I love it when an unassuming place does something out of character right!…read more I've been to Alkemy before for its dark chocolate ice cream. Service is usually quick and friendly. And the ice cream I got had a good chocolate taste to it, even with the novelty of nitrogen. The sipping chocolate however? God tier. Supreme. Its so luxurious and at the same time, not too sweet! You get this wonderfully bitter chocolate taste that's not overwhelming but still manages to warm your insides. Get it with a torched marshmallow ring and it rivals any sipping chocolate you can get in the city. Overall, well worth a visit in the winter (yes, its true!), if not for the ice cream, than for the sipping chocolate!

I had the matcha green tea flavored ice-cream on a waffle cone topped with a Stroopwafel cookie. I thought it was excellent and tasted great. It's hard at first and has a different consistency than regular ice-cream. The difference in taste is certainly noticeable. My wife had the Ooey Gooey Butter Cake Ice Cream. It was a memorable experience, but an expensive one; two ice creams cost $25, which is pricey, but understandable given the process it takes to make the ice-cream.

From the moment you arrive, you can tell this is not just a farm stand -- it's a Long Island institution with heart, history, and soul. The atmosphere is peaceful and inviting, especially compared to the rush of everyday life. Whether you come on a quiet weekday or a busy weekend, there's something comforting about walking through the grounds, seeing families, kids, couples, and longtime locals all enjoying the space. It feels wholesome in the best possible way. The produce and baked goods are where Kerber's truly shines. Everything feels fresh, thoughtfully sourced, and seasonal. Their fruits and vegetables are vibrant and full of flavor, and the baked goods smell incredible the moment you walk inside. The pies are legendary for a reason -- flaky crusts, generous fillings, and that homemade taste that's hard to find these days. Apple pie, crumb pie, pumpkin pie -- you really can't go wrong. Their donuts and breads are also standouts, perfect with a cup of coffee. Speaking of food, the prepared items and snacks are another highlight. Whether it's sandwiches, cider, or small treats, everything feels made with care rather than mass-produced. It's the kind of place where you end up buying more than you planned because everything looks (and tastes) so good. What makes Kerber's Farm especially special is the experience, not just the products. Kids love seeing the animals, parents appreciate the open space, and everyone seems to slow down just a little while they're there. It's a wonderful spot for a family outing, a relaxed afternoon stop, or even just a quick visit that turns into a longer stay because you don't want to leave. The staff has always been friendly and helpful in my experience. Even when it's busy, they remain patient and welcoming, which adds to the overall charm of the place. You can tell people take pride in working there. Kerber's Farm isn't trying to be flashy or overly modern -- and that's exactly why it works. It's authentic, comforting, and deeply rooted in the community. Whether you're coming for fresh produce, famous pies, or just a peaceful break from the day, Kerber's delivers every single time. If you're on Long Island and haven't been yet, this place is absolutely worth the visit. And if you have been before, you already know -- Kerber's Farm is the kind of place you keep coming back to. While I don't always expect an overly cheerful greeting, the service was very plain and lacked a smile. Even when I mentioned it was my first time, the staff seemed indifferent. I ordered an egg and cheddar cheese biscuit and a small coffee with sugar-free French vanilla and almond milk, which came to $15. I also picked up two mini pies for $14. The breakfast sandwich was okay, but for the price, I expected more cheese and a bit more flavor. However, the mini pastries were absolutely delicious! I would 100% come back just for those. The store itself was very clean.

Atmosphere: The second I stepped in, everything felt clean, bright, and neatly organized, with plenty of natural sunlight. Sweet varieties: From birthday cakes to pastries and cookies, there are so many options you won't know where to start. Breakfast & brunch: They offer a great selection of breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and a comfortable seating area on the other side of the shop. Service: I really appreciated the staff who helped me the other day. I wanted everything to fit in one box so the pastries wouldn't tip over during the car ride. I initially picked 20 pieces, but only 15 could fit. She was incredibly kind and patient, and she packed everything so carefully that it all arrived home in perfect condition. Overall: Their pastries were a hit at my friend's housewarming party--both beautiful and delicious. The kids especially loved the fruit cake. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend Buttercooky to anyone!

I got a chai latte and black & white cookie. I wanted to change my mind from the last review because the amount of people who were coming and going looked promising. Nope. My chai was hella sweet, it just tasted like sweet, no chai flavor, no tea, no spices. My black and white was similar. Tasted no vanilla and no chocolate. My friend liked his cappuccino but disliked the cannoli. I'm very sad about this, I'm going to keep looking for a place to sit and have coffee/tea.
