Great service but the prices for the SMALL drinks was excessive. My husband and I stayed for one round and then we hit the road.

Service was top notch in a traditional speakeasy fashion- we were able to discuss what we like or don't our server guided our selections. My water never went empty and I had a drink lined up before I finished the one on my table. Presentation is detail oriented - look at the drinks and food pics. The snacks we tried were home runs. I would come back for the eggplant - so much flavor with the kimchi. The fried chicken with dipping aioli - mmmmm. We loved the sexy surroundings - velvety smooth ambience.

Unique decor, innovative menu, intimate low lighting digs! The food menu is really interesting and the cocktail menu weaves a story. By far the most impressive item to me was the Aperol spritz Jell-O shots which come in an orange wedge and served with prosecco. Great date spot or to hang with friends!

Wish I could give this place a 3.5. 4 for Drinks were wonderful and absolutely WILD. Some of the ingredients they make up. Some have weird stuff in them. Some are just why-did-you-make-this? But one thing is for sure: VIBEZ. This is the place you go to for drinks and not the food. We had the tater tots and the pizza bites. Neither slapped. The music is way too loud with a dj in the center. The lighting is real real low. There are velvet seats. And you expect John Wick to come out and have a sword fight through the bar and into the kitchen while you sip your drink infused with bee pollen. You feel me? This is the place you bring your out of town friend to be like "yo I have a wild experience for you tonight." It isn't the place you take someone who you expect to have a conversation with. It's either pre dinner drinks or just a drink after whatever event you are headed to. Drink summation: lychee martini for the sweet lovers. Project Manhattan was strong. Perkins purple punch was delicious. We were staying at the hotel so can't comment on the parking. This place fills up FAST so Rez it up. Service was super fast and great recommendations.

God I love Silver Lyan! Perfect place for a celebratory cocktail, date night or impressing out of towners. Service is thoughtful and just truly exceptional. They walked us through the drinks we were interested in, offered recommendations based on our flavor and spirit preferences, and were very accommodating for my friends doing dry January. They had 4 cocktails they could easily make mocktails. I haven't had a bad sip or bite here. The tater tots were perfect and maybe the best I've had!? They also brought us complimentary champagne and nonalcoholic sparkling tea (for those doing dry january) for our celebration :) Swanky ambiance in the basement of the hotel Riggs. You should be drinking here.

I came here on a Saturday and loved this place. We got a reservation pretty early and were sat promptly. The drinks were delicious and the server was so attentive. If you told the server what kind of drinks you wanted, then they'd find a drink you would like to enjoy. It's a very cute vibe, that's placed in a former bank vault. I'd definitely recommend stopping by!

Probably my favorite cocktail bar in the area, I LOVE the ambience and menu - there's cute and interesting little stories for each of the drinks, and they even have a little chart showcasing how each of their drink compare in terms of sweetness and strength. The service has always been great as well, all the staff gave perfect recommendations and knew the menu well. Will keep coming back!

Stumbled into here after visiting bar upstairs. Super cool lounge spot with good music and awesome cocktail drinks. Bartenders were fun to chat with while they worked. One of which whose job was solely tasting the product to make sure they were alright before sending them out. Sweet gig!

Oceanside Fix

Worth the price, I don't know how anyone disagrees. This is the absolute height of modern cocktail culture--pushing boundaries, telling stories with their drinks, while staying anchored in the traditions. Teddy was my guy behind the bar, and we started with the Oceanside Fix. Think of it like a Negroni for people who hate Negronis--spirit forward, but the overwhelming bitterness is swapped out for a hint that dies off before ruining the drink. (I hate Negronis.) Next was the Bare Market Handshake, which reminded me of a malted milk ball crossed with a whiskey sour. Perfectly balanced, complex, absolutely lovely. And last was the Silver Apple Martini, which was relatively simple but absolutely perfect. They also didn't forget about the food, unlike some other cocktail-centric bars in the area. The pretzel bites were the fluffiest I've ever had, the perfect bar snack. I wish I was local so I could drink my way through the entire menu! I'll have to settle for swinging by every time I'm back in DC. Love!!!

Expresso martini

The ambiance is super cute for a chill date night or friend night to have conversation. The oysters were so good and my expresso martini and my server had a sweet drink made for because I said I wanted something sweeter. Our server Steph was amazing !! Loved his energy every time he came over I couldn't help but to smile. Was a great night and a great establishment.

A menu page features a list of food and snack options including pretzel bites, marinated olives, oysters, fried chicken, and more. Each item has a brief description and price, with some items like oysters priced at $22 and others like marinated olives at $10. The menu is printed on a white background with blue and purple text, and the layout is organized into sections separated by lines.

I reckon that Silver Lyan is a speakeasy under the beautiful & grand Riggs Hotel (& Café Riggs). It is mildly historically known to be a former bank vault and the vault door remains before the entrance as a cool olde for aesthetics (as pictured). It certainly adds to the alluring ambiance. If you are looking to go, you MUST RSVP. I made the mistake of just walking up without an RSVP & even the bar was booked. I waited a few minutes but didn't plan on staying long due to having another event immediately after. I was finally seated at the bar. I ordered ceviche tacos & a light cider to snack/drink on. The ceviche tacos, while delicious, we're incredibly tiny for the price point. The guy next to me got a cute expresso martini & let me take a picture of it. Despite the RSVP hassle & tiny bar food portions, I'd like to return again on a date or another solo adventure to explore the cocktails more. It's directly across the street (diagonally) from Gallery Place Metro on the 9th & G Exit.

A fabulous cocktail lounge, very sleek and cool, with incredible cocktail and such a fun staff! It's gorgeous on the inside; very 70s-ish, sleek, and retro kind of cool so it's the perfect spot for a date night drink or to bring people visiting town. The cocktail program is killer. They known what they're doing and do it very well. They craft cocktail that you've for sure never had before and do so vert well! The food is honestly also really great. Smaller portion sizes so good lounge food. They sometimes have a DJ, which is a vibe, and really feels like such a fun spot for a night out with friends. Can't wait to go back, no one else is doing it like them!

The experience is great and the design concept are really cool. You go into a musky hotel walk downstairs to the old Bank vault which is really cool really good playlist of music the whole time. The drinks and food are all based on a storyline or series of different story lines. The bad thing is the drinks are lovely but very low on alcohol content. Ubique concepts drinks the paso flores and the daisy ginger drinks with very little alcohol . The mushroom wraps were nice but disproportionately distributed between the mushroom and mango. The tater tots were good

The sign reads 'CLOSED FOR A PRIVATE EVENT' and includes additional text about service resumption. The background shows a reception counter with a wooden facade and a patterned carpet, indicating an indoor setting, likely a hotel or event space.

The food at this location was great. The red snapper with the rice and tomatoes was very flavorful. The red snapper could have been cooked a little harder. However, other than that it was great. My friend order the same dish except with salmon. She enjoyed the dish as well but also mentioned that the fish could be cooked harder. We sat at the bar so we didn't get service from the waiter. However, the service from the bartender as great. He was very knowledgeable on the drinks and the food. Unfortunately, I did not get a picture of the drinks. But I ordered a smoked margarita which had a great taste. The ambiance was wonderful. It was very aesthetically please. From the flowers on the ceiling to the rooftop overlooking the Capitol it was great. The roof top provided a chill vibe with low music. It could be a great place for a date night or just a place to go to meet up with friends. I 100% recommend.

The wall shows some of the drinks on the menu and the ingredients/glass it comes in which I thought was a nice touch. Bartenders were friendly but not too chatty as they were super busy but you never waited long for a drink. The bourbon drink with the whipped honey was our favorite but the gin drink that was pink was also fantastic. For food I did try the buffalo chicken dip, pretty large and tasty (not too spicy) and loved the super crisp celery and the fritos. Clean, trendy bathrooms, nice vibes throughout the whole spot for pictures, great for a night cap or pre-dinner drink.

It tasted like a rainbow--just bright and with a really delicious after taste. I should have stopped at the rose but after my trying my friend's, i had to have one! We initially came for happy hour, but moved to the cocktail menu. The hh was a bit limited, but the drinks were priced overall pretty reasonably for the area. My one complaint is the wine glasses were so teeny. Overall though, I would recommend this bar. Bonus: cheese balls when you sit down! I believe there is also a limited food menu (think nachos) for the after work or late night crowd.

The drinks tasted watered down and unbalanced. The banana flavor in mine was dull and overripe rather than fresh and vibrant. The smoke and fire presentation was nice, but the actual cocktails did not justify the $25 price point. The restroom was unacceptable. There was urine on the floor, a strong foul odor, and the surface was slippery. For a speakeasy positioning itself as upscale, this was a major miss. The space is very small and service was just okay. Overall, the concept has potential, but the execution did not meet expectations. I will not be returning.

While it leans a bit on the pricier side, the exceptional service more than justifies the cost. Jordan and the team were incredibly knowledgeable about both the drinks and food menu, offering suggestions that perfectly matched our tastes. We tried two standout drinks that I can't recommend enough: the Attractive Nuisance and El Tiburon, (which is an Old Fashioned made with gin). Next, the hostess led us to a table inside where the magic of candles, cozy tables, and intimate booths immediately meets your eyes. Did I mention that we sat in most comfy green velvet chairs in our cozy booth? How sexy! Service: our waiter, Jordan, was the best! He provided great service and recommendations. However, shoutout to the rest of the staff because it was truly all hands on deck. Drinks: the bartender is indeed a mixologist! There is no question of the magic he created in a glass. Small bites: the kitchen was out of mussels and their famous donuts so we decided to try the Franks en Crute, the sexy adult version of pigs in a blanket lol. Such a delicious treat, well balanced flavors giving both sweet (flaky puff pastry) and savory (well grilled wagyu beef). Definitely recommend. The music was perfect for the evening!
