On ambiance alone, this place is five stars, given the location and rooftop that offers a solid escape within D.C. For the price though, the food doesn't quite live up to the expectations. I just ordered a burger, which was filling and good but probably should've been no more than $15. The kofta was good but felt more like a salad than a meaty dish. The cost of 2 entrees and 2 drinks were over $100, which feels like a steep price.

We had breakfast at the fig leaf while it's staying at the Zena Hotel! The food was so much better than most any other hotel breakfasts! I had the avocado toast and a smoothie and both were so packed with flavor! It also felt so much fresher than most breakfasts you can get at a hotel. It was a bit on the pricier side, but I had a credit I was able to use. The staff was friendly and overall for a hotel breakfast, I'd recommend.

A bar/cocktail lounge inside an art gallery. The wait staff is helpful and quick, and the food is fantastic!

Amazing Brunch! Amazing Artwork & Atmosphere! This was my fourth brunch experience and by far my favorite. As a art enthusiast, mimosas, and food lover, I was in heaven. The bottomless mimosas are $22 per person. The food is a la carte meaning you purchase each food item that you want. I went to this location twice during our Hotel Zena stay because the first visit to the restaurant was so immaculate. I tried the Shawarma Wings, Duck Bao, and Salmon Croque. EVERY DISH.......and I mean EVERY DISH was a 5/5. Plating, Texture, Consistency, Flavor, you name it, it was FIRE!! The service was pristine, sadly this must be a hidden gem because there weren't many people during either visit, but I can assure you that they are missing out. I will be returning to this location for brunch in the near future. Hopefully I convince a fellow art lover and foodie to visit. Overall, 5/5 rating!

A fantastic happy hour spot with lovely vibes! My best friend and I met up here after work and adored the female-centric decor and design. We took advantage of the happy hour $9 well drinks deal and got lemonade martinis and cosmos! All were made strong, fruity, and tasted delicious. I loved the free sparkling wine I received for checking-in! The service was fast and it was clear the staff was dedicated to making us feel comfortable. Overall, this is a great place for small bites and catching up with friends over a drink.

It was a cold and rainy night. We had tried to get into Allegory. It was full so we walked a few blocks and found are selves at Figleaf in the hotel Zena. We were the only ones at the bar. Shivan the bartender took great caee of us. We ordered some of the signature drinks. They were delicious. The Drunk love was particularly good. Thank you Figleaf for making a cold evening very warm!

The food was very delicious!!! I'm hungry just thinking about it lol. The service was really warm and friendly. The food came out quick which was perfect since we had a full day in front of us! The ambiance was calm, relaxing and perfect for us while talking. Highly recommend! We also had a late night snack during an event that was happening in the restaurant. Despite it being busy the food came out quick. The Chicken Wings and "Not your Mom's Chocolate Cake" was all delicious!!

I love the atmosphere of this bar and lounge. Great location as hotel Zena is a great vibe. Service was great and bartender even better. As for the food, it was pretty mediocre. Nothing to really rave about. Definitely a place for good vibes and music.

located inside hotel Zena, really hip modern American restaurant. The food (burgers) was in good portion and tasted really good but I felt like the cocktails were a lot for $17. The service was good and our food came out quickly.

Went for dinner as I was staying at the Zena Hotel in which it's located. I got a burger wrapped in lettuce and fries. The food was good... I ordered breakfast the next morning and was pleasantly pleased. The flavors were robust and everything was cooked perfectly! The venue is chic and modern... it's quiet... not many people were there on a Saturday evening, so I would say this is a great date night, especially with the artistic decor and games, such as a pool table! Go enjoy yourselves

Visiting here is a treat. The bar is located inside Hotel Zena. If you are only visiting the bar, parking is nearly $20. I was in the last group to leave because we were having so much fun. Figleaf prepared wonderful bites for an event I attended. The bartenders were nice. The lounge has comfy chairs and couches. Charge your phones for all the selfies you will take while visiting. You can see a great mural of RGB near the pool table. There are hundreds of buttons hanging around the venue (don't lean on them as it isn't an actual wall). This is a wonderful event space or place to catch up with friends. Metro is nearby. Bonus points for the fun gift shop.

Just had a fabulous dinner at Figleaf Bar and Lounge, in the lobby of the Hotel Zena. First off, the place is fabulous... and a glorious homage to strong women. The atmosphere is beautiful, and I absolutely loved the art work of Notorious RBG, made out of tampons and bullets. My BFF Kate and I had a multicourse dinner tonight and it was delicious. They've just launched a new menu, and we loved it. Some of our favorites were: - Bacon-Wrapped Dates with Cream Cheese, Goat Cheese,Chorizo, Bacon, Red Wine Gastrique -Grilled Head on Prawns, Brassicas, Blistered Tomatoes, Aji Amaraillo -Yucca Gnocchi, Braised Oxtail, Hen of the Woods, Adobo Brado, Dandelion, Smoked Peppercorn SO YUMMY! We got to meet GM, Matt, who was friendly and kind... and we particularly loved our waiter DOUG! He is great! Next time you're there, ask for Doug!

I came here for a networking event and I ordered the greens salad which was bomb! It was so fresh and that pomegranate vinaigrette was tasty and lemony. The staff was so kind and accommodating. The design of the restaurant was also so pretty! I loved the women empowerment buttons everywhere.

It ended up being too hot for us to enjoy outside but the server was nice enough to move our large party indoors without a wait. I ordered the sangria and it was so fruity and refreshing. Where this place falls flat for me is the food. We went for brunch so I'm not sure what their lunch and dinner menu looked like but I had their chicken and waffles. Typically, I'm used to having this dish with just chicken on top of a waffle with a side of syrup that you can pour over. This dish was drenched with a sauce that wasn't syrup but still sort of sweet? It wasn't necessarily *bad*, it's just that I wasn't expecting it. I didn't end up finishing it and my friends weren't impressed with some of the other dishes. I will say though...that Harissa Shrimp? Give me 14 of them.

It took 10 minutes for the bartender to hand me a water and ask what I wanted (though he never gave me a menu). After ordering, no one checked on me until my plates were empty and drink was dry. I ordered the beet salad and truffle fries. The food was good but certainly not worth the price. I'm happy to pay good money but seeing the well done lamb chops beside me, I decided to go with a safe Girl Dinner. I won't be back, even if I need a cute spot for pictures with the girls. This spot isn't worth it, there are too many great places to eat in DC to settle

My first night in DC and this is exactly how you're supposed to start it…read more A friend brought me to Thurst for birthday weekend vibes, and from the moment I walked in, the energy felt intentional and warm. The purple neon lighting creates this sultry, intimate atmosphere without being overwhelming. It's the kind of place where you can actually connect, laugh, and still feel like you're outside living. The music was a vibe. Smooth R&B blended with some Jamaican flavor and nostalgic cuts that made the room feel alive. It wasn't chaotic; it was curated. The sound set the tone without overpowering the experience. What stood out most was how comfortable the space felt. Beautiful crowd, welcoming energy, and that perfect balance between lounge and nightlife. It's not just somewhere you go to be seen; it's somewhere you go to feel good. Perfect first stop for my DC weekend. I'd absolutely return.

I know sometimes men can feel a little put off by women being in their space, lesbian or not, which I completely understand, but we felt welcomed! Lastly, if you'd like entertaining/worthy bottle service these ladies don't deliver. Lol it was the most pitiful sight to see--I feel bottle service should include high energy, body shaking rah rah enthusiasm. The bathroom was clean and smelled fresh which I appreciated. I'm not sure what was in the back & upstairs but they were loud upstairs for sure. When we left around 10pm there was a line wrapping the corner and they'd started removing tables inside. So, sounds like a cool place. Go, enjoy!
