A number of recent reviews praise the lounge for its attractive design, comfortable seating, strong food and drink program, and thoughtful amenities, and that all feels quite fair. It is in Terminal 2 near the south security checkpoint, and the lounge's own materials describe it as a spacious, elegant place to relax, refresh, and have a cocktail before a flight. What I especially love are the wellness shots, the coffee machines, and the open bar. Those little wellness shots feel like the sort of optimistic airport decision one ought to make before boarding, and the coffee setup is genuinely excellent if one needs to become a person again before takeoff. The bar is also a very strong point in its favour. American Express highlights its curated cocktail, wine, and non-alcoholic drink selection, and that polish absolutely comes through. Everyone is also very nice, which makes a difference. Add in the comfortable atmosphere and the feeling that you can actually pause for a moment before flying, and it all makes for a thoroughly pleasant pre-flight ritual. A proper little oasis at DCA.

The lounges that I've been to have been because of travel companions. The Amex Lounge was no different! My sweet friend booked breakfast in Arlington, the Pentagon area that is what he said. When my uber picked me up, the app said I was heading to the Amex Lounge at the airport. I laughed because I thought I was eating at the airport and airport food isn't always the best. I thought our weekend was starting off odd. But I don't complain and go with the flow, so if you like it, I love it. I had my bags because we always do staycations, so with my bag in tow he meets me at the uber upon drop-off and says our dinner reservations are in Florida, hope you don't mind that's why I had you pack your bags. What a surprise. He says we have time to go to the Amex lounge to grab breakfast before we take off. I am speechless, literally speechless. We grab our tickets and head straight to the lounge. Wow! Okay so I've been to the Capital One Lounge and that was great but honestly AMEX is killing it! The food was actually really good! Bar is awesome! Everything was clean! It's newer so it's phenomenal! I've been told I need lounge access for as much as I travel. I immediately got on my phone to search to get the AMEX card, that's how nice this place was. Luckily he asked what I was doing on my phone. I said I need to be able to come here all year long so I'm going to throw the flag in and get a card. He laughed and said it would be easier just to add me to his account. And just like that, I'm a AMEX card holder! The card came in 3 business days. I'll be coming to this airport early! And will be looking forward to traveling this year to visit all the AMEX lounges. Amex is the way to go! Oh and a little life hack, our plan never works. Gods plan does! Grateful.

You feel like you're in the rafters with views of the U.S. Capitol and Union Station's Great Hall. It's very cool! However, it's a pop up, and it feels it. The main sitting area is beautiful, but the bar area was falling apart a little. The actual bar was disconnected and literally hanging on a thread. If we put any pressure on it, it would slant down. The cocktails were okay. My friend had a negroni and I a spicy margarita. Both were decent, but with such a steep price tag, there are better cocktails within walking distance. Service was great! Our bartender was kind and efficient. I'd love for them to succeed. Because of the atmosphere and concept, I give them a four star rating. Plus, the up-close views of the Station's central atrium and glowing Capitol Dome seen throught the windows in the evenings are spectacular. Overall, it's a perfect spot for happy hour (yep, they have one), an impressive date night, or just to grab a drink before your train.

Well, my birthday is today, so I decided to go "all in" and get a ticket to the Lexus seats which brings entrance into the Presidents Club. Gourmet food, beer and wine are free, and it's served in a swanky lounge area with enough wood and marble to feel... well, presidential, I guess. In case you forget the theme, it's lined with photos of presidents throwing out first pitches (still not sure why Jimmy Carter never did), and Washington ballplayers over the years. It's full of tables, booths a bar, a pastry bar, buffet tables today featuring ribeye, pork loin, Asian slaw, roasted vegetables and other good stuff. It also has a self-serve hot dog stand and soda fountain, a giant salad bar, and the cleanest stadium bathrooms I have ever seen. It's got everything - even lockers to hold your stuff. This is the first time that I ever felt fortunate to have a rain shower in the middle of a game, as the club was open (with enough room and tables to fit everyone in the section) and I went over to the side window that overlooks the indoor batting cages to see the ballplayers keep loose. Don't get me wrong - the price of admission is step, but you get what you pay for. If I can find a (relatively) cheap ticket on StubHub sometime, I'll be back.

I came with my brother and father and we were all overwhelmed; even to the point of goosebumps. Here's our experience. We were told to enter either through the 1st base or home plate entrance. We entered at home plate and took an elevator down one level. Our tickets were scanned a second time at the entrance to the Lexus Presidents Club. When we entered we were blown away. The place is beautiful. Very nicely decorated with dark mahogany. You definitely get the feel you are in a very exclusive club. You can be seated by the hostess at a table for dinner, or eat at the bar. There is a self-serve gourmet buffet which included all sorts of seafood, NY strip steak, roasted chicken, a stir-fry section, and plenty of other options. There is also a section with more traditional ballpark fare which includes hot dogs, chicken tenders, pizza, crackerjacks, and peanuts. Then the desserts! They have a HUGE dessert display with anything you could every imagine including many flavors of gelato. It's like your own personal bakery. The bar has plenty of beer options on tap. And remember, everything is FREE! The ticket is all inclusive of food, beer, and wine. Mixed drinks can be purchased (and are cheap at $6). From the club you can watch indoor batting practice and have direct viewing access to the press conference room. When you walk outside you are just feet from home plate. All of the seats are large and padded, with plenty of legroom, and provide amazing views of the game. All throughout the game there are waitresses that walk around taking orders. You can order free beer, wine, and food from your seat. This includes an in-seat menu that has many additional things that can't be found in the club, such as nachos, cheeseburgers, sandwiches, and other concessions. The thing that amazed me was the delivery time. It only took 2-3 minutes from placing our order to someone delivering the items. You can also go back into the club anytime during the game to get food or drinks. The game was amazing and the Nationals ended up getting a win. The bar inside remains open until 45 minutes after the final pitch, with some food options such as pizza still available. This was an absolutely amazing experience and I hope to be able to do it again someday. If you are on the fence because of the high price, you should definitely do it. I can promise you first hand that you won't regret it.

Now, this definitely isn't the posh moviegoing experience I've become accustomed to. There are no cocktails being delivered to your seat or plush recliners to kick back in, but honestly, that was part of the charm. It brought back a nostalgic feeling of simply going to the movies -- grabbing your popcorn and candy, finding your seat, and enjoying the film. Even better, the concessions were surprisingly affordable! I came specifically to see If I Go Will They Miss Me, Walter Thompson-Hernández's 2026 drama expanding on his 2022 short film of the same name. I've made it a personal mission to be more intentional about supporting independent films from Black and brown creators, and this one reminded me exactly why. The film was shot beautifully. The cinematography alone was worth seeing on the big screen, but the story also pulled at my heartstrings. I thoroughly enjoyed it and was glad Angelika gave me the opportunity to see a film that wasn't available at my usual theater. The experience may be no-frills compared to some of the newer luxury theaters, but there's something refreshing about that. Sometimes all you really need is a good movie, popcorn, candy, and a big screen. I know Angelika is technically a "pop-up," but as a Union Market neighbor, I'm hoping it sticks around for a while! Having a local theater that gives smaller and independent films some screen time is definitely something worth keeping.

It was a great recipe. The next night, I got the burger and it was also excellent. Also, in terms of comedy, the comedy loft is on point. Most people don't know how much the size and the shape of the room matter but it makes a huge difference if you have low ceilings. The wings and truffle fries were almost $20 each - the exact same price as all the burgers. They only have canned cocktails and the selection is also very limited. I believe only 3 types of canned cocktails are available. There's a beer and wine menu but I'm not sure how exhaustive it is. Our food also took forever to arrive, long after the show started and we ordered about 20+ minutes before the show started. The seating is inconvenient and narrow, and tables and floors are sticky. I'm only giving it 3 stars because my cheeseburger was good and the patty was thick. I would come back for the comedy show probably but not get food or drinks. You're probably better off just getting soda for the two item minimum. I couldn't take any pictures since our food came late after the show had already started and we weren't allowed to take any pictures during the show.
