I had the opportunity to stop in here on a late weeknight after a concert to celebrate my friends birthday. There is plenty of free parking and availability on a weeknight so if you are interested in checking this place out for the food, drinks, and chill vibes definitely come on a weeknight. As many have previously stated, you enter in through a flower shop and are greeted by a pleasant hostess who leads you through a wooden door, down some stairs into a lounge that has plenty of plush seating and a DJ spinning classic hits with some international variations (which I thought were really cool). This place has an extensive cocktail/Mocktail list and a seasonal menu with that showcase modern twists on Argentinian cuisine. My friend ordered the oysters that come topped with chimichurri and the zucchini salad. I got the king crab empanadas with a side of fries. For drinks, she got the chai carrot cake composed of gin, scotch and a purple carrot liqueur. I got the Milo's Lemonade which is a mocktail composed of Yerba mate tereré, lemon verbena grapefruit, and peach cordial strawberry oleo. Everything that we had here was delicious and our server was on point. Definitely recommend of you are in the area for good drinks and small bites. read more

Speakeasy vibe down in the basement if this new-ish bar in Georgetown. Nice level of background music and comfortable to hang out. We had a great and very helpful server. The drinks are pretty good. They are expensive and not super strong, so that is my only critique. But they are nice cocktails. Kinda small menu too. read more

My friend and I stopped by for drinks and had such a lovely experience. We came on a weekday so it wasn't too busy, didn't seem like a reservation was required. Everyone we encountered, from the hostess to the bartender to our waitress, was incredibly kind. They even have a coat check, which was a great perk! it was so nice to sit and relax without dealing with our bags. The whole ambiance felt really classy. The menu is in Spanish, that was a nice touch. I ordered an espresso martini, which wasn't on the menu, but they made it and it was delicious! I also tried the El Dorado cocktail, it's very sweet, perfect if you're not into the taste of alcohol, though it's still strong, so definitely know your limit. For me the drinks were okay. Nothing really stood The blue drink with the spirulina called the yamanas was one of my favorites I didn't really care for the negroni but then again I don't really like negroni's Transatlantico fizz was not my favorite at all. Well, I don't like overly sweet drinks. This one was fairly bland Egipto was good. For dessert, pistachio gelato was great. We also got the Argentinian donut desserts which were For those looking for the speakeasy vibe, this would definitely fit. It's located inside a flower shop. You get the opportunity to hang your coat or bring it inside. The ambiance of the lounge itself is very nice. I like that they have couches and it's good for people watching. They also have a DJ who's playing music late at night and they are open late Parking in this area is on the street and they also have an adjacent lot which you have to pay for. Usually in the summer I walk but this is one of those times where I had to drive. I had no problems finding parking on k Street and walking up the hill Service was good. No issues at all I think anyone in the area looking to try the speakeasy should do so but it's not one of my favorite speakeasies in DC. read more

Really cool dope concept with a flower shop up top with a full bar and lounge hidden underneath. Once you walk in they take you to a door that leads downstairs into this vibey, cool lounge and bar space. Like the name, it gives underwater vibes. Deep blues, low mood lights and visuals that feel like you're in the ocean. It's a great space for dinner or for drinks with friends or a date. Later in the evening a DJ came on and added to the vibes. I would go back just for that. The service was great. The bartenders were very friendly and did a great job of answering all of our questions. They gave us good drink recommendations which we really appreciated. The food was solid. We ordered the wings, king crab empanadas, fries and the lomo completo. The standout items were the fries and the drinks. The cocktails are on the pricier side but are worth it. For desert we tried the chocotorta and we were a bit underwhelmed. We ordered it because we saw a beautiful version of it online, but what we got was smaller and looked totally different. It still tasted fine but we were disappointed that it wasn't what we expected. Overall Floreria Atlantico has great vibes and great drinks. I will definitely add this to the list of cool places to kick it for a good time and good vibe. I would be open to trying other items on the menu and I will definitely come back for the drinks. read more

Florería Atlántico has finally opened! We were able to check out their flower shop, which featured a beautiful selection of florals and natural wines - The bar, in which the original location is in Spain, has opened one up in Georgetown! We ordered some wine as well as tried their empanadas - fries served as a side were hot and crispy! Love their seating arrangement, especially the pear-like mosaic tables! Definitely feel like they are trying too hard. It's confusing to enter because the restaurant next door has the address above it so we didn't know where to enter. Luckily the restaurant can check the speakeasy's reservations. We had a reservation and service was great. Vibe was mixed (90s music and a seaside theme). The drinks were delicious and many had interesting ingredients. Most food was not large enough to be sharable. I ordered the steak with chimichurri, and while the steak had a good flavor, it was not cooked to my requested temperature and was pretty fatty and difficult to cut. The flatbreads were the best part of the dish. Not on my list for a return visit. read more

A super moody speakeasy. It is dim with lots of blue light and deep sea decor. It definitely sets the underwater vibe. You enter through a flower shop, where a host takes you through a back door into the bar. We visited around 8 on a Sunday night, and there were only about 5 other guests, so no need to worry about getting a spot if you come on an off-day. We sat at the bar and sampled a few drinks. They are very unique if you like trying something new, and the menu is huge, which I appreciate. The cocktails we had were good but not great, but for a fun night out with a group, it is a solid choice. Weekends they have a DJ spinning vinyl, and I can imagine it being very scene-y on nights when it's packed. read more

Came here opening week and had a great time. The flower shop is beautiful, cheerful, and carries a small assortment of Argentinian pastries. In the back is a refrigerator door which takes you downstairs to the speakeasy. The bar has a 90s, underwater vibe. I wasn't a fan of the carpeting of it though - it made the place feel like a hotel bar a bit. Nonetheless, a great wine and cocktail menu. We opted for a bottle of wine which the sommelier helped us choose. This is not a dinner place. The menu has light snacks to accompany drinks. I recommend the tuna crudo and ossobucco empanadas (comes with 2 per order). Visitors near us were complaining about the wait time for cocktails being 20 to 30 minutes. My friends and I went here for a late night spot, from 12-2am, and we had an absolute blast. We initially sat in a white leather booth near the bar and DJ, but wanted room to dance, so we moved nearer the disco ball. The DJ played a variety of bangers from Bad Bunny to Candy Shop to Britney Spears. The staff was so friendly and everyone was dancing near the end. Florería Atlántico is hidden in the back of a floral shop, which is such a cute touch. The whole vibe is moody, cozy, and a little mysterious in the best way. I got the ossobuco and the crab empanada, and definitely recommend trying both. They were incredible. Also tried the ostra atlántica (you only get one oyster, but it was really good) and the choripán costanera, which I loved too. Another vibey speakeasy with a really club like feel, we came in for post dinner drinks and loved walking through the gorgeous flower shop to end up in the basement. The music was very loud but good vibes and fairly quick service. The drinks were good but nothing crazy different from most other speakeasies, with most drinks being $19-$24 per drink. The chocolate cake mousse like dessert was really good but very overpriced for the small amount. Only issue we had was our second drink we asked for a dirty martini no vermouth and it still came out with vermouth. When we sent it back, they seemed to give us a dirty martini with a lemon twist instead of dirty. I think the music was so loud the waiter must have misheard us. I went here on a Wednesday night early around 5:30pm. By the time we left at 7:30, it was half full. The drinks are really good. I had their version of a gin martini with crab stuffed spanish olives. It was one of the best martinis I've ever had. Not dirty--just super balanced. I also enjoyed my second drink which was a play of carrot cake with chai and gin. Both were super unique. We got the lomo sandwich with french fries. The sandwich was delicious and actually a decent size. It had grilled steak, a fried egg, lettuce, tomato, and a delicious sauce. The fries weren't bad, but didn't seem house made. The service was very attentive and everyone was super nice. It seems like people enjoy working there. I love the vinyl music selection that seems very intentional. The under-the-sea vibe is fun. The bathrooms play a crashing wave track. However, the hallway is VERY dark in the bathroom and down the stairs to the bar. The flower shop entrance is adorable. I'll defintely come back for a bottle of wine/flowers. read more

Went day two.....it's ok as they're still finding their footing. We sat at a booth which was nice, but the cocktail tables are too low, and really don't fit with the vibe. Also, the lighting is a little too direct and needs to be dimmed a little more for the sexy vibe you'd expect from a speak easy. The cocktails were mostly a miss for me and I suspect they're batched. As a result you hear very little cocktail shaking which resulted in under chilled cocktails. The service was attentive and friendly. The food was a bit of a miss, except for the empanadas which were quite tasty. The wings were tasteless and served with a very grassy herb sauce. The "green salad" which is really potato salad with green peas was very sauce heavy but edible. I wouldn't make the effort to get back to this side of town to go here again anytime soon. read more
