Love this place! We had the opportunity to go when they first opened, pre-COVID, and a few weeks ago, post-COVID, and both times we thoroughly enjoyed it and had great service. The food is delicious and the beers are good as well. Both times we got a mix of apps and flatbread pizza which we enjoyed, and a flight to the various beers. My husband and I had been wanted to try Britesmith as we watched it be built over the last several months! We didn't have a chance to go while it's been open for eating in and while we didn't get to eat in the gorgeous new building over looking the creek, we were really excited to try out this new staple in the village. We can't wait to go back in the summer and enjoy the outdoor space, see more of the restaurant and brewery, and relax with friends! We tried the mushroom pizza, stuffed mushroom burger, and the wedge salad! Really looking forward to trying more from the menu. The crowlers we bought were delicious and a nice treat during a time when we are stuck in the house. The team at the Brewery were kind, welcoming and thanked us for supporting local. I came here for a beer and bite to eat one night after getting into town. Sadly I did not know that the new mandate for the county was that they have to close at 8pm. I got there right at 8pm as they were closing so I could not be seated. However, they were nice enough to sell me a four pack of beer and were amazingly nice. My second time in this place was a bit of a disappointment unfortunately.. the beers I had were really bland and tasted like Bud light. I got the Diavoli pizza which was SUPER salty to the point that it was painful to eat and I have a pretty high threshold for salty food! I am very tolerant and supportive of local businesses. But I've now had several bad experiences at Britesmith. Last year, a bartender on the patio helped himself to $100 on my debit card, including a $30 tip, after I paid the bill in cash. This was after he refused to go inside to get drinks that were unavailable outside. More recently, a bartender again refused to go inside to get drinks, then put my entire tab on my debit card without asking. I had intended to use cash but I wasn't given the option. And the general attitude of the patio bartenders is miserable and condescending. Either have a full bar outside or quit complaining about having to go inside for drinks. Oddly, not all of their beers are available outside, and then they complain about having to get beer from the inside. It's a brewery! read more

This brew pub is worthy of its setting, an old blacksmith shop on the river. They have an excellent selection of beers, IPAs for those who are into that, great alternatives for those off us who aren't. We ordered the Elote appetizer which I highly recommend. We tried after waiting months after it opened. It was not busy(4:30pm). We were seated quickly by a friendly server. Beer was good but that's where it ends. Ordered the Perogies and Wood fired Neopolitan Pepperoni pizza. Over 40min later the food came out and our server apologized for the delay. Upon trying to eat the food we quickly noticed problems. We've had Neopolitan pizza before.... the crusty is thin, airy and burns easily and its "wet". This pizza did have a thin crusty but that's it. The crust had burned marks as well as the bottom and the dough was not fully cooked. There was no taste but bland. We've unfortunately had better store bought pizza. The pierogies were the same. Undercooked, bland and the remesco sauce tasted just like pureed tomatoes. The whole meal was underwhelming and one note. We explained to the server when we informed her that this was inedible and apologized. She graciously took both off our bill. Another thing as well, is there is only one vegan option besides salad and no substitutions for burgers listed- chicken/black bean/Beyond.... We ended up going to another restaurant that's a reliable standby and as they know us we explained our situation we had. A few commented that they've heard the same about the food for the price they charge and apparently the Fried Chicken Sandwich was the only thing they've heard is good besides the beer and our waitress we had. read more

Had a really good experience here after an awful experience at another restaurant. First of all, I would like to thank the hostess and staff for accommodating people with disabilities with no complaints or frustrations. They were very kind about us needing some accommodations (a lower table) for my 86 year old grandmother. Second of all, the food and drinks were really good! I highly recommend the patatas bravas and Korean Cheesesteak in particular. Everything from the pizza to the cocktails to the seasoned fries was delicious, but those two items stood out as being truly unique and well done. Great atmosphere and service too! read more

Just found my favorite new burger in Buffalo! The BSB Double Smash Burger hits the spot every time. The special sauce is delicious and remnant of the Big Mac sauce or In-N-Out sauce. Make sure you pair it with the tater tots that somehow remain crunchy despite traveling from the restaurant to my home. However, $15.50 for just a burger, no sides (the tots are $2 extra) is a little pricey in my mind. I also enjoyed the Quattro Formaggi wood fired pizza. Lots of good flavor and the Gorgonzola really stands out. We have also ordered the pretzel and it was actually pretzels bites, which I would usually like, but a lot of them were overcooked and some were burnt. I'll pass on those next time. The pick up is easy enough as long as you can find a parking spot. The parking lot is small and it's hard to imagine how this place will operate once it's open for dine-in business, too. We will likely be getting this again during quarantine, but if you're trying to feed a family of 4, the price might not be worth it to you. That burger sure is addicting though! read more

Great place, and perfect for Williamsville! The location is amazing, right next to the Ellicot Creek and both the I side and outside look cool. The beer and cider were great, especially their Dream Island sour. The smoked trout dip was pretty good and the four cheese pizza was amazing. The clams were also really good. I had the fried chicken was was good, but a little greasy. My only complaint is that the menu doesn't do a great job listing everything that is in a dish, which was an issue with allergies. We got our appetizer relatively quickly, but waited an hour for food after that. People who came in after us were finishing up when our food finally arrived. 2 of the 4 in our party disliked the food. They offered a few free drinks, but no discount on the food. You must order the pickled deviled eggs and the elote dip! I could live off that stuff it was so good. We arrived on a very busy Friday night just after 9 and we were seated right away (2 people). Despite it being super crowded the server got to us immediately and we did not wait very long for drinks or food. The server was very nice and attentive. The food and drinks were excellent and the place overall seems really cool. If we lived here we would definitely be back often, but next time we are in the area we will be back, just for that elote dip! read more

We ended up here since the wait at our intended restaurant was too long, and this had no wait with ample seating outside, and 2 floors inside. The waitress highly recommended the gluten free pizza crust, although she didn't know what it was made from -not cauliflower but possibly almond flour (ask if you have a nut allergy). The pizzas were very good and 6 medium slices each. We told the waitress we wanted to split a salad and she offered to split it onto 3 plates for us. Each one was presented with the tomatoes around it and (slightly too much) dressing on top. She even split the bills into drinks plus "1/3 pizza and 1/3 salad" without us asking and it made it so easy to pay. I couldn't finish my small salad so if you want that as your meal, don't plan on having pizza with it since the salad is so big. There was a guitarist playing music in the corner also. Only bad thing was it was loud inside and I frequently found myself shouting even though we weren't seated near the music. It might've been better outside for sound. This place is super new, so it has room to grow and improve, and I'm totally willing to go back, but, my first visit was somewhat middling. First off: the beers. I should've probably tried more of a variety, but I tried the three different IPAs they had on tap, and the pilsner. The pils was pretty solid, approachable, and clean. The Britesmith IPA was a more classic IPA in the vein of Two-Hearted Ale and well-executed. The Billie Haze is their New England IPA which was fine, but this is a category of beer that everyone is making lately, and there's some stiff competition out there which this doesn't quite live up to. The worst of the bunch was the Briteside IPA. One, it's confusingly named, I'm thinking after a few a customer might be confused between Britesmith and Briteside IPAs. Two, it had something going on that was either a malt character I didn't care for, or an off-flavor. For the food, we ordered the pretzel bites, tater tots, and "The Lobstah" pizza. Most disappointing were the tater tots. In this gastropub setting, when I see tater tots on the menu (alongside parmesan fries at the same price) I assumed they were going to be house-made tots. Nope. They serve the same frozen tater tots you can find anywhere. In hindsight, I pieced together that they probably would've said "house-made tater tots" on the menu if they were made in-house, but I don't think anyone who is ordering them is expecting cheap frozen tater tots. If we come back with our five-year-old I might get them, but this was a real bummer. That said, they were well-fried and crispy, though not particularly hot - pretty much room temp when they hit the table. The pretzel bites were similar. Every brewery serves hot pretzels. These pretzel bites were a step above the movie theater pretzel bites you might encounter, but not by much. Also not particularly hot, and the cheese they were served with was congealing when it hit our table. They tasted good and I might give them another shot, but they're unremarkable. The lobster pizza was the best thing we had. Described on the menu as: Maine lobster, garlic cream, mozzarella, fontina, chive. A good amount of lobster to justify the $28 price tag, flavorful, and overall tasty. The crust was very limp/somewhat soggy in the center, but good otherwise. We showed up at about 5:30 on a Thursday night, were able to get a table immediately, and service was fast - we were in and out in about an hour. The building is cool with nice views of the water. I think this place has tremendous potential, but just isn't quite there yet. Nothing was terrible, but nothing impressed me. We wanted to try the pizza, but, assessing other table's food - I think next time I'm going to order either the burger or fried mortadella sandwich for sure. read more

Very popular spot-super limited parking-we parked behind the library and walked over. We had fun sampling the beers. I liked my iron horse red ale best-'z We tried a few appetizers-the pierogi's were yummy. Carmelized onion-crunchy apple, crispy pierogi-amazing! We also tried smithy wings without blue cheese. Sesame seeds and scallions with "angry" sauce-not hit like Franks sauce-they were ok. Our table mates had the brew house nachos and have it 3 sets of thumbs up. We tried pizza and the smash burger. Britesmith is a wonderful addition to Williamsbille, and the ambience can't be beat, with their wonderful outdoor patio next to a creek. Food is delicious, specifically their oven pizzas. Unfortunately, they haven't adopted a reservation system or a maximum time per table, and wait times can reach 3 hours on a Friday/Saturday night (which is absurd even for some of the best restaurants in the country!) While that may add to appeal, this could easily be rectified if online reservations were allowed in advance, with a set number of tables set aside for walk in, and a maximum time per group, ie: 1.5 hours per group. This is especially important in times of COVID. Please make this change, it will make this restaurant even better. read more

Always fun to check out new places. First the beer, it was excellent, tried all the IPA selections and found them to be juicy, hoppy, and fresh, it was a great first impression. Went for the lobster salad roll, it was very good, on a warm buttered roll with a gigantic serving of the Parmesan fries. $24 is a little steep for a lobster roll but it was high quality and the beer and the view made it worthwhile. read more

I was excited to try this place out for the first time and glad I did! They have outdoor seating which is what I was looking for and they have a good process in place to make sure you dine safely and everyone social distances. They had said a half hour wait but it was only maybe 15 which was nice. Waiting for our outdoor table we had the ability to go inside and sit at a table to order a drink and wait. You can't tell from the front but there is a decent size patio with bar in the back and it overlooks the water for nice scenery. The bar is not very big and you have to maintain distance so you have to wait to be seated there. The food was good and reasonably priced. We shared the nachos which I felt could have used a little more cheese and the chicken bacon ranch pizza which was just ok. Oh and don't ask for any ranch on the side because even though the pizza has ranch, they do not have any to bring on the side lol I will be back though because The burgers that everyone was ordering looked delish! read more

I was able to visit Britesmith Brewing within their first week of opening and then the coronavirus hit... But I like supporting local businesses, so I ordered take out from them this past weekend! First of all, they have fried chicken specials but they were out when I tried to order over the weekend (on a Sunday, of course!). I can't wait to try their friend chicken, though. They do fried chicken on pizza and chicken and waffles. I ordered the BSB Double Smash burger instead. They have two very meat-y patties that seem to be made from home ground beef. The texture was great--in being a smash burger, the patties had a great sear and their "special sauce" was a perfect complement. It reminded me of the In-N-Out sauce. Yum! Fries were nice and crispy after the 5 minute drive home, too! Impressive! Also, they have been doing Buy One, Get One Free Crowlers on all beers. I tried their Britesmith beers when they first opened back in February. They were fine. Nothing punchy and nothing extra special. I frequent Britesmith Brewing for a number of reasons. Their drinks are always very well made, the food is always on point, and the atmosphere is awesome. What stood out the most about my recent trip though was my server, James S. For somebody who looked busy as hell all night, he was still making time to check up on all his tables as much as possible. He also surpassed any expectations I had for customer service. *this is not the norm* but my food took about an hour to come out. I ordered the Schnitzel Sandwich (which was amazing) and when James realized how long it had been, he showed genuine concern. I'm a laid back guy so I didn't mind one bit but without hesitation he offered to comp the meal. He let me know that they had several new people working that night and he was more than apologetic even though I had told him it was totally fine - their patio is fun to relax on anyways. James, as well as the rest of the staff, are very polite & curious and I will continue to go there on the regular. read more

What an unfortunate turn of events. I literally post this as I sit here, upset that our server has literally never asked how our food was. As I watch my wife not enjoy her second drink on her birthday, the first I had to take back to the bar myself because our server also never asked how our drinks were and her first was NOT good. Then the bartender argued about returning the drink and then spilled it on the bar, splashing down the front of me. It's not the the beer or food isn't good. We've been here several times and have never had a real issue but the service right now, when service is the thing that could absolutely MAKE a venture out of our home into the pandemic world worth it, is such a failure. My husband had wanted to try this place for a while so we went for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon - since the weather just got a bit warmer the place was packed! We had a 30 minute wait at 2pm. Williamsville is quite lovely, so we took a walk to pass the time. Parm fries are outstanding and definitely worth the upgrade. After having those, no regular fry will do. Order was delivered to our table accurately but not hot. Sandwiches were quite good and we would return with guests from out of town to enjoy such a cool place. Trendy typically means pricey so I expected the tag. The place was packed but the staff was on point and didn't make the wait for a table feel like one. We ordered drinks from the bar while waiting for our table. Crafted beer selection was good, including IPAs, wheats and sours. There was wine and spirits available. Once seated we were upstairs in a cute little room set off to the side. Three of us ordered four apps to share. The portions were average size; no one left full. We ordered the Brewhouse nachos, beer pickled deviled eggs, shishito peppers and jackfruit chili. I would say everything was good but not enough to make me return. The nachos needed more product on the chips and the peppers were just okay. I enjoyed the eggs and the chili was my favorite of all the choices. read more
