Loaded mashed potatoes - A white plate contains loaded mashed potatoes with melted cheese, sour cream, and chopped parsley, served at a restaurant.

The chicken was Hot and seasoned. The servers came to our table in the section that was "technically" outside of the restaurant where we had been sitting for the hotel's evening reception. No complaints!

Located within the Embassy Suites in the Georgetown area, the inside of the hotel is beautiful and spacious. The waitress was friendly and hospitable. The food hit the spot for a late dinner, as we just arrived from a long road trip from home. The portion was good and reasonably priced. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a place to have a small, quick dinner in the area.

14 oz. Black Angus Rib-Eye - A meal featuring a rack of ribs topped with fried onions, mashed potatoes with chives, sautéed mushrooms, and a small cup of sauce, served on a white plate.

A decent place to get a bite or drink if you are staying at the embassy suites and have a $25 food credit to use. I've had the flatbread and steak. The flatbread was fine for the kids. The ribeye steak was well salted but a little over done (I ordered medium rare and you'll barely see a hint of pink) but went down fine with the free happy hour wine. The servers are super friendly and helpful.

Grilled Salmon - A meal in a white takeout container includes baked salmon with a lemon slice, steamed broccoli, mashed potatoes, and a small cup of sauce.

District Tap is located in the Embassy Suites hotel. Guests are coerced to dine at this restaurant by charging a "Mandatory Destination Charge" of $25 per night. This shows up on your bill as a "Suite Tax". I also suspect that this is somewhat of a scam. When I checked in the guest clerk did not mention this charge. Only after I received my keys and was about to leave that I asked about the "Destination Charge". The desk clerk said she forgot to mention it. She then gave me a small card good for $25 credit at the Grab N Go or District Tap. How many people are never told about the charge or that you get it back as a dining credit in the restaurant. Anyway, I ordered the grilled salmon, which comes with red mashed potatoes and broccoli (see picture). It was $28, and I ordered it to go. Everything was very good, especially the potatoes. I should have checked the bag because there was no butter for the broccoli and no salt or pepper. If you are reading this review while staying at the hotel, and they did not give you a voucher, head down to the front desk and demand the voucher.

One word...Mahlet! She's awesome. Her and her fellow server ran their tails off. We ate there twice during our stay. It was busy both times. Food is not bad for a hotel restaurant. The chicken salad croissant was awesome. The seating options were comfortable and varied from tables, to bar, to couches. Tv's for sports watching. They were out of a lot the night we arrived reason for a star deduction. I love the people complaining...it's a hotel restaurant!! It's convenient, not a Michelin-starred restaurant. The dessert (decorated by Mahlet) was a special touch for our last night in DC. The hotel, restaurant & amenities are super here!

Solid place for food and sports TV. It's in the Embassy Suites so a hotel eatery. Lots of seating and televisions. I sat at a table for a change. Staff was friendly and efficient. I didn't wait and didn't feel rushed. Tonight I ate a chicken quesadilla and some fries. Both were good. Fries were seasoned with pepper which was a nice surprise. The atmosphere was casual, low noise and properly lit. I'd eat here again.

We only ate breakfast here but there was a lot to choose from including an omelette bar. I'll definitely eat here again.

Mediocre at best and very overpriced. Chicken nuggets, a 1 person cheese flatbread and a tiny kids pasta were $60. Nope.

This location is in the heart of the city so even if you care to walk around the city at the end of beginning of your trip to S&S, you're in a good mobile area! Other eatery and entertaining spots are all within walking disance. Parking to address, was bad. There are SOME parking lots in the surrounding areas but verrrry minimal, so I would advise Uber'ing in or carpooling with friends. My party of 3 were lucky to have gotten a spot right outside of the entrance. Sidebar, because the Super Bowl and other sports are in rotation now, I would 100000% advise parties over 2 to make a reservation, as its the most helpful to guarantee a spot. See Open Table for reservations - that was where our plans were arranged. See attached pictures for the food we ate and enjoyed - the wings (mine were mumbo and buffalo), fries, and crab dip.

My friend hosted a happy hour there, and I love when events like that introduce you to new spots. The drink specials were honestly amazing with $6 drinks, which is hard to beat. The food specials ended at 7 while the drink specials continued until 8, so I was a little bummed to miss out on that. One thing to note if you're ordering food, the four cheese pizza comes with burrata, which I didn't realize ahead of time. I'd definitely come back to try more of the food, especially the flatbreads since they seem to have a lot of good options. That said, I don't think the staff was fully prepared for the size of our group. My friend brought around 60 people on a Friday night, and it was clear the servers were overwhelmed. At times, it took over 10 minutes just to place an order. I don't necessarily think that's the norm, so I'd be open to coming back during a regular happy hour to get a better feel for the service. Great size bar as well.

Happy hour (3-7) offers beers ranging $1-3, wine $4-6, $7 margs, and I think a few other drink specials, but those options were good enough for me and I went with the wine. Service was a little slow at first, but the one bartender working was friendly and cheerful and doing her best to keep up with everyone until another two eventually showed up or came back from break. Atmosphere was really chill. I liked the dim lighting, everyone was casual and relaxed with a dj setting up in the corner, some hip hop and classic 00s rap bumping, and a steady flow of young-ish friend groups coming in for cheap beer around 5pm. I tried not to evesdrop on the couple next to me at the bar arguing, but their fight sort of added to the entertainment and general vibe. On the other side of me was an adorable couple unsuspectedly ordering fruity drinks and laughing. Totally will be back whenever the end of my work day brings me to this area.

Once inside, we were escorted up an elevator to the rooftop which was set up very comfortably. There's a long bar that seats 10-15 guests, lots of high top tables, and a good handful of booths. The lighting is fun, views are solid, and open-covered patio is really nice. The drinks were good - there was a $6 vodka lemonade special for the day so we had a few rounds of those. The lemonade they used was delicious - perfectly tart to cut the vodka well. They also added mint to the drink, which really made it pop. I'm about to start doing the same at home! We tried the nachos which were a little disappointing. Nothing stood out from a flavor or taste perspective - they need a little pop of seasoning or flavor. They also weren't your traditional nacho platter, but seemingly an elevated 'fancier' version. Appreciate the effort to elevate the dish, but a classic sheetpan nacho would have been perfect. Our service was a little bit slow - we found ourselves having to work a little bit to flag down a waitress or bartender. Not terribly slow, but something that we noticed throughout the afternoon. Pro tip: Keep your eyes peeled as you head towards the entrance - the main door was a little tough to find. We walked right past the entrance way once and had to doubleback. A larger sidewalk presence might be helpful to help bring folks in.

It was straight up LOUD when we arrived due to the music; so loud I debated on if we should stay but we decided on sticking here after seeing there were a couple spots at the bar and less of a crowd there. The bartenders are attentive and patient, answering any questions you have. After ordering a couple beers, I ordered the chicken wings and a side caesar salad while my friend got the fish and chips. The wings are crispy although dry on the inside; fortunately you got the ranch for that; probably not something I would order again given the quality and price. The caesar salad is fine; nothing special, just fine. The fish and chips looked delicious and my friend enjoyed it. I probably should've gone with that but it was a large portion and I wasn't trying to leave on a full stomach. It's breaded nicely with some parmesan fries and a garnish of slaw. I can tell it's a favorite here. Located in Dupont Circle, this seems to be a favorite of the younger crowd which would explain the blaring music; especially on a Wednesday night at 930ish. The restaurant interior gives an upscale elegant vibe that suites the DC scene. Maybe I'll come here for lunch or on the weekend if I'm in the area but I'm too old for the loud music now. Sit outside (if weather permits).
