Small cocktail bar that is cute to catch up with friends over drinks! Great bar service and they offer small snacks for purchase as well

A perfect cocktail bar on 14th street. If you're looking for something in between a pub/sports bar and a classy speak easy, I would say this is it. They give every table a bowl of cheezits to start. Their menu is extensive and they have a little something for everyone in terms of spirits and NA options. They have small bites to share but no large plates of food so keep that mind. Inside space is limited, sometimes you can be standing around the bar when it gets later. If you're looking for something new to try, get their pickled okra!

Five stars for the host and the bartender. Two stars for the server. It's really eclectic place with limited seats. The decor is fun and bright. If there's nowhere to sit, there's standing room where you can order from the bar and wait. Perhaps it's my fault for having too high of hopes but I left feeling underwhelmed by the drink selection. We ordered two crop tops - it's a gin drink with a dash of red wine. We ordered while we were waiting in the standing room...and then we were seated...and we were still waiting...so it took a long while. With tip we paid $44 for two drinks. If there's a happy hour, perhaps that's the better play but I won't be returning.

Fun atmosphere, delicious drinks, and exceptional service! Do not miss this spot if you're on 14th street.

I can't recommend Jane Jane enough! I get why this place has hype. I came on a Saturday night at around 11. It was still extremely packed, so my friend and I went outside to determine our next move. The host came out and let us know there was space which I was so appreciative of! The crop top drink is to die for and the bartenders are personable. It really makes a difference at places like these. The music is impeccable and the decor is cute. I'll easily be back!

Golden hour 5-7pm mon-thurs, $8 wine for all of the first wine under the white, skin contact, and red wine categories. Had a glass of the garzon rosé, which was dry and not too acidic. Quite nice. Loved that they bring you water and cheez-itz when you sit. Didn't have reservations, but grabbed window bar seats when we walked in at 6:50, just in time for golden hour! Really cute and cozy space with interesting cocktails and limited wine selection.

I went here during the Bilt Close Friends HH, and I had a good time (note: this was a special event, so experience may be different from "normal" operations) I highly enjoyed my drinks here. I'm a fruit-forward person, so I enjoyed the lighter flare of drinks. There are also other types of cocktails that I'm sure others can enjoy. Because it was a private event, the crowd size was ideal. It didn't feel cramped, and the bartenders were not overwhelmed with the amount of people indoors. I will definitely come back and try more drinks!

Bathroom art is weird/ funny? We were able to walk in on a Sunday evening (Labor Day weekend). It's pretty lively and loud overall and workers were nice. They give you a plate of cheese it to snack on while you drink Mimzy's delight - I love tea cocktails, overall this was pretty balanced and lightly sweet 3/5 A la playa - lightly sour, lightly sweet, something mixed slightly strange as the beginning taste is decent but after taste is slightly off. 2.75/5 Alaskan sour - not bad but alcohol forward. Overall pretty clean though. 2.5/5

Cozy spot for girls night out, date night, or a pre-dinner drink! It's small inside but the vibe is really warm and inviting and the booths are super cute. Their cocktail program is stellar; they make great classics (their Cosmo is wonderful) and have really fun seasonal signature drinks too! The warm drinks they have had during the winter are great and very drink comes with some complimentary cheese it's. The staff is super welcoming and the bartenders give great recommendations! Love it here!

Fab place and love that they give you a mini bowl of cheezits. Cocktails were great and bartenders were so nice

this is a very nice and cozy cocktail bar. The ambience was super nice and everybody was friendly and the waiter and waitresses were super tentative. they do have cheese as a snack, which is nice, but this is mainly for drinks and good vibes.

Early grey martini and power puff

Loved the early grey martini. Actually got 2 of them because they were so tasty. Would definitely come back for drinks. The matchbooks were cute too. Our server was very friendly.

Jane Jane is a great bar on 18th street, which offers an unparalleled retro ambiance alongside balanced cocktails. The drinks are not insanely adventurous, but they are sufficiently memorable to warrant the $15-18 price tag. Their earl grey martini is a perfect example: mellow hints of your favorite cup of boozy tea. Drinks come with a side of Cheez-Its and you can choose from a short list of other bar snacks. The service has always been good, stopping and explaining their options along the way.

Cute little bar! It's small in here so prepare for a bit of a wait. But we tried several fun drinks and enjoyed all of them!

The place was pretty packed with everything from business to a bridal shower party. I really enjoyed how simple and inviting the place was for conversation. Being with other co-workers, I didn't want that place that I was screaming over everyone to have a conversation. More importantly, it wasn't that 20 year old vibe of being 4 deep at a bar begging for a drink. It was an elevated crowd that wanted a drink after work or a place to decompress. Oddly enough, there was even a guy there who whipped his laptop out to work while drinking and eat at the bar. Kinda different but hey, to each their own. Overall, this was a total win for me as it was still a weekday and exactly what I was looking for. Service at the bar was spot on and overall a secret win that Yelp help guide me towards. It's a basement bar with a bit of a dive vibe, but it's hard to ignore the nautical, blue crab theme throughout. Turns out that one of the owners is a Marylander, which is cool to see reflected in the decor in a place in dc, even though it is next door. They have a happy hour and they have a great variety of drinks in general. It's bring-your-own-food (BYOF) and there are a bunch of delicious looking Asian spots nearby, including upstairs. It didn't start getting crowded until closer to 10, which, as I said, is surprising for this part of town to me. Everywhere in Chinatown is not going to be packed and busy, and this place is here to remind you of that. Stop by if you're looking for a more chill vibe. Staff are pretty cool.

The food at this location was great. The red snapper with the rice and tomatoes was very flavorful. The red snapper could have been cooked a little harder. However, other than that it was great. My friend order the same dish except with salmon. She enjoyed the dish as well but also mentioned that the fish could be cooked harder. We sat at the bar so we didn't get service from the waiter. However, the service from the bartender as great. He was very knowledgeable on the drinks and the food. Unfortunately, I did not get a picture of the drinks. But I ordered a smoked margarita which had a great taste. The ambiance was wonderful. It was very aesthetically please. From the flowers on the ceiling to the rooftop overlooking the Capitol it was great. The roof top provided a chill vibe with low music. It could be a great place for a date night or just a place to go to meet up with friends. I 100% recommend.

However, the experience started on a rough note. When checking in at the Marriott, the front desk agent was quite rude and incorrectly insisted the restaurant was already closed. The African American guy behind the counter definitely needs some etiquette lessons or at least needs to be trained if he is supposed to be the face of Marriott Capitol Hill. Fortunately, we went up to the rooftop anyway. They seemed short-staffed, but the bartender stepped in to serve us and was absolutely wonderful. Lighting could be better, IMO it's a little too dark for my liking. The food was also a bit hit-or-miss. The sweet chili shrimp appetizer was fabulous, hot, and featured a great portion size. For the entree, I had the Trout a lo Macho. The presentation was beautiful and it arrived piping hot, but unfortunately, the mussels were not cleaned properly and still had dirt in them. For the price, the food could have been a bit more polished, though the portions were appropriate. Pros: Great rooftop views, excellent bartender service, and reasonable on-site parking ($8/hr or $12 for 2 hours, which is great for DC).

Our bartender was knowledgeable and guided me well after I shared my preferred spirit and flavor profile. The martini I had was off-menu and well prepared. Nostalgia for days of yore when only a handful of places in NYC were known for "cocktails" - not every happy hour menu in town.
