As an American Airlines EP Member and One World Emerald, I was denied access to this BA Lounge. It states publicly at the BA website that One World Emerald members flying that day are granted admission regardless of booked class flying domestic or international. I was denied access because I wasn't flying internationally, but flying domestic 1st Class on AA. I have escalated this to the Executive Platinum Liaison Group who confirms that I should not have been denied admission. I was considering fly BA direct from Austin to Heathrow, but no longer! This is a clear embarrassment for British Airways disrespecting One World Emerald members from a founding member of the One World Alliance...AMERICAN AIRLINES! read more

We enjoyed hanging out in this lounge while waiting for our flight to LHR. The staff was very friendly, the lady checking us in actually gave us a quick tour of the facility. The bar is quite nice and the food was great. We'll continue to return! read more

This is the British lounge at IAD. They take priority pass. It's nice, quiet and not crowded but the breakfast food was lacking. They had the standard continental items like pastries, cereal , and fruit but no eggs or other dishes like at other airlines. People were nice. read more

Trying out a non-United/star alliance lounge for the first time. Not bad at all considering you don't get full access to the BA lounge as a non-passenger. There's wine on tap, beer, soda, juices and espresso machines. There's continental breakfast offerings of pastries, fruit, cereal and oatmeal. Nice comfy seats, clean bathrooms with showers available if you ask up front. No liquor so no early morning cocktails. Note that access is limited to Priority pass holders from 6am-2pm and to Business/first class BA passengers after 2pm. read more

Between the fact that they lock the elevator regularly and almost never open on time... and breakfast is only bagels/croissants/a coffee machine that works half the time = 1 star. They "open" at 6am. I had wanted to check out British Airways Lounge the first time I was in IAD with Priority Pass, but with a night flight and BA open until 2pm for PP members, that's ok, at least I still had Turkish Airlines Lounge. The next time I went to IAD (five days later...lol), I knew the the Turkish Airlines Lounge was full of the rustle and bustle of a bunch of people there for the food but had no prior experience here. I got in at 12:10pm and they let me know that this "closed" at 2pm. When I entered there was only one other person. This was perfect for me haha. The area that's open for PP members is one long hallway area from the entrance, with computer and kitchen areas open up for use as well. Yes, they don't have much regarding food. They have some alcohol and some soda (sprite zero but no coke zero - whyyyy). They have some Oreos, mixed nuts, some jalapeno chips, and some coffee/tea. I think that's most of what their food options are haha. But it's so quiet and they have plenty of outlets here to charge not only your devices, but also yourself. What I needed. The decorations here are really nice and kinda elegant haha. Anyways, if you want food, just go to Turkish after lol. read more

Gorgeous ambiance, bland service! The B terminal lounge is quite pleasing to the eye but the hostess was very dry, snubby & uninviting. I requested a shower and unaware if my boarding time she stated there were many people ahead of me and she'd let me know if one came available. As I walked through the EMPTY lounge (as I arrived only 40 minutes after 7am time I discovered only 2 people Shari g the lounge with me. There was no food and snacks consisted of chips, apples, oranges & bananas. Although I loved the decor the customer service drove me right out the door and down the terminal to Turkish Lounge where I was kindly greeted & able to shower immediately before enjoying an amazing fresh hot breakfast. 1 Star goes out to the designer. ~Christy read more

British Airways are thieves and scaiiwags! I booked 2 roundtrip tickets with Expedia (Premiere Economy) from LAX To Hrathrow through Expedia. British Airways double charged me for my 2 tix (no small affair at a cost of over $3k). I have been fighting non-stop for over two weeksto get these duplicate charges reversed - so far with no success. Don't fly British Air. They are thieves! read more

Meh. This BA Lounge is pretty lackluster, although I'd take this over the Lufthansa lounge down the hall any day. When I walked in, there was no one at either of the check-in desks. After a few brief moments, a friendly lady appeared to scan me through. I do declare this is the skinniest lounge in all the land. Like, it is really narrow--the entire thing. There is a decent array of seating, with pretty comfy leather chairs with charging ports, a small business area with printing, and an open bar toward the back of the lounge. I didn't use the showers, but they are available if you ask an associate. The food selection wasn't all that great at 4 PM on a weekday, with cold chicken and tuna sandwiches, some fruit, cookies, and almond biscotti (quite good)--not the worst, but certainly not the best. Some hot food would have been optimal. There is a self-service wine bar with four selections. There were quite a few staff walking around checking on people, which was a nice touch. The Wi-Fi was VERY fast--like home internet speed--and connected without issues. On the whole, this place is pretty skippable but it definitely beats waiting at the gate. read more

Terrible representation of a BA lounge. There's basic offerings only (food and drink). And even then, there's dry packaged food and cold items (yogurt). No hot items, no creative drink offerings. Literally water bottles and canned drinks in the fridge. I like that there is a special entrance to board the flight directly from the lounge, but the lounge itself is a pretty sad excuse. read more

The British Airways Galleries First Lounge is open to Priority Pass members from 7 am to 2 pm then closes to reopen to BA First Class passengers at 3:30. It is located in the center of the B councourse just accros the train exit. There is an open self-serve bar with a good selection of snacks, soft drinks, wine & spirits. The rest rooms are single person only. There is only one shower that provided only one large towel that was very thick, no hand towel or wash cloth. Elemis branded soap, lotion, shampoo, & body wash were nice. See my many pictures! read more

As far as airport lounges go this one was much better than sitting in the general boarding area but lacked some of the nicer touches seen in other locations. They had a nice selection of fruit, snacks and beverages. Plenty of seats and charge ports for getting work done. If 3 1/2 was available I would have given a little more. read more

The British Airways lounge is one of my favorite priority pass lounges at Dulles airport. It's available almost immediately to your right from the escalators. For priority pass members, it's open between 7am to 2pm. There's lots of drinks and during the times I visited they mostly had light snacks like yogurt, fruits, and cookies. Drinks include wine, beer, sodas, coffee (expresso, latte, cappuccino, hot chocolate, etc). The reason I like this lounge though, is its 3 showers. You need to ask the receptionist and they'll provide a towel for you to shower, which is amazing after a long flight. I came one time at 7:30am and there was literally no-one else there (hopefully my review above doesn't jinx this though). The Turkish lounge though had a lot more people, although likely because they were serving more food options. read more

This is a nice lounge if you like pop chips, because that is basically the only food option. Good people watching from the big windows in the hallway and decent seating, but the two times I've been there the food options have been sparse. If you have priority pass, head to the Turkish lounge which is a 1 minute walk away. Smaller lounge but much better food options. read more

This lounge is what budget cuts look like. I came to get some work done, and eat before my flight. There was plenty of workspace, and decent wifi - but there was no food. Unless you count a few yoghurts and some chips It's difficult to fully express how much of a let down this lounge is. It's almost as if the operators don't want people to come. They should shut this place down and turn it into literally anything else - maybe just open seating, because that's all it's good for. read more

Customer service is complete trash! This lounge has made up its own rules!! I am not only flying first class, a Gold 75K, OneWorld Priority Emerald status AND a priority pass member; yet the completely incompetent woman at the front check-in desk decided to make up her own rules even though their website CLEARLY states that ALL of these statuses that I have met and paid for are welcome to enter! Not only does their website state this, but also on their entrance signage! This woman handed me some crumpled up piece of paper and said you can read our new rules. Clearly she is picking and choosing who she decides to allow in. Oh, and the place was nearly empty! Are you kidding me!? I will be cancelling ALL of my 2023 and 2024 British Airways flights due to this horrible interaction. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. read more

Pretty basic lounge that offers snacks and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Beer selection included some craft beer and they have even have a wine tap. Definitely catered to business travels given that there's a whole section for working on your laptop with a printer. read more

Convenient location near the gates in Concourse B. It's like a narrow long corridor with views of concourse on one end and views of the planes on other. Always have a number of staff there waiting to stock up the items. Appearance wise is clean with bar, coffee area and main courses neatly stocked and labeled. Wi-Fi is available. The British Airways lounge is really three lounges in one. There's a dedicated space for first class passengers, a pre-flight dining area dedicated for Club World (business class), and a general lounge area for everyone else with access (e.g. coach passengers with elite status). I've never been in the first class space, but the business class dining room is terrific. Eating at most US carriers' lounges usually means a boring spread of hummus, tomato soup, and maybe some stale sandwiches, at best. BA, in contrast, provided business class passengers with a beautiful hot buffet and some made-to-order options, including tempting flatbreads, pastas, stir-fry, etc. Flying to London is a short flight, so if you want to maximize your sleep onboard, BA gives you the option of having a delicious dinner before your flight. I did so, and ended up sleeping 6 hours on a 6.5 hour flight. I landed in London feeling rested and refreshed. The rest of the lounge, open to anyone with lounge access, is very inviting and feels very "British" (think dark wood, sleek lighting, etc.). The staff were uniformly professional and friendly. The main lounge area had an array of drinks, snacks, and sweets on offer. Overall, this is a great spot to relax before a transatlantic flight. read more

I was at the business lounge but can't find the business lounge for review. For business boarding pass passengers, you can get into private dinning area where plenty of different kinds of hot food items are available. There is also made-to-order section for seasonal menu. Very attentive service and food taste great. This is hard to believe this lounge is in US as most US lounges offer crackers/nuts and nibbles that you can get at Kiosk. I recommend to eat here as much as you can because BA inflight food is disappointing. read more

Came here in the morning of 1/27/2017. This is the first time I visited a British Airways lounge so I had a few questions about the lounge and wanted to ask the lady at the entrance. As I was looking at her and speaking, she started talking to another airport employee. In the middle of my sentence! She starting laughing at the other staff's joke, and just completely ignored me. Somewhere between 2 and 3 stars for me. As a Priority Pass member, I feel like a second-class citizen when I'm here, as I'm only allowed here certain hours, and even then, I'm only allowed in a certain section (that's very small) of the lounge. Oh well, total first-world problems, right? Anyway, every time I come here before AM flights out of IAD's B gates, I'm greeted by the "be back in a few minutes" sign at the front desk. Being the good citizen that I am, I wait. And I wait. And wait some more. Before I know it, 20 minutes have passed, and the receptionist just wanders back, and doesn't apologize or acknowledge the fact that she has abandoned post. Hey, I could have pilfered a bunch of M & M's and booze without you actually checking that I'm allowed to be here! :) Once you're past the gauntlet, and as long as it's before 2 PM, you're allowed in a designated section of the lounge, where you'll find one long banquet-style table if you want to do some work, and about 8 cushy lounge chairs with small tables and loosey-goosey power outlets if you want to attempt to charge a device. Snacks are light, from myriad potato chips, to apples, to candies, and trail mix. There's also a better serve-yourself liquor and beer area than other lounges, such as Delta's. Plenty of non-alcoholic beverages as well. Very quiet during the morning hours. Restrooms are (annoyingly) single serve, and seem perpetually occupied. Remember, open to Priority Pass members from 7:00 AM -2:00 PM, then get out! Re-opens at 3:30 PM for BA passengers. read more

My first experience in a Business class lounge and I have to say it was a huge disappointment. The food was ok, barley soup excellent, beer and wine selection ruin adequate. The staff non existent, the restrooms both genders filthy, hadn't been cleaned for hours. Trash overflowing, dirty dishes in the ladies room. The staff showed up when the lights went out unexpectedly but we had been there for 2 hours by than. Very disappointed in British airways lounge and lack of service and cleanliness. read more
