This is such a cute bar. Great ambiance and fun place to hang out with friends. I got the Calling all Angels, which features rum, scotch, pineapple, green chartreuse, almond milk, and citrus.

Perfect vibe for a catch-up, nightcap, or date. L'Annexe is located in the heart of Georgetown and their cocktails were well worth the visit. Inventive with creative takes on classics (the rotating old fashioned included duck fat - yes it was delicious), L'Annexe provided a great atmosphere with light music, a casual buzz from the conversations taking place, and friendly and attentive bartenders working their magic and making great recommendations. While we didn't come for food, we could not say no to some light bites. This is a gem and one we look to revisit soon!

Great bar in Georgetown. You might miss it while walking around in the area, but I highly recommend. I came here with co-workers after work for some drinks. The bartender was professional and well-versed with his work. There are unique drinks that really work well for anyone. The bartender made the drinks a little strong, but that's better than being watered down. The atmosphere is great, and it feels cozy in here. Can't say anything about the food here as we just had drinks. The bathrooms are located in the basement.

Grabbed a cocktail with friends on their outside patio on the street. Service was attentive and came back to check in on us a few times. Drinks were wonderfully tasty (albeit pricy) and unique. I'll be back to check out the inside!

A low-key but still lively bar in Georgetown with a great selection of cocktails. We stopped in after dinner on my birthday. The manager and our server were very friendly. Our server, Will, helped us pick the perfect cocktails based on our preferences and made the night extra special for us. Exceptional service, sophisticated cocktails and a classy environment. Would definitely recommend!

Fabulous bar! Definitely worth a repeat! Great service, cozy environment, with a natural look and feel, and just the right type of food in the menu to not distract from the fact that it is a cocktail place. We tried a few of the drinks, and I can say every single one of them was delicately prepared by the mixologist at the bar. Highly recommend!!

L'Annexe is beautiful, cozy and sophisticated with incredibly innovative and thoughtfully made cocktails! I've been here a handful of times now, often after dinner somewhere nearby. Twice I've been seated in the main dining area, once in the lounge space and most recently at the bar. Truth be told, I've had a wonderful visit every time. But as someone who truly likes to experience the magic behind the bar, I would say that I had the most fun I had was this past visit when we were seated at the bar. Of course it helps that a bartender that I've known over the years from other establishments was holding court that night, keeping us entertained and dazzling us with "surprise me" cocktails. The first cocktail I tried was Queen of the South (cilantro macerated reposado tequila, lime,habanero-cilantro shrub, egg white.) Although it wasn't something I wouldn't usually order it was delicious and packed quite the punch. My second cocktail was a PB&J Old Fashioned and THAT, my friend was my jam (er, jelly?) Ivan was bartending and as always, so professional, so knowledgeable, so hospitable and always 100 percent good vibes. It seemed like everyone else seated at the bar was having the exact same experience we were, enjoying themselves. Seriously, though this place is top notch if you enjoy craft cocktails. If you haven't been, make sure to check it out!

Came here for some drinks and the wait took awhile. We got the espresso martini, which wasn't bad. A little too strong for my taste so my boyfriend finished mine.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon to try the craft cocktails and small bites. We were seated in the front bar area near the window which was open and nice with lots of table space for a group. The service was great - Connor was great and was very knowledgeable about the menu providing us with drink recommendations and food recommendations of some of the restaurant favorites. I truly enjoyed the shrimp ceviche and goat cheese lollipops. We also had the burrata flatbread slices which was a little tough in texture to eat and had an overly healthy amount of toppings which was a little messy to eat. This is a craft cocktail bar so the drinks are very thoughtful and have interesting flavors. I tried the Beach Blanket - blueberry macerated rum yellow Chartreuse allspice and cinnamon and nutmeg. It is smoked with a cinnamon stick and was full and sweet. The team was prompt in clearing the table and bringing dishes as well as checking in on our table. I would love to visit in the evening to experience the interior seating and more of the cocktail menu. There is street parking and nearby paid deck parking $$

I came here for the first time for a double date with friends. It was a Friday night, we didn't make reservations but we were able to be seated in the backroom which was amazing. Service: Ivan and the rest of the team were fantastic. They seated us with a group of other folks that were strangers, but because they made the experience seem so friendly. It didn't feel awkward at all. They checked in on us and made sure that we were cool, and I never felt isolated from the overall restaurant experience, even though we were in the back. Ambiance: this place is truly chic. Perfect for a date night or a special occasion. The main restaurant has dimmer lighting so it's kind of romantic while the back room with a little bit well better lit, and had a conversation style seating with books and tchotchkes all around the room everywhere my eyes looked I saw something new and interesting, which I loved. There was upbeat music playing in the background that wasn't overpowering, and really set the tone for good vibes. Cocktails: the drink menu was a true, true cocktail bar. Super interesting mixes from savory to sweet to tangy. There was definitely some thing for every pallet. My tablemates and I ordered a little bit of everything, and everyone enjoyed all of the drinks that we had. 5/5 I will definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone looking for cute night out or a vibey cocktail experience with minimal fuss.

Beautiful. Delicious cocktails, very interesting Ingredients and from my understanding they change the menu often. We went around 6 on a Wednesday when it was empty but it filled up very quickly.

Tucked into the heart of Dupont Circle with its unmistakable bright blue awning, the restaurant is intimate, moody, and always buzzing. Inside, you'll find dim lighting, a handful of cozy wooden bar booths, seats along the bar, and a few outdoor tables. It's not a huge space, which only adds to its charm and makes every reservation feel like a win. The atmosphere is perfect for sharing dishes and lingering over dinner with friends. The food was incredible...I genuinely loved every single bite. Just be prepared: the Sichuan spice is no joke! If you aren't expecting it, it'll definitely sneak up on you (in the best way). My must-orders? The chili wontons, Dan Dan noodles, and beef noodles. Every dish was packed with bold flavor and left me wanting to come back for more. If you've been trying to score a reservation, keep at it. Astoria is one of those places that's absolutely deserving of its reputation, and I'll be thinking about those noodles until my next visit.

Inside had small tables and a kinda casual cocktail bar vibe Beef Noodles - the highlight and actually very good! The noodles are long and handmade and chewy. They hold onto the sauce very well! The sauce has a slight kick and is very savory. The beef is soft and also flavorful! I feel the price for the portion is kinda expensive though 8/10 Chili wontons - skin is silky and soft, sauce is savory with a small kick as well! Even though the sauces look similar to beef noodle they taste very different. The fillings had good flavor and overall were good but were a bit tougher and dryer than I would prefer. 6/10 Crab fried rice - crab is slightly overcooked but naturally sweet. It has a light curry taste throughout and was pretty good but didn't really stand out 5.5/10 Mapo tofu - slight kick and nice savory taste in the sauce! However I think they cut the tofu pieces way too large or the tofu they chose had way too much tofu flavor that overpowers the sauce. I'd prefer a very light silky tofu but this was a soft tofu. 6/10 Vpod - at first it just tasted like orange juice but then the other flavors peek through on the after taste and when I mixed it more. Even though it was good, it still felt very basic 5/10 Philadelphia Scotsman - it's pretty ginger forward. Technically the level of ginger spice is fine but strong but then the rest of the drink got completely overpowered and so this just wasn't that great 2.5/10
