My family and I stopped by to pick up a quick bite to eat before heading to goblin valley, we were told it would be a 20 minute wait. After an hour of watching many other groups (which came after us) be called in first to sit down we were finally seated after asking the hostess three times about our table. Then we spent another 20 minutes before our server even came to our table. She wanted drinks and food orders then!! We ordered our food and our appetizers showed up fairly quickly. But then continued to wait for our food order. After spending over 2 hours at Th is place we still have yet to see our food!!! Let me start by saying that the service was outstanding, but the food was a let down. The guacamole was pre-made/not fresh, the lemonade was Minute Maid powder and the kids chicken tenders were out of a bag. My hamburger was a pre-made/frozen patty. I really wanted to like this place. Had the pastrami burger that according to the menu is "loaded" with bacon and pastrami. 2 slices of bacon and 2 slices of pastrami is not what I call "loaded" but all in all it was a good burger. You have choice of sweet potato fries, reg fries or onion rings. We chose onion rings and were advised they were out which told us they were not made in house. . My opinion is if you are going to offer them as an option they should be made in house. Would be better and cheaper to make then premade frozen. Service was quick and excellent. read more

Sitting here as i typing this review. Parties of 8 and of the steaks are decent, no issues there. But the briskets and the ribs are under the heat lamps too long, chewy and hard like beef jerky. Mentioned to host and i think owner came and ask how's was the food and told him that it too dry. Minutes later a redemption plate came (see pix of brisket comparison) and the brisket is much better. For a restaurant the amount of items that weren't available from the menu was unacceptable. Nearly half the items were out by 6pm. If they advertise on the internet their menu they should advise diners before they are seated that the menu is limited. Even the special on the board was no longer available. As a result I would say this is a very poorly run establishment with inefficient logistics management and as a result delivers poor service. Not a very consumer oriented business and one to avoid. read more

This was from the beginning to end a spectacular evening of fun and delicious food. Our waiter Brandon was fun and educated on the menu and provided great recommendations and service. The wedge salad was perfect, we had a couple of brisket sandwiches that were fabulous! The meat was tender, delicious and served on one of the best rolls I've ever had. It's also a great place that you can take as little or as much time as you like. Service is very fast, but they do not hurry you along. I will go there again next time I'm through Moab! read more

Our family of 5 had our first experience last night here and it was great! The atmosphere was great! The outdoor games to play while you wait were a welcome break! The food was all very good! I had the Wagu it was cooked to perfection. The portions were large but, not overwhelming. I had a bite of my daughters cheese burger and it was so good! My husband had the brisket and said it was delicious. Two of our kids got fettuccine and gave it a "10". We each had a beer and they were also very good. I typically lean toward wine, the wine list was good as well. We will absolutely be back this week while we stay here. read more

First, the ambiance and outside yard games are great. However, that's not why most choose a restaurant...we ordered the Wagyu steak and it was not good, simply put. I have tried several varieties of Wagyu and this was by far a huge disappointment. The taste was off and there was so much gristle. I even questioned if it really was Wagyu. I made mention of it to our server and her response was not what you'd want to hear when paying over $30 for a steak..."you'll have to come back tomorrow and try something else." Uh, no! Then, as they were clearing the table the woman was asked to hold on and was asked for a plate back for my 2-year old grandson-she walked off. The server was standing right there and was promptly asked to stop her to which she replied, "it's too late." For being in the food industry with direct customer contact, she seemed to lack a lot of customer service skill. That and mediocre food is why we won't go back or recommend the Broken Oar. read more

Horrible service! Can't say that loudly enough. Seated on patio. Menus brought to us and watched two other tables seated after us. Then see their waters brought to the table and orders taken. Then see drinks delivered. Still no waiter. Not even waters on the table. After going inside to ask for service someone shows up. We order everything at once. Drinks and food. Another long wait and we get drinks but the beer my wife ordered is out. Order another beer. See our waitress taking multiple orders at tables but no beer for my wife. Finally she comes over to drop off appetizers and says her second beer is out. Another long wait and finally my wife gets a beer 45 minutes after we arrived. Does not matter how the food even tastes. The potatoes were grossly over salted as well, the asparagus (usually my favorite) was like trying to chew a woody reed, I could only eat the tops. I inquired about the long wait for a brisket meal and was greeted with a smart remark from Mirella my server. Later we received or meal and noticed my wife's pork was cooked correctly.
