Great place that I stumbled across while walking in the area. It was a short visit to the area but I'm glad I saw the sidewalk sign that said "yes we are open". After all, I was killing time before a Bucks game and this was just the place to do so. The brewery was very clean and welcoming. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. We got so caught up in Sports talk, I had quickly downed 2 beer flights. Can't wait to return when I'm in the area again. read more

Not nearly enough baseball stuff in the bar, considering the entire brewery is baseball themed. I've seen more baseball swag at Applebees. Beers were just OK, and the names were amusing, but there are better offerings around the city. One of the bartenders just had an attitude about him the whole time. Did not feel very welcoming. TV situation was subpar, and they were tuned to things like jeopardy and college basketball.... Really? A baseball themed brewery doesn't have at least one TV just on MLB Network autoplay? Some very questionable decisions all around. I REALLY wanted to love this place. I love beer, and I love baseball, especially the Brewers, so this seemed like a can't miss offering. New location is much spacier! Love the location, the dogs, and the space. Beer is just okay, and no outdoor space which sucks for those summer days. Staff were friendly and they have a peach seltzer which is tasty and nice for the non beer drinkers (yes, it's hard to believe but they do exist!) No food but plenty of walkable spots for some grub. Loved the baseball theme. Nice space, lots of room. If you are looking for a flavorful beer that is not too heavy I recommend the 42. This place had the most incredible men's room out of any bar I have been to in Milwaukee. Every detail, from the overall cleanliness, to the toilet paper stand, to the decorative wall covered in throwback baseball cards was impressive. Great beer with good variety. Went the other day with my fiance and we each had flights. Some of the beers have a very strong flavor, so the flight was nice to have a little bit of each. Tables are spaced far apart so it fell safe Covid-wise. Friendly and helpful staff and decent prices as well. Would recommend to anyone who hasn't been yet. read more

Cute spot, nice service. Tried a flight and the standouts were the While We Wait and the Straight Chedd. It's low key spot to try some local brews. They have actual brewing going on in the same space, which makes the place smell a little damp/yeast-y (? not a huge beer drinker I'm not sure what the actual smell is... perhaps it's basement poor ventilation combined with beer making combined with a bit of mustiness from being crowded) which took a moment to adjust to. Overall this is a cute and cozy spot in the Third Ward, but nothing to write home about. read more

Been here a few times. Beers are good but the customer service is freaking amazing! Came here for their anniversary party with some friends. Their credit card machine was acting wonky so I ended up paying g cash for our drinks. Well, their card machine ended up charging me 3 times. When I called I spoke with Tim who was very apologetic and said he would work on a refund right away. Long story short after our banks couldn't get the refund to go through, Tim reimbursed me himself Such a stand up and cool guy. I highly recommend coming here to give this place a try. Seriously some of the best customer service I've ever had. Also, the space is cool and has a nice feel to it. read more

Beers were good, nice space. But we kept getting a musty smell.

A great selection of interesting tap beer, with the option to take some cans to go. Try a sample or order a flight. I liked corre corre and Ricky beers. But you can get a little sample before you try. There was some seating outside but seems like always a baseball game on inside. Dog friendly. Bartenders were very helpful and attentive on a Saturday afternoon. There are English dart boards in the corner and indoor whiffle ball field for rent so I will have to be back. And it might seem like a minor thing, but sound volume was perfect for background music. You could hear it and enjoy it, but still have a normal conversation without yelling. read more

We were a bit hesitant to visit Broken Bat because we're not really "sports people," but I'm so glad we did! The atmosphere is very relaxed and everything inside is tastefully done. Our bartender was one of the owners, and he was super friendly. We tried four of their beers and liked every single one, although the double IPA was especially delicious. We were able to bring our dogs, there was a young couple there with a baby, and an older couple who came just to watch the game. It's just a really chill, nice place with great beer. I've stopped in a couple times when visiting from out of town and have received friendly service and delicious beer. For only being open less than a year this spot seems established and like they know how to brew good beer. The theme is really unique and I like the large variety of beers they have. My favorite has been their Apricot pale and the imperial stout. read more

The place has a good vibe and a nice selection of beers. But when my husband and I went here on a recent Saturday, there were no fewer than 4 dogs inside. My husband is allergic to dogs and began sneezing uncontrollably. We had to leave after a quick beer. I realize people love their dogs but when dogs prevent other people from also enjoying a place, I think it's unfortunate. read more

Upon entering the bar no one said hello or aknowledged us. I understand if it were busy but it was a Sunday late afternoon with 3 other people. Strike 1. We grabbed a table, which had a nice cool puddle of spilled beer all over it. Strike 2. No one came to see what we wanted to drink let alone wipe up the beer. After waiting 15 minutes we decided to head over to the bar to place an order. Strike 3. Beer was ok but nothing special. We stayed until close, tv's turned off no one said anything for last rounds, the waitstaff and bartenders just left...should of helped our selves to behind the bar! Go to the other fine establishments throughout milwaukee and be appreciated as a customer because there many broken things here. Game Over! read more

I like the space and love the Third Ward location, but the beer just isn't good at this point, and they have way too much competition in the area pumping out great beers to make it worth the trip. The Double IPA was decent, but the single was an absolute mess, and the Mint Porter was unidentifiable both as a porter and having mint.
