First time at a United Club. I dont usually fly United. The one here in DCA is a little dated. Food was limited and didnt seem like it was fresh. Probably wouldn't go back to this one in DCA.

Talk about some retro vibes of this cozy lounge. Plenty of large chairs with plugs to charge your electronics for the flight. The food selection was above average with some healthy options, including salads and protein additions. Have kiddos traveling with, or just a kid at heart? The hot cocoa and cider station are not to miss!

This is one of the smaller United Clubs that has not been updated. That said this one sends positive vibes with its 1950s retro feel. It is like stepping back in time. Additionally, it has some great airport runway views. The food is the usual and it has the basics. It also has a bar if you need something frothy. Service is pleasant on a consistent basis.

Just fine. Somewhat of a hidden place in terminal 2 by the b gates. Elevator or stairs. Your choice. Go yo the port hole door, but you have to be buzzed in. Promptly greeted and scanned in. I was there earlier, so not too many fellow passengers yet. Food selection was decent. Coffee was hot. Location is lovely. Lots of windows overlooking the flight line. Good selection at the bar for those interested. Recommended.

Still a 3 but actually rounding it up one star to a 4 based on speaking with the Sodexo MOD who answered questions why they can't remodel this club due to it being a historical site regarding the main entrance after checking in which it was a restaurant called the Terrace Room. Therefore it would take an Act of Congress to make that change as well as other local governmental entities and don't forget environmental as well. I also asked about protein food items not being held under cold holding on the service area and since the food on the self serve turns over fast any leftover food is discarded after 4 hours from when it is removed from the original temperature control unit prior to be putting out on the self serve area. Just wanted to make sure they were following the food safety guidelines since I deal with quality assurance regarding food. I had a long wait before my flight departed so every staff member was either cleaning or removing dirty small wares or leftovers as well as constantly maintaining the cleanliness of the bathrooms - sorry can only speak for the He, Him, It restrooms. This is a smaller UA Club and is limited as to what they can provide (i.e. they have no kitchen) and not updated but what makes up for their areas for opportunities is that the had a great staff working on the day that I was there .

Food is meh. More so since Covid which made pre-packaging necessary. On the positive side - having this lounge near the gate is quite convenient and a good place to hangout especially if your flight is delayed.

Meh. Not a bad lounge. Lots of seating anyway, and right next to the gates you'd be flying out of. On the other hand, the snack selection is almost nothing. It's lunchtime and they have soup, some cheese, some salsa and chips, cookies, and coffee. End list. Oh well there's also a bar!

Very nice united location. Second floor

This club is so much better than the United club in Chicago. Cleaner and better food selection. Maybe it's better because it's harder to get to in DC. At the end of the terminal and up the elevator. Not easy to drop in for a quick bite.

This is a regular United lounge in DCA. They have some snacks, not bad coffee and juice. Comfortable chais and good wine.

    Dirty martini!

This was my first time coming to this lounge today. The lounge is located in terminal B across from gate 11. You can either take the steps or the elevator. Once you come up to the front desk you are nicely greeted. I told the nice lady it was my first time here and she gave me all the information and where everything was located. She also told me they have free WiFi which I didn't realize they had which was a nice surprise. I came during lunch time and they had a chicken tequila fiesta soup. It was really good, I had 2 bowls of it lol. They also had crackers and cubed cheese among other items. I got a dirty martini which is pictured and part of the complementary offerings but they also have premium drinks for purchase. It was delish and the 2 bartenders were really nice. I like the fact they were constantly cleaning up and also replenishing items if necessary. The lounge is about medium size and love how modern it looks. They had plenty of seating and you just feel so comfortable just relaxing in the lounge. I am glad I am a United club remember and hope to visit other locations soon!

My primary lounge is LaGuardia, which is a bright, shining, new multi-million dollar facility. We're talking about getting ready to open a rooftop deck, white marble everywhere, premium fixtures, and all the bells and whistles. But then I snapped myself out of it. This isn't a huge lounge, but it does have a lot of spaces by large windows, to sit and admire the views of the Capitol. There are various types of seating--individual seats, business spaces with tables, a small quiet space for people who have meetings or need to concentrate. It's not crowded, not loud. Very understated. The bartenders are nice. Basic drink service you can expect from the average club. The food offerings are a little more sparse than the newer or larger clubs. The cheese had dried out. I didn't feel confident enough to try the sandwiches, as they had mayo on them, and I didn't feel they were at the right temp for safe consumption. They had some soup, hummus, and a couple meat dishes. The staff were very nice and attentive, keeping tables cleared and making sure we were taken care of. So is it mind blowing? Nah. But it's a quiet spot to get away from the terminal, with nice folks and some cocktails. The food could use a little work, but it was later in the day, so maybe they were winding that service down.

For early morning flyers, they offer a continental breakfast from 5-6am, but be aware that the hot breakfast buffet doesn't get fully set up until about 15-30 minutes after that window. The biggest downside for me is AMEX's updated pet policy--only service animals are allowed now. The lounge has always been my go‑to when flying out of DCA, but since I often travel with my pets, I've had to switch to other lounge options because of this change. On the plus side, charging outlets are plentiful and easy to access at almost every seat, except in the dining area. Staff members are consistently quick about clearing dishes, which keeps the space feeling clean and comfortable. The restrooms are modern, spotless, and well maintained every time I visit. A small tip: the elevator is *very* slow, so if you're able, take the stairs--it's much faster. Overall, it's still a good lounge with solid amenities and a relaxing atmosphere--when it isn't crowded. If not for the updated pet policy, it would be a five-star experience for me.

I did have to hunt for a seat, but lucked out and got one of the honeycomb-style single cubicles in the back. Also, in spite of the lounge being very busy, there was no wait for the shower. The shower was a waterfall style showerhead and also had an accessible showerhead too. Also, they were able to hook me up with a toothbrush and toothpaste. If this lounge wasn't so overcrowded, it would be an easy 5 . Overall, worth popping into if you have access.

Wait times are long as they sometimes cannot keep up with demands and limited seating areas. Sign in at the desk and you'll get a text when they have space. I waited 45 minutes. The check in area feels cramped with two podiums and way too many checkin staff crowded at the front. Once you get a text, you have 10 minutes to arrive or you may have to sign up again. Once checked in, you have an assigned seat based on size of your party. So you won't have a choice on preferred seating section. Once seated, scan the QR code on the table where you may place an order for any menu items including drinks. They also have an area with quick item snacks like cheese & crackers, hummus, veggies, meats and you can obtain your dessert items here. They offer fancy teas from Art of Tea and coffee. Paper cups available if you want to take a drink to go on your way out. Soft drinks & water available in the mini fridge. I tried the vegetarian and vegan options. The lentil soup was good and filling. Three cheese grill cheese is good but a bit too much cheese making it heavy. Also tried a rice with tofu & avocado. This was okay. Needed a sauce or some added flavor. My guava mocktail was refreshing. Hummus & veggies were good. The soft serve with cocoa nibs & sea salt was good. Comes in a cute smiling cup. There are no to-go items or take away options. So plan on staying seated to dine. There is free WiFi, charging stations at your seat, and single restroom available. I hope they add more healthy options. *** Tip - if there is a long wait time and you can't get in, they have a small cafe of quick items for sale. With a Cap One credit card, all items are half off! I got the vegan chickpea salad and a Pressed juice for roughly $12? Good deal at the airport! Coffee, croissants, and some of the items from the lounge are also sold here.

A number of recent reviews praise the lounge for its attractive design, comfortable seating, strong food and drink program, and thoughtful amenities, and that all feels quite fair. It is in Terminal 2 near the south security checkpoint, and the lounge's own materials describe it as a spacious, elegant place to relax, refresh, and have a cocktail before a flight. What I especially love are the wellness shots, the coffee machines, and the open bar. Those little wellness shots feel like the sort of optimistic airport decision one ought to make before boarding, and the coffee setup is genuinely excellent if one needs to become a person again before takeoff. The bar is also a very strong point in its favour. American Express highlights its curated cocktail, wine, and non-alcoholic drink selection, and that polish absolutely comes through. Everyone is also very nice, which makes a difference. Add in the comfortable atmosphere and the feeling that you can actually pause for a moment before flying, and it all makes for a thoroughly pleasant pre-flight ritual. A proper little oasis at DCA.

I thought our weekend was starting off odd. But I don't complain and go with the flow, so if you like it, I love it. I had my bags because we always do staycations, so with my bag in tow he meets me at the uber upon drop-off and says our dinner reservations are in Florida, hope you don't mind that's why I had you pack your bags. Okay so I've been to the Capital One Lounge and that was great but honestly AMEX is killing it! The food was actually really good! Bar is awesome! Everything was clean! It's newer so it's phenomenal! I've been told I need lounge access for as much as I travel. I immediately got on my phone to search to get the AMEX card, that's how nice this place was. Luckily he asked what I was doing on my phone. I said I need to be able to come here all year long so I'm going to throw the flag in and get a card. He laughed and said it would be easier just to add me to his account. And just like that, I'm a AMEX card holder! The card came in 3 business days. I'll be coming to this airport early! And will be looking forward to traveling this year to visit all the AMEX lounges. Amex is the way to go! Oh and a little life hack, our plan never works. Gods plan does! Grateful.

We eventually flagged down a random server in the bar area and asked if a four‑top could be cleared so we could sit there instead. Thankfully, once we moved inside, everything improved dramatically. Service from that point on was attentive and friendly. The "Peoples Hour" menu was a highlight--great pricing without feeling "cheap." Appetizers were $6-10, cocktails $6-8, wines $6, and beers $6.50. The Down & Dirty (a vodka martini variation without vermouth) was solid, and the Out of the Office...Forever rum punch was decent. For food, we tried several items: - Makers Mini Nachos with steak -- Generous toppings but the chips got soggy quickly under all the queso, sour cream, and guac, which is not necessarily a bad thing. - Taco-bout Fish -- Crispy cod with a lemon aioli; one of the better bites of the night. - Drop It Like It's Hot -- Really good chicken tenders with a spicy Comeback sauce. - Lil B sliders -- Nicely cooked and not overdone; the Comeback sauce added a nice kick. The space has an upscale sports‑bar vibe with TVs above and around the bar. Seating can feel tight when it's busy, and the noise level definitely climbs, so keep that in mind if you're looking for a quieter meal. Despite the rocky start, the rest of the evening was enjoyable. Good food, great happy hour pricing, and solid service once we were settled inside. I'd return--just probably not to the patio during a big party.
