My first time visiting this lounge and I loved it. Great menu, wonderful staff, clean, easy ordering and not busy at all when I visited. One of my favorite lounges.

IMO, the best lounge in the DMV. Mainly bc of the partnership with Jose Andres, resulting in high quality F&B. Complimentary access via Capital One VentureX. Menu via QR code. Order as much as you want straight from your phone. Doesn't get much easier. I used to prefer flying out of IAD, but this lounge is the main reason why I started leaning towards DCA. Looking forward to trying their (latest & greatest) LGA lounge in the near future, which is supposed to be even bigger & better.

Fantastic food, would say this spot is even better than the Dulles lounge which has been my favorite for the longest time. The chocolatey churro dessert thing was 10/10. We had an early flight so got mostly breakfast items and it lived up to the hype. Service was friendly and quick. Only knock is we had to wait like 5 mins to get in.

The Capital One Landing never ever disappoints. In fact, I make it a point to always now book all of my domestic flights out of DCA in order to make flying more bearable. The before flight libations and mini Michelin type tapas are just what you need for a short and long haul flights to the other coast and anywhere in the continental US. Thank the lord, Capital One had the wherewithal to team up with Jose Andres Just one tip- make sure to reserve in advance your spot so that you can avail yourself of all of the fabulous food, otherwise you will have a long wait or GASP!! not be able to get in all

You will love the tapas here! A must try is the Caesar Salad tapas. It's topped with shredded cheese that feels like you're eating air... just try it Just about everything on the menu is awesome. Since the servings are small, you'll be able to try everything! For other main dishes and drinks, once assigned a seat/table there's a QR code for the menu and drinks. You put in your order and the bring it to your seat/table... very awesome! This is definitely a reason to go to the airport early. A very comfortable place to wait and relax.

A great open cafe for those with a Capital One Venture X card. Entry is free for those with the card, for all others it is $90. A great place with small plates. The menu is delicious. I enjoyed manchego cheese, baba ghanoush, small fry, chickpea salad and much more. You can order hot items via the QR code. The service was great once inside. It was very speedy. Where I had a small issue was that at one point there was an hour wait. Which is understandable. But there were what seemed to be many empty tables and there are a lot of employees here- they all seemed to be just hanging around. So I wondered why people couldn't just be seated? Maybe there is more to the story? Who knows. A great place to visit if you are short on time. Located by D Gates

I've been here a couple times now. If you're flying from DCA and not in T1 (manly SWA) then it's worth stopping here. It's more like a restaurant format than an enclosed lounge. There's a juice and water station on tap, a regular food line that they give you, and then self service coffee + pastries. The best part about this place is they seat you upon check in, it really helps with the overall flow - no 1-person parties taking a 4-top. At the table is a QR CODE to order more hearty items. There's an iberico ham and fries thing which slapped. Note that if you're in terminal 1 then you're SOL.

I visited the store for the first time today. I ordered a cup of coffee, an OJ and a pastry. Great presentation, lovely store decor and wonderful coffee. The service provided was outstanding, they offered great breakfast choices, yogurt, snacks, and fresh pastries. I was wowed by the nice and attentive staff. Also pleasently surprised by the Capital One card holder discount and the phenomenal coffee flavor. Definitely recommended!!!

DCA has one of the best lounges I've visited and is an easy five star review. Capital One cardholders (you know who you are) can enter 3 hours before your flight departs- and you should take advantage of this benefit. Once we were seated, we scanned the QR code to order food and drinks. We ordered (at least) one of everything on the tapas menu, and you can also walk up to get more snacks like Caesar salad, charcuterie (meats, cheese, bread/crackers), and desserts. For drinks, I had two mimosas that hit the spot! The orange juice to champagne ratio was just right, and the juice used was delicious. They also offer specialty cocktails, wine, coffees, a few beers, and canned Pepsi products. The drinks menu has mocktails, and I would have tried one, except I tried the mimosa first and it was great, so I wanted another. We walked up and got right into the lounge, but you can reserve ahead of time. I would recommend this as it is a bit smaller than some lounges. If you're traveling alone, it may be easier to get in and sit in the bar area. Some of my favorite food items included the Gambas al Ajillo (shrimp) hot dish and the Bikini de Queso (grilled cheese sandwich), and my husband got seconds of the Carne Asada con Mojo Verde. The ice cream sundae for dessert was also wonderful. The menu lists if items are suitable for vegetarians, vegans, and those avoiding gluten. The Capital One lounge at DCA is quiet with great service, and an oasis of calmness between the hectic world of DC and the airport. If you can go, don't miss out!

Be sure to come here earlier or check in online because the wait time tends to be long. If you have their credit card with the perk, entry is free although I hear your guests will soon have to pay since Capital One is reducing their card benefits. Personally, I don't feel like the price non-credit card holders have to pay justifies the quality of the food. That's not to say the food is bad. It's just average food that doesn't stand out. Staff is courteous and friendly.

About a 3-3.5: I prefer this location of the Capital One Lounge - making advance online reservations is super easy and key, and the staff here have always been super friendly and attentive. I love requesting the end table, which is cozy and more private. Ordering is super easy with a QR code that you scan; the items just come out and served at your table by the wait staff. My usual go-to orders have been: +the Fresa y Piña - a non-alcoholic drink that is prepared with Lyre's Aperitif Rosso, pineapple, strawberries, and demerara +the Mocha - using La Colombe Monaco Blend; with oat milk +the Latte - using La Colombe Monaco Blend; with oat milk +the Cold Brew - using La Colombe Monaco Blend +the Eggs Benedict - a poached egg over an English muffin, dressed in a hollandaise sauce; this comes with bacon, but I opt out of that +the Lox & Half a Bagel - comes with a shmear of cream cheese and capers, drizzled with olive oil +Huevos Rotos - fried runny egg on top of crispy french fries; this comes with a paleta iberica ham, but I opt out of this +the Toast Montadito - the one with the avocado shmear, pepitas, cherry tomatoes, and sprouts +the cheeses - comes with 30month manchego, brie, goat cheese, and gorgonzola dolce, served with bread crackers and fig jam +the Olives +the Anchoas de Aceite de Oliva - Cantabrian sea anchovies, cured in salt and preserved in extra virgin olive oil +Boquerones en Vinagre - white Spanish anchovies cured in vinegar +the Baba Ghannouge & Pita chips +the Gambas al Ajillo - red shrimp confited with extra virgin olive oil, garlic, chili, bay leaf and oloroso wine; sometimes, the shrimp can be overcooked +the Chilaquiles - the tortilla chips are thick and crispy, with a tangy sauce on top +the Xuixo - a lovely filling of chocolate, covered in sugar; crisp and such a great pairing with your favorite coffee beverage I have tried: +the Flamingo Shuttle - a non-alcoholic drink that is prepared with guava, lime, and soda water +the Green Juice +the Olive Oil Pancake - with maple syrup and seasonal berries +the Pincho de Tortilla - a Spanish omelet made with confit potatoes and caramelized onions; note that this is similar to a soft quiche +the Pan con Tomate - toasted slice of bread with tomatoes +the Carne Asada con Mojo Verde - grilled hanger steak with mojo verde sauce +the Bikini de Queso - a grilled 3-cheese sandwich; the bread used is just way too thick and slightly dry for my taste +the Scrambled Tofu Breakfast Bowl - scrambled tofu with tomato and avocado I love that they have mini canned soda, to-go cups, and even cartons of water to-go; if the host/hostess is paying attention, you'll also receive a couple of dark chocolate when you exit. Using the restrooms is best when you go there first thing in the morning; otherwise, it can be better managed by the staff throughout the day. Definitely a good space to kill some time in a comfortable seating before your trip. +easy ordering system +require better maintenance of the restrooms +attentive staff

Great food and great drinks. I enjoyed the tapa size so that even a solo traveler can try out many dishes. Seems like they advertise it as a new concept of airport lounge-- definitely works out! I wonder how often they change menus because I already can't wait to revisit!

Have been back a lot since it's been a heavy travel month. However may be it's my imagination but I feel like the breakfast menu has shrunk? I don't love a lot of the breakfast dishes. The ones that continue to be my favorite are the eggs Benedict and the fried eggs with fries. Thought having such serious friend and oily foods in the morning and before flying generally isn't a good idea. The food is good just may need more selection. At the counter, I usually pick up the lox without the bagel and some fruits to balance things out. Their coffee bar meets my needs well

My primary lounge is LaGuardia, which is a bright, shining, new multi-million dollar facility. We're talking about getting ready to open a rooftop deck, white marble everywhere, premium fixtures, and all the bells and whistles. But then I snapped myself out of it. This isn't a huge lounge, but it does have a lot of spaces by large windows, to sit and admire the views of the Capitol. There are various types of seating--individual seats, business spaces with tables, a small quiet space for people who have meetings or need to concentrate. It's not crowded, not loud. Very understated. The bartenders are nice. Basic drink service you can expect from the average club. The food offerings are a little more sparse than the newer or larger clubs. The cheese had dried out. I didn't feel confident enough to try the sandwiches, as they had mayo on them, and I didn't feel they were at the right temp for safe consumption. They had some soup, hummus, and a couple meat dishes. The staff were very nice and attentive, keeping tables cleared and making sure we were taken care of. So is it mind blowing? Nah. But it's a quiet spot to get away from the terminal, with nice folks and some cocktails. The food could use a little work, but it was later in the day, so maybe they were winding that service down.

The space is a bit crowded, with every seat being occupied at most points, but the important thing is that it is clean and the bathroom is equally clean. I do wish the food and seating options were more available, but the options existing are nice enough to have a positive experience. -- Food: +1 Presentation: E Price: E Atmosphere: +1 Service: E Menu: E Overall: +2 B Insta/Beli: @amei_eats

For early morning flyers, they offer a continental breakfast from 5-6am, but be aware that the hot breakfast buffet doesn't get fully set up until about 15-30 minutes after that window. The biggest downside for me is AMEX's updated pet policy--only service animals are allowed now. The lounge has always been my go‑to when flying out of DCA, but since I often travel with my pets, I've had to switch to other lounge options because of this change. On the plus side, charging outlets are plentiful and easy to access at almost every seat, except in the dining area. Staff members are consistently quick about clearing dishes, which keeps the space feeling clean and comfortable. The restrooms are modern, spotless, and well maintained every time I visit. A small tip: the elevator is *very* slow, so if you're able, take the stairs--it's much faster. Overall, it's still a good lounge with solid amenities and a relaxing atmosphere--when it isn't crowded. If not for the updated pet policy, it would be a five-star experience for me.

I did have to hunt for a seat, but lucked out and got one of the honeycomb-style single cubicles in the back. Also, in spite of the lounge being very busy, there was no wait for the shower. The shower was a waterfall style showerhead and also had an accessible showerhead too. Also, they were able to hook me up with a toothbrush and toothpaste. Dear reader, The…read moreCenturion Lounge at DCA is a very civilised way to begin a trip and, in my view, one of the more enjoyable airport lounges to spend time in. A number of recent reviews praise the lounge for its attractive design, comfortable seating, strong food and drink program, and thoughtful amenities, and that all feels quite fair. It is in Terminal 2 near the south security checkpoint, and the lounge's own materials describe it as a spacious, elegant place to relax, refresh, and have a cocktail before a flight. What I especially love are the wellness shots, the coffee machines, and the open bar. Those little wellness shots feel like the sort of optimistic airport decision one ought to make before boarding, and the coffee setup is genuinely excellent if one needs to become a person again before takeoff. The bar is also a very strong point in its favour. American Express highlights its curated cocktail, wine, and non-alcoholic drink selection, and that polish absolutely comes through. Everyone is also very nice, which makes a difference. Add in the comfortable atmosphere and the feeling that you can actually pause for a moment before flying, and it all makes for a thoroughly pleasant pre-flight ritual. A proper little oasis at DCA.

The lounges that I've been to have been because of travel companions. The Amex Lounge was no different! My sweet friend booked breakfast in Arlington, the Pentagon area that is what he said. I thought our weekend was starting off odd. But I don't complain and go with the flow, so if you like it, I love it. I had my bags because we always do staycations, so with my bag in tow he meets me at the uber upon drop-off and says our dinner reservations are in Florida, hope you don't mind that's why I had you pack your bags. What a surprise. He says we have time to go to the Amex lounge to grab breakfast before we take off. I am speechless, literally speechless. We grab our tickets and head straight to the lounge. Wow! Okay so I've been to the Capital One Lounge and that was great but honestly AMEX is killing it! The food was actually really good! Bar is awesome! Everything was clean! It's newer so it's phenomenal! I've been told I need lounge access for as much as I travel. I immediately got on my phone to search to get the AMEX card, that's how nice this place was. Luckily he asked what I was doing on my phone. I said I need to be able to come here all year long so I'm going to throw the flag in and get a card. He laughed and said it would be easier just to add me to his account. And just like that, I'm a AMEX card holder! The card came in 3 business days. I'll be coming to this airport early! And will be looking forward to traveling this year to visit all the AMEX lounges. Amex is the way to go! Oh and a little life hack, our plan never works. Gods plan does! Grateful.

Let's start with the Sunday Brunch…read more I defy anyone to find fault with that value. First round of mimosas is expensive but the next six rounds is cheeeeap. And the selection?!?! For under $70 two people can have crab cakes benedict, fried brussels, crispy French toast... I don't even remember. Like ten different things! I didn't have to eat again until 9pm. The food was great! Vinny, who was our handler (clearly he has training in special education or something because we that table. Or maybe the TIPS trainings have advanced to include messy brunch people) was fun, patient, and knowledgeable. This is THE SPOT for brunch on Sunday.

I visited Makers Union Pentagon City for a 4:45pm Thursday reservation for four. I arrived on time…read moreand was seated outside on the patio. Unfortunately, service started off on the wrong foot. There was a very large party already on the patio, and I was seated behind them. I waited about 12-15 minutes before the rest of my group arrived, but no server ever came by. We decided to head inside to get re‑seated, but couldn't find a hostess anywhere. We eventually flagged down a random server in the bar area and asked if a four‑top could be cleared so we could sit there instead. Thankfully, once we moved inside, everything improved dramatically. Service from that point on was attentive and friendly. The "Peoples Hour" menu was a highlight--great pricing without feeling "cheap." Appetizers were $6-10, cocktails $6-8, wines $6, and beers $6.50. The Down & Dirty (a vodka martini variation without vermouth) was solid, and the Out of the Office...Forever rum punch was decent. For food, we tried several items: - Makers Mini Nachos with steak -- Generous toppings but the chips got soggy quickly under all the queso, sour cream, and guac, which is not necessarily a bad thing. - Taco-bout Fish -- Crispy cod with a lemon aioli; one of the better bites of the night. - Drop It Like It's Hot -- Really good chicken tenders with a spicy Comeback sauce. - Lil B sliders -- Nicely cooked and not overdone; the Comeback sauce added a nice kick. The space has an upscale sports‑bar vibe with TVs above and around the bar. Seating can feel tight when it's busy, and the noise level definitely climbs, so keep that in mind if you're looking for a quieter meal. Despite the rocky start, the rest of the evening was enjoyable. Good food, great happy hour pricing, and solid service once we were settled inside. I'd return--just probably not to the patio during a big party.
