Where do I begin? We start by being seated. No menus, no high chair for the baby. Then we get a really rude waitress who sees me picking filth off of the glasses. She just swipes the glass out of my hands, says nothing, and leaves us short on glassware. The place was busy, so I understand that service is going to be slower than usual, but it took 20 minutes to ask if we wanted drinks. We ordered and it took another 30 minutes to tell us that the food was almost ready and to just hang tight. 15 minutes later - the same story. ONE HOUR and FIFTEEN MINUTES before we got our food. No silverware at the table. The missed some of the order on top of all of this. A salad was comped and we got a discount. The food was good, not great. So that's to their credit. But saving 15 bucks was not worth missing the firework show with my family. The waitress was even snarky about the kids so overall I would say they don't deserve my business. This place is amazing! I've been dying to try this place for the last couple of months. My boyfriend and I finally made it in last week. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive. I ordered the sangria, which was delicious! We has such a hard time ordering food because everything sounded so yummy. We ended up ordering off the specials menu. We ordered two appetizers, the scallops and the caprese salad, bother were excellent. For dinner, we ordered the steal special and the parmigiana special. Again, both were incredible. We also ordered desert, which we were told are all homemade. The desert lived up to our expectation! I loved this place so much, I brought my parents there a couple days later. A rare find. I have eaten at this restaurant several times and it is refreshing to have a venue that is consistent and will prepare what you want to eat, besides the specials; I usually have a seafood entree and the various varieties of seafood are cooked at the precise length of time so that everything comes together perfectly. The pasta is made in house and is fantastic. The owner is warm and welcoming and everything is prepared as you order same, and the ingredients are fresh and of excellent quality. The deserts are a treasure which make the experience that much.more exciting. The wait staff is extremely attentive which makes the experience that much better. Quite & flavorful Enjoy great food, a menu with a selection for everyone, professional service and quiet dining area. Reservations are strongly recommended especially on weekends. I had one of the specials ... lamb shank. Just like mom made, it fell off the bone. I would have liked more veggies but I know next time to ask for no starch and double veggies. Delicious food, nice service, and very reasonable prices. I had the prix fixe for lunch, and they were very accommodating to my request for a vegetarian variation. Let me start off by saying I hate to write a bad review, because anyone can have an off night or make a mistake. Anyway, my wife and I walk in, the place is clean enough but has the most generic decor, it's slightly cold and two or three people walked over to us and asked us if we wanted drinks. One of whom was our waiter. She had on the most wrinkle shirt in the world. She really looked like she just got out of bed. We get our menus, and again two or three people walk over and ask us if we are ready to order. My overpriced fish arrives, and it's cold. Again, anyone can have an off night but I need to send my dish back but at this point, no one can be found. Finally a busboy comes by, and I handed my dish to him. The rest of the wait staff is standing in the corner talking to each other. My fish is returned and it is still cold. Another, waiter walks over to our table and starts to explain why the food was cold! Like it was my fault. He offers no apology or compensation. Anyway, I would NOT recommend this spot. read more

We explored the "Famous Nyack Street Fair" today & due to 50 degree temps, wind ,& occasional rain, we ducked into the Broadway Bistro just by luck. Our bartender Kenny took excellent care of us ( not always easy to find Honey Jack Daniels) & we got the chance to meet the owner John. My girlfriend & I shared the Pasta Pancake with shrimp app and a Caesar salad at the bar (excellent!). Can't wait to go back ! read more

We had a great meal at the very nice bistro tonight. Food, service and decor were fantastic. We wandered in just between lunch and dinner at about 4:15PM and the barman told us to either stay for a drink or explained where some of the local highlights were until the dining room opened at 5PM. When we returned we were greeted by our extremely pleasant and professional masked waitress, Jennifer. Incidentally this place was very Covid19 compliant. The prices were very fair, We all opted for the $35 price fix meal. The 3 course meal had delicious full sized portions and terrific choices, not the cheap items. Appetizer included choice of mussels, pumpkin ravioli with pancetta, 2 soups and a few others. The entree offered, lamb shank with great risotto, flat iron steak, bronzino, seafood pasta and other items, for dessert pumpkin pie, cheese cake, chocolate cake, all very delicious and beautifully decorated. I guess you figured by now we really liked this place. All aspects are legitimately 5 star. Try this place you'll love it. Have came to this place about 4 times now, and everytime I leave I wonder why I don't come more often. The three course lunch for $20.95 is a steal! We arrived at 9:30 pm on a Saturday night with a party of five after a horrible experience at a neighboring restaurant that same evening. We were a party of 5 ladies . We were seated immediately and received immediate service. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating (one guest in our party was GF - another pregnant). The wine list had some great affordable options . The food came out quickly and was all delicious. Several of our group ordered a seafood special with squid ink pasta and were raving about it. It had a nice kick to it and was flavorful. I ordered a halibut dish which was good as well. Desserts were tasty- especially the orange Creme brûlée. Service was fantastic . We were not rushed even though we arrived late. I was at the location years ago when it was another restaurant (lanterna) but this was my first visit at broadway bistro. I have been waiting for an opportunity to try Broadway Bistro. Last night I made my way across the Tappan Zee during rush hour to meet a friend for dinner in Nyack. This fun little town along the Hudson has so many eateries and I was tempted to chose something else because my friend is vegetarian. The menu offered plenty of options so we committed. What a wonderful experience! We loved everything! The food, the atmosphere, the music, the service and the dessert. OMG the dessert. We had the Sautéed Shrimp and Seared Sea Scallops. Tonight will be the second Friday in a row eating at the Broadway Bistro. That tells ya something. After a nice drink at the bar, I had that pasta pancake with the shrimp appetizer. Not only was this a quite different, original and a creative dish, but it was excellent, This is the signature app. Its angel hair pasta designed into a pancake with beautiful seasoned to perfection shrimp layered on top. Will have it once again tonight. For my entree I had the parpadelle with ragout. The parpadelle was homemade and I can tell the difference when it is out of a box. This clearly was not. . Topped with a tastymeat ragout was delicious. The dessert was the marscapone cheesecake. Easily one of the best deserts I have ever had. We did not need to go back to the city for an amazing affordable meal right in Nyack . I can not leave off the polite great service from all the staff including the bar tender for our pre meal drink. I was there for the first time in March to celebrate my birthday and I enjoyed it so much that I took my whole family there in April for my dad's 80th bday (a party of 7). They were very accommodating and though the restaurant is more on the small side we fit nicely in the back. My dad is a tough Italian (who still makes his own sauce every Sunday) to please food wise. Not only did he love his meal, everyone did. My sisters are picky and loved their home made macaroni and sauce. Everyone ordered a dessert and they were all to "die for". I would highly recommend this place. I plan on going back again very soon and it really was not expensive considering some other Italian restaurants in the county cost more and is not as good. read more

Unimpressive. I really had high hopes for this place, but I was very disappointed after visiting them for lunch. The mojito that my mother ordered was poorly made and certainly not worth $10. The goat cheese and beet salad was very disappointing, with large chunks of poorly pickled beets. My girlfriend and I went out to eat here with another couple on Saturday. The evening started out great. Our server Jordan was funny, attentive and an overall a very good time. We each had multiple drinks and ordered five dinners between the four of us. The service was great and the food was delicious. However the end of the evening was a different story. We over heard the owner mercilessly belittling one of his staff members. He was calling the employee names and threatening their job. I'm not sure why he would do this because all the staff members seemed like they were on top of their game and quite frankly no one deserves to be spoken too like that. The service and the food were excellent however my friends and I will never again eat at this place because of how disgusting the owner spoke to his employees. It was literally disgusting and we were completely turned off. Worst of all a couple minutes later he came over to our table and was laughing and joking with us as if nothing even happened! If you want good food and even better service then this is the place for you but it isn't the place for me because I do not respect people who are nasty to others. Do not support this establishment. I honestly would have said something to the owner about it if I wasn't so afraid of him lashing out at me or the people I was with. No one should have to pay this much money to go eat somewhere to listen to yelling and hostility. It's a shame, if he had taken the night off each one of us would have highly recommended the place. What a wonderful place! I had the great pleasure of dining here last night and can't wait to go back! Hostess Melissa was so pleasant when we called for a reservation and even more so when we arrived. Our server Jane was great as well. We enjoyed some delicious bread and a bottle of wine while looking over menu. The duck/mushroom/goat cheeee appetizer was amazing! Both entrees were great especially the lobster and fennel ravioli. Espresso, Baileys Coffee and home made grape sorbet was the perfect ending. While not a fancy place this really was a great, comfortable, relaxing spot with perfect food and service.
