We had a great Sunday brunch at Bar Charley today! We were the first in the door for 10am opening. We didn't have a reservation, but they were nice and accommodating. We had the beignets - a brunch appetizer - which was a first. They aren't New Orleans style copycats, but they are very good. A good take on a Louisiana classic. I had the Charley breakfast - 2 eggs, bacon, and potato cake. Eggs are eggs, the bacon was excellent, the potato cake I'll probably skip next time. Not bad, you might love it, just not my cup of tea. My wife had French toast and it was A+++. Really good. We were very sad when it was gone. Daughter had the salmon Benedict - rave reviews. I tried her spring mix salad and it was so fresh. Delicious. Service was awesome and very fast. Highly recommend!

Good deal for bottomless mimosas brunch! If you're looking for an inexpensive brunch with emphasis on enjoying unlimited mimosas Bar Charley is worth checking out. The outdoor patio was really cute with fans to keep you cool and heaters for colder months. The host and the servers we interacted with were friendly and accommodating. Unlike a lot of brunches in DC, you are given the champagne bottle and allowed to pour your own drinks. Our glasses were never empty and they were good about restocking our champagne and juices.

My parents and I were there a few minutes before they opened at 10 am this beautiful Sunday and were immediately met with great service. The bartender invited us to sit down while we waited for the host and went further to provide us each an iced water during the wait. We started off with the beignets which were delivered fast and warm. I ordered the salmon Benedict which was delicious and came with a tasty spring salad mix. I also tried my mom's french toast and it was amazing. Great dining experience with quick and helpful service on a slow sunny morning. Thank you & see you next time!

This was a great bar with cool drinks and food. They made it special for my birthday with sparklers with our dessert as well. The blue cocktail I got was so pretty and it was strong. For food we got 2 pastas including the cacio Pepe, fries, and an ice cream sundae. The cacio Pepe was amazing and I'd definitely get it again. Love the vegetarian options here as well. I would come back for sure!

Finally came in for their Sunday night steak frites special and was not disappointed. Always a good call to go to Bar Charley!

I've only been here for bottomless brunch. I think this is an amazing option if you're not looking for something too fancy. Brunch items are basic but enjoyable. Definitely worth it if you're looking for a casual affordable bottomless option. I suggest sitting in the patio area because it's much brighter and temperature controlled so you can sit even when it's cold/rainy. Service was also very attentive.

Bar Charley's is a quaint but busy casual bar. It's located on the bottom level of the building and as soon as you walk in, you're hit with the delicious smell of Brussels sprouts. They have a HH menu that ends at 6PM and have a few bites on that menu, including the Brussels. We ordered the potatoes, pork shoulder, and Brussels which were all pretty good! Definitely is a popular spot in the neighborhood and would be back!

Went here for a birthday brunch with friends! Overall it was a positive experience. The brunch menu has a great variety and a reasonable priced bottomless. I was all so appreciative that even with a larger group, our friends who didn't drink weren't charged! I had the French toast and it was delicious. A very cute brunch spot and we'd love to return!

Though it was tough to find (uber dropped me off further away and maps took me down an alley), Bar Charley is a great spot for brunch. Highly recommend sitting in the enclosed heated area! Bottomless brunch for $35 to include your entree? Yes please! Service was great. The staff was attentive: checking on us and topping off our waters. Recommend Bar Charley on the price alone!

Came here for a nice happy hour in Dupont Circle. Started off with an old fashioned and the Hummus plate. Drink was top notch as was the homemade hummus and warm pita bread. Service was super attentive and also friendly. For our mains we had the steak frites and the "suffering bastard" cocktails. I really loved this one and want to try to make it at home. Happy Hour on a Friday was very pleasant and quiet at 4 PM. It's a nice walk from the Dupont Circle Metro Station.

Popped in early on a Friday evening for happy hour. Bar area is small but we grabbed a couple of stools by the front windows. Bartender was super friendly and brought us menus and took our orders quickly. Cocktails were great and the food was even better. The Catalan Fries were amazing and worth a visit themselves. Food came out really fast and staff were attentive. Great little spot.

My two girlfriends and I made a resy for the patio at 2 pm on a gorgeous Sunday and had the best time!!! We were sat right away, served with water immediately. The price was right for the bottomless brunch and my eggs Benedict was gone in seconds it was SO good!! Our server Wilbur was an angel! Can't wait to come back

This has to be DC's best kept secret for brunch... cats out of the bag because it was amazing & service was fast. My friend and I wandered in here because Vagabond wouldn't seat us for brunch so we ended up heading to Bar Charley .. The decor is amazing inside the restaurant however it had an odd smell we opted to sit outside & the ambience on the patio is so cute. I loved the plants and lights. The service was AMAZING, The food was quality. We got brunch burgers and fries. They were cooked perfectly. Their brunch was ending and 20 minutes & They still sat us. We were still able to get the brunch deal which is one entrée and champagne bottles, $35. We had such a great time. All of the staff was really nice. We ended up talking to the host, charlie on the way out He was really nice and super funny. We will definitely be back had a fabulous time.

Tucked into the heart of Dupont Circle with its unmistakable bright blue awning, the restaurant is intimate, moody, and always buzzing. Inside, you'll find dim lighting, a handful of cozy wooden bar booths, seats along the bar, and a few outdoor tables. It's not a huge space, which only adds to its charm and makes every reservation feel like a win. The atmosphere is perfect for sharing dishes and lingering over dinner with friends. The food was incredible...I genuinely loved every single bite. Just be prepared: the Sichuan spice is no joke! If you aren't expecting it, it'll definitely sneak up on you (in the best way). My must-orders? The chili wontons, Dan Dan noodles, and beef noodles. Every dish was packed with bold flavor and left me wanting to come back for more. If you've been trying to score a reservation, keep at it. Astoria is one of those places that's absolutely deserving of its reputation, and I'll be thinking about those noodles until my next visit.

Inside had small tables and a kinda casual cocktail bar vibe Beef Noodles - the highlight and actually very good! The noodles are long and handmade and chewy. They hold onto the sauce very well! The sauce has a slight kick and is very savory. The beef is soft and also flavorful! I feel the price for the portion is kinda expensive though 8/10 Chili wontons - skin is silky and soft, sauce is savory with a small kick as well! Even though the sauces look similar to beef noodle they taste very different. The fillings had good flavor and overall were good but were a bit tougher and dryer than I would prefer. 6/10 Crab fried rice - crab is slightly overcooked but naturally sweet. It has a light curry taste throughout and was pretty good but didn't really stand out 5.5/10 Mapo tofu - slight kick and nice savory taste in the sauce! However I think they cut the tofu pieces way too large or the tofu they chose had way too much tofu flavor that overpowers the sauce. I'd prefer a very light silky tofu but this was a soft tofu. 6/10 Vpod - at first it just tasted like orange juice but then the other flavors peek through on the after taste and when I mixed it more. Even though it was good, it still felt very basic 5/10 Philadelphia Scotsman - it's pretty ginger forward. Technically the level of ginger spice is fine but strong but then the rest of the drink got completely overpowered and so this just wasn't that great 2.5/10
