the wait as short as possible tho. Once seated, the team is always personable and friendly with prompt service. Keep on Yelp'n!

From the moment we walked in, the experience was exceptional. We were seated immediately with no wait, which set the tone for a smooth and enjoyable visit. The restaurant itself has a beautiful, cozy vibe--simple décor done just right. Nothing feels overdone, yet it creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Everything was spotless and clearly well maintained, and the entire staff was friendly and attentive. Parking was also a breeze with plenty of spaces available in the shopping complex. Now for the food--absolutely outstanding across the board. The chilaquiles were a highlight, featuring an amazing salsa with just the right depth of flavor and perfectly seasoned carne asada that complemented the dish beautifully. The tostadas were cooked to perfection: crispy and sturdy, holding up well before soaking in the salsa while still maintaining great texture. The avocado toast had an excellent consistency and was mildly seasoned in a hearty, satisfying way that let the freshness shine without overpowering it. For something sweet, the Nutella crepes were spot on. They were cooked just right--neither overdone nor undercooked--and had the perfect balance of sweetness without being overwhelming. Paired with a Bloody Caesar, which offered a fun and tasty twist on the classic Bloody Mary, the meal felt complete. The drink had a nice, mild spiciness, though it was a bit light on the alcohol--but still very enjoyable. A special shoutout to our server, Vanessa, who truly elevated the experience. She checked on us consistently without being intrusive, was always nearby when we needed something, and our food arrived incredibly fast. Her attentiveness and friendly attitude made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. Overall, this place absolutely delivers--great food, excellent service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a hassle-free visit. We'll definitely be coming back and recommending it to others.

Food was okay, took awhile to get served. Felt like waiters ignored us, I asked for a plate and never got one. HUGE portions, I would definitely split or share! Mimosa flight was delicious and something different to try (hence the 3 stars).

This cost fifty bucks, before tip. The coffee and sausages were the best part.

Tried this place for my birthday (brunch) last Saturday, and I'd honestly call it Mid. For being busy, the wait wasn't bad; they had a nice large location and moved people through. I liked our waitresses. That being said...I found it to be quite pricey: fifty bucks for 2 breakfasts with 1 coffee, before tip??? (Spoiler alert: the coffee and the sausage were the best parts.) Granted, the pancakes were GYNORMOUS...but TBH had no flavor. Hubby said the same about his biscuits. I actually took most of my pancakes home, and ended up just tossing them out...which is EXTREMELY RARE for me; I HATE wasting food. We told the hostess staff it was my birthday, and it basically got a yawn ( unlike the fanfare at other places). We won't be back bc there are so many other places that are so much better, for equal or much less money. Not horrible but definitely not great.

Miguel provided amazing service and food was excellent! I went on a Monday morning with a friend and there was no wait, but the weekends are another story. Get there early! I had the salmon avocado toast and added two pouched eggs. My friend, ordered American breakfast which is like a grand slam except on a higher quality scale and comes with a giant buttermilk pancake, that is off the hook, scary good. So, if you're on a low carb diet, save that baby for me! Haha. It's basically dessert after breakfast for two. They have a breakfast bar in case a table or booth is not your vibe. The restaurant was clean and booth very comfortable, windows all around with plenty of natural light. I recommend all try this restaurant at least once since there's something for everyone on the menu which consists of more than breakfast. Oh, they serve medium roast Lavazza coffee which I bought at the store for home because it tastes so smooth. Enjoy and good eats!

I came here the other day to enjoy a late lunch hour. This place offers brunch options; which could be enjoyed until 2pm. My boyfriend and I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak n Eggs with a side order of pancakes. This order was enough to feed 2 people and the brunch option was really decent. I think this restaurant is better than Denny's or IHop as well. Our waiters were really nice and there is plenty or parking. I would say the place is clean, but the workers might need to check the seats for some spilled food.

EGGS-EMPLARY FOOD! WOW, I loved my Mile High Omelette with green peppers, onion, ham, and cheese. It was light and very satisfying, perfect for brunch. I visited this location for the first time with my Mom and we had a blast. My meal came with wheat toast and a side of fresh fruit. My Mom and I asked for a side order (my favorite part of the meal) of short stack pancakes. The fluffy short stack pancakes (quantity of 2) were topped with banana slices and a bit of butter. Everything tasted great! I love that Broken Yolk has fun glasses for their drinks, my orange juice came in a tall, thin glass with a perfectly sized straw. Overall, the restaurant was tidy and our silverware was ready upon arrival. My only suggestion is that the restroom should be checked more frequently, there was toilet paper on the floor and a mess of water by the sink. The manager was very attentive! Additionally, our waiter was super polite and friendly. Shout out to Josue P., he was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave a great short stack recommendation. I loved the professional staff and service. Broken Yolk is near the freeway and not too far from the Temecula Promenade, it's centrally located.

Came here as a pit stop to a wedding rehearsal to pick up some breakfast. We ordered the fiesta burrito - it is a wet breakfast burrito so we ordered the salsa on the side. I can't put my finger on what was missing but it was overall mediocre leaving me craving something with more flavor. I was deciding between this burrito or a breakfast sandwich and I immediately regretted my decision in choosing this burrito. Staff were very friendly, we were greeted immediately and they kept checking in on us as we waited for our food. Very attentive.

We've been here many times, but SO DISAPPOINTED of my last visit because of my food, I ordered BLT sandwich, they prepared it, SO STINGY ingredients of my BLT sandwich & side of sweet potato fries! Bacon-not crispy! Lettuce-one piece of not fresh lettuce (wilted)! Tomato-0ne slice of tomato & same not fresh! Bread-I asked the server for light toast of my bread, but gave me a hard toast bread! So, I told the lady who brought my food, that I requested for light toast! So, it was replaced, but bread tasted not fresh, too!!!! Sweet potato fries-serving very little, looks like.... it was reheated from microwave only & was not cooked fresh!!!! Service-as always...the server was busy with each customer! Best server when I first visited this Temecula location, his name was Miguel (very attentive/always checking us)! Ambience-standard restaurant, music was kind of loud, customers talking, etc.... Use to be a big fan of Broken Yolk, but these past couple visits have been lacking. Let me say the restaurant provides good service and is very clean. My issue is with the food handling. This last visit they gave me a dish with very bruised avacado and mushrooms were not cooked well. This food is very over priced, for one meal with drink came to the total of $45. I'd rather take my business elsewhere. I shouldn't need to order a mimosa flight to make my meal tasty... Gross. read more

I've been to broken yolk before and was happy, and I cant complain too much... they sat us quickly, they are a large restaurant so it's no problem not having a reservation usually. The service and staff were super friendly, and the food came out a little slow but still within a reasonable time. The place was clean and cute inside. The biscuits and gravy are amazing, I got a half/ side order of it and it was large but I loved my leftovers of it the next day. Coffee is bottomless. My only complaint- I got the pick 2 eggs Benedict, which is a great option if you have a hard time deciding between 2 things, but the eggs were like hard boiled not poached. For us eggs Benedict fanatics, we order them because it's not something you'd usually make at home, but I can make a hard boiled egg at home LOL. Either way broken yolk has many food items and I enjoyed coming here in the past, was just a little disappointed this time in the not-so- poached egg. read more

This was my second time here. I would say overall it is a good breakfast option in the area. Customer service was great, my waitress Angie V. was exceptionally amazing, kind not to mention beautiful. So service gets a 5 star. Unfortunately the meal is ordered was maybe a 2 star. I chose this particular me because I had a chance to taste it at another Broken Yolk in Ranco Cucamonga Ca. And it was excellent. However the same plate at the Murrieta location was missing something, I cant put a finger on it. But I can point out that the potatoes were ither over cooked or refried. Yes my waitress did ask if all was well, I elect not to complain, after years in the military, I learn to stomach horrible food, besides I don't like wasting. Broken Yolk is still on my thing to do list, because there's other choice on the menu. read more

We stumbled on this place after putting gas at Costco in the area. The service was fast for a Saturday. We were seated right away and our server, Carmen was great and attentive. good coffee and the red sauce Chilaquiles are a must try. Sope Benedict's was a 1st so had to try. They were good but the chilaquiles were better. The booths are spacey and the overall place is big and the tables are not overcrowded. read more

We had an amazing experience at Broken Yolk this past Saturday morning! We were in town for a soccer tournament and decided to give this place a try -- and we're so glad we did. First off, the restaurant itself was fantastic. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We'll definitely be coming back since we visit the area often. Now, the real reason for this review: Josue, our server, absolutely knocked it out of the park. We were a party of 18 on a busy morning, and he handled everything flawlessly. He took all of our orders without any issues and got everything to us quickly and accurately. What really impressed us was his attention to detail -- refills, extra napkins, straws -- nothing was overlooked. Even with such a large group, he managed to split all of our checks without any confusion or delays. Time flew by, and before we knew it, two hours had passed! She is always very welcoming and has suggestions on what to get if your stuck between the menu! Javier served us our drinks and made friendly small talk. We were served our food by Kayla and Tyrus, which came out super quick! They always make sure to ask if we need anything else before we begin eating, which if you forget a sauce or need dipping ranch, they got your back. Me and my fiancé love the broken yolk it's our number one go to place to have breakfast. A lot of the servers know who we are and what we order because we go there so often. We've always had a great experience here. This is place is seriously amazing. We always order the golden state benedict and a Bloody Mary. We recently had a super awesome server named Julie, we were so excited because she was once our server at a sushi restaurant long before and when we seen her working at the broken yolk we knew we were going to have amazing service. She is the sweetest and kept checking in on us to see how we were doing, she knows how to treat her guest and goes above and beyond for them. My kids and I love eating here for breakfast. Today 9/15/24 we went in and had breakfast. The food was great and the service was amazing. Today was the second time we got Brittany the waiter. Let me tell you that she is an amazing person/waiter. She is on top of her job. Always on top of keeping your drinks refilled. I love that she does her job always with a smile on her face, even when they are really busy. Always coming by every 5 mins to check everything is good. Now the food is delicious. I went with the California omelet and it was fresh, filling, and flavorful. The portion sizes are no joke--you definitely get your money's worth. Service was friendly and fast even though it was busy, and the vibe inside was relaxed and family-friendly. The coffee kept coming and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. Only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the wait to get seated was a little long, but that just shows how popular the place is. We decided to go to Broken Yolk after our son's soccer game. We were pleasantly surprised that our wait was only going to be 20 mins. We actually waited about 10 or 15 mins so it was great. We were seated and our waitress came over quickly and she was very attentive. The food was great. I inhaled my sopes. The wife had red chilaquiles. She usually gets green and absolutely loved them. My mother in law had a skillet and it was great. My son had a pancake and bacon. He usually doesn't eat it all but he ate most of it. Overall we love coming to Broken Yolk. Our waitress, Brittany, made it that much better so shout out to her. We'll definitely will be coming back. We're glad it's so close to our house. read more

We have frequented broken Yolk many times without disappointment. Hoe er that changed today. We sat at counter (first time) and had horrible service. Took way too long to get menus. Then way too long to place order. My food came out way past the time my wife was finished. Requests for refill of tea or extra dressing were so slow to happen it was as if the server had not been there. When reminded she acted like we were unreasonably asking her to help us. She was the first to blame others. So disappointing. If this had been out first visit we would not be back. Fortunately all other visits were nearly ideal. Chalk this up to a bad day or a new server that needs a different job but we will be back. read more

We stopped in this past Sunday morning for breakfast to try the new place in town. We were very disappointed. I ordered poached eggs with french toast and bacon, my mother ordered the same special with scrambled eggs while the kids both ordered grilled cheese. The poached eggs were barely room temperature while my moms scrambled eggs and the grilled cheese were cold. The service was terrible as we both had coffee and no one stopped by to refill our cups until AFTER she came by to pick up my money for the check. I let our waitress know I was not happy and she apologized but I know we will not ever go back. Lesson learned- We'll stick to Mo's Egg House. read more

So glad we decided to stop by our local broken yolk in Temecula! Our champagne, food, and ambiance were great. It would not have been the same without our amazing server Brittany! She was so patient with our 13 month old, while he had several melt downs. Everything was brought out on time, and she checked on us frequently. Since I requested the hollandaise sauce on the side, she offered the Sriracha on the side which I'm grateful for because I over read that in the description & was planning on sharing it with our son. We used to come here all of the time without any issues. Unfortunately, service has become unfriendly. They advertise "bottomless" mimosas but after our group had two of them on our last visit, the waitress stopped coming around and eventually, we were able to flag her down. We asked if we could have another round, and she actually stated that she had intentionally stayed away from our table (of regular customers), to pace us on our drinks! Do not advertise bottomless anything, if you are going to rip off your customers and not hold true to what your menu says. We will not be back! Go to Annie's instead if you want better food and hospitality! read more

The wife and i came here for a nice breakfast and left with high regret asked for a1 sauce when i got my food but the first person i asked forgot and i had to ask the busser to help. busser was nice my steak was over cooked and eggs were cold. asked for Med Rare and got well done the guacamole on my wife omelet was brown all over when the lady with pink hair came by to ask how our food was she left before we could respond the server was nice and apologetic but we were in a rush and had to go so we couldn't wait for our food to be remade didnt feel like the same experience we had last time we were in California read more

As we are new in the Riverside area we thought we would give the place a try. Great choice! The food was great.the service was also great. On that note the food on our second visit came out a bit cold. I mentioned this to the waitress. Dawn came to our table and To our surprise we were comped for the meal. And given a card for a free entrée. Excellent customer service. We came back earlier this week and Dawn was our waitress. She was delightful! Great service and funny.The food was delicious as usual. Large portions we always take home food. This will be or I should say is our go to spot for breakfast. read more

Our breakfast at the Broken Yolk Cafe was delicious as always. I tried something new, deciding on the Boarder Benedict. If you like perfectly poached eggs, the flavor of peppers, and the texture of crunchy meat, then this dish is for you. We also prdered our Go-To country fried steak and eggs. The mimosa and coffee also hit the spot this morning. Kayla was our server for the morning. She was sweet and knowledgeable on the menu items. She was also on top of refills. Overall, great job! I've been a mom to a kid with food allergies for 8 years now, it's been hell trying to take them out and make them feel like theyre part of having a good breakfast/brunch. But today was literally a life changing moment for us. Broken Yolk Cafe had Just Egg vegan egg substitute. For the first time in 8 years as a family we shared a breakfast meal out on the town. I'm really grateful for the options here, and the smile it provided my child. Came for Sunday Brunch. It was busy, but the wait was only about 20 minutes. Once we were seated, our server, Brisa, came and got our drink order right away. She was friendly and attentive w/o being overbearing. Food was delicous! We had Ranchero skillet. Very good. No complaints. I've had the broken yolk out in San Diego a few months ago & I wasn't so pleased with my dish nor the service but I thought I would give it another shot out here. I came in here a few days ago & boy oh boy... This particular location & breakfast restaurant is probably my number one go-to spot. I was pleasantly surprised with the food & service. I ordered the sope Benedict & it was deeeelicious. Our server, julie was so helpful & patient with us while ordering. She checked up on us often to make sure everything was okay. Very sweet girl. We went to the broken yolk for my best friend's birthday and it was amazing Brittany was the most amazing server she got our mimosas exactly right and we're hard to please because we want orange juice and pomegranate in our mimosas. We had the tiki toast the biscuits and gravy and the California eggs Benedict and it was all amazing and because it was her birthday they gave her a muffin we cannot recommend this place highly enough if we had more time we would've down the flights of mimosa but we had to get back home so we only had two each and they were amazing read more
