AT&T Internet - The mess that was left after digging up my lawn. No sod replaced, 2 sprinkler heads still buried, and won't take responsibility.

Avoid AT&T for business service. I have spent hours on the phone and in stores trying to fix an…read moreaccount access problem that AT&T's own employees could not resolve. Because I could never log in, I did not discover until later that I had been charged for an added phone line I never authorized, a tablet I never received, and Gateway equipment I had already returned because the reception was poor. Terrible customer service, no follow-through, and a very frustrating experience overall.

AT&T is awful. I had AT&T for several years, but in recent years, they could not keep my Internet…read moreworking. They would schedule a time for a tech to appear, then not show up. Most annoying, AT&T's so-called "Virtual Assistant" schedules stuff and dialogs with customers, but it's an outright liar. I waited for a tech one day during the 8 - 12 window Virtual Assistant gave me. Virtual Assistant kept texting me "we're late but we're on the way" for over FOUR HOURS. When it was obvious the tech did not show up, I texted "When are you coming?" Virtual Assistant answered, "We can help you with that." The next day, Virtual Assistant texted "Your repair is complete." I replied, "I don't believe you." Virtual Assistant replied (again) "We can help you with that." Total incompetence. I switched to Spectrum. After I terminated AT&T, they emailed me a "How did we do?" inquiry. I answered it, and a couple of weeks later I received the same inquiry. AT&T's downfall is its stupid automated communications. The nice thing about Spectrum is that they have live people there to answer the phone and their answers are helpful.

North Texas Fiber - The box going into my house. And you said the job was done? The conduit is not completed.

They stopped providing internet in March for 1 week. Each day getting updates was like pulling…read moreteeth, then one word responses, its coming, tomorrow, in a few hours. Then got an invoice for the full amount. Communication with them is absolutely horrible. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

To start, the internet they provided for me in Sherman TX, was excellent. 2 gigs up/2 gigs…read moredown....crazy fast. Never once had an outage in the roughly 10 months that i had the service, so I never had a need to call about anything service or outage related. Excellent product. When I signed up for NT Fiber, it was the only option allowed in Sherman Park Village, a then brand new apartment complex in Sherman TX. I would have liked to stay with Sparklight, since I'd been doing business with them for over a decade at that point. When I signed up I was told that I could receive a bill in the mail and send a check as payment each month, as I preferred. That turned out to be untrue. After the first month or so when I received an email about nonpayment, it turned out they had to have a card on file, and charge it each month. Not the end of the world, just not what I was told. I bought my first home about a week ago, and got moved in this past weekend. I opted to go with Sparklight instead of NT Fiber. I started calling yesterday, the 23rd of March 2026, at about 9:18 a.m. I just got a call back today the 24th of March 2026, at about 2 p.m. I probably called 30 times or more, trying to get someone on the line to cancel my service. Left multiple messages. At 12:19 today I sent an email, detailing how many times I'd called, and asking for my service to be cancelled. About 1.5 hours later, I got a 1 word response from a Bobby with NT Fiber. "cancelled" I was going to flame the company pretty hard about that, but about 15 minutes later I got a phone call from a Rachel, with NT Fiber. She was perfectly pleasant, relayed that my service had been cancelled, and all payments stopped, and thanked me for being a customer. I told her I had been seconds away from a nasty review, and that a Bobby had left a single word response to my email. She told me that a stomach virus, or something like it, had torn up their office and that they were on a skeleton crew. Understandable. I'm leaving a 3 star review. It's not a 1 star because Rachel called me and was polite and professional, and overall the experience was pretty good with the company, and in my case at least, the product was phenomenal. It's not a 5 star, because it took me over 24 hours, 30+ phone calls, and 1 email to get a response from a company whose hours are listed as 24 hours a day. And I feel I was intentionally misled about the billing process at the start, back in June of last year. Hope this review helps someone.

I signed up for 5G Home Internet and canceled within 2 weeks. After cancellation and receiving my…read morefinal bill, I could no longer access my account online or through their app. It takes finagling and going through other departments to actually speak with someone when you do not have your mobile phone and account number assignment for the home internet, which you can no longer access since you can no longer login. I am being charged over $400 for one of the "FREE" offerings at sign up and after finally reaching them the first time they told me to call them back after a specified number of days to get a credit applied. I was able to get through after again jumping through hoops to get through the automated phone system and again asked to call back after a specified number of days. I spent 45 minutes, talking to 3 different departments, and still have not been able to be transferred to the correct department. It boggles my mind that employees actually make these decision on processes and systems for their company, go through development, testing and implementation. These people are actually getting paid to make mistakes and apparently do nothing to resolve or make their servicing better. Unbelievable. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Anyway, Elliot worked about 10 minutes and had the problem fixed with ease. Unfortunately, I had already spent an hour. Getting no help whatsoever. Also, I believe in opportunities for everyone, but you really need better. English speaking phone support.
